i work at albertson's (a grocery store here in america) (the rest of america knows it as acme, star, super valu, or a few other names) and we have automatic doors that open like, well, a door. and they don't open particularly quickly. in fact, i often run into them. i did notice, however, that if i pretend i have force powers, the motion of me swinging my arm will trip the motion sensor earlier and the door opens without me running into it. so now i do it quite frequently.
First, I always do the Force thing at automatic doors. Supermarkets, the mall, the hospital, the airport...as a matter of fact, it's just occurred to me that automatic doors are geeky in two ways: 1. you can do the Force thing 2. if you forget to do the force thing (or are too embarrassed), it's really the only thing we have at the moment from Star Trek. Second, did you tape your camera to your helmet or the bike to film that bit?
i want to see pics of that nasty bruise...btw, a hint of advice, you should a doctor about insomnia...they might just give you magic little pink pills called Ambien to make you sleep for 8hrs at a stretch. thats what they did for me! :)
XD I don't really do the whole force powers open the door thing. I do more of the "open says me" as move my arms out as if opening the sliding doors. XD
Blunty, maybe you actually do have force powers..i just got back from the store and the door didnt open for me >.< I was just standing there like..shit what do i do now?? The world has foresaken me :(
i do the same thing with automatic doors... it's scary that you mentioned that. lol I'd go to wal mart and do that and the greeters always laugh at me. I think i embarrass my friends. hhahah.
It might be just a scooter but SPEEDING is so cool and exciting!...right Blunty? To go as fast as you can on anything is so AWESOME!...ain't that right Blunty? This is so insightful of you to show your speeding video to all those cool kids out there! Speeding on busy streets is so FUN COOL AWESOME and EXCITING!!
Do you have kids blunty? If not I hope you do some day. You're going to be a great father!!!!
i pretend i have force powers all the time! well, not really but i did when i was a kid, id try to mind controll kids into doing shit for me, probably explains why im so lazy these days. oh well, glad you survived your scooter incident and i hope you get over your sleeping troubles, i have trouble sleeping too so i guess i know how ya feel.
Ouch! hope your ok.. I use to ride scooter like a hardcore back in my country where we could get away in riding a scooter on the main roads at the age of 10.. so thats pretty fuckin mad!! and btw the end bit got me laughin..:D:D:D
I love to here those scar stories of yours dude, cool! I'm quite interested to those interesting experiences. Scars and bruises surely to brag about even my friends from webdate_dot_com told lots of stories like that and somehow fascinates me. Wow! that was nice, thanks for taking me a ride on your scooter.
What you'll find that may help with your insomnia, is to just clear your mind, and dont perscribe notions to everything, just to offer some positive advice, then you'll find that your bed feals less like a nother part of the routine of the day but a soft cusion of dreams.
My god, you're so cute :) Hey, they have Shell in Aussie! I didn't know that. They're in Illinois (where I'm from originally), but I've yet to see any in the NYC area (where I am now).
If I'm not mistaken, in Australia, the sides of the roads on which you drive on are reversed. In fact, I think America is the only country that drives on the right side, except for Canada, and maybe Mexico. Anyway, I hope that was Scootimus Prime that got all scuffed up there, Blunty.
I got a virtual ride on Scootimus Prime! Sweet. Drive safely dear ;) I do that force power thing with the automatic doors too! My fiance laughed at me just the other day for it, I didn't even realize I was doing it. The only comeback I had was to wave my hand in front of his face and say "This is not the nerd you're looking for...move along." My Alec Guiness is really shoddy. BTW, you look good without the hat. I request the next video to be completely hatless.
mines not force powers ..more or less...its me walked up as close to the door as possible before it opens and goin "open" hehe..lol i control all automatic doors...lol
woo! i suggested the camera on the bike, couple vids ago...either I'm psychic, or you follow threw with my suggestion...woo that's freakin awesome man!
Not only do I do the force thing with automatic doors, but also when it gets real windy and you get those little dirt devil things with leaves twising up into the air... I always pretend like I'm Storm from XMen. haha
Ha ha. Dude, I'm watching the video and see you riding and I'm thinking "holy shit he's riding into on coming traffic!"... Then I realize what's going on. That would scare me... and I'd probally forget to stay on that side

ouchies i'm glad you're okay! >.< i've had some pretty bad accidents myself. i was riding my bike in front of my house where there's a steep hill. right at the bottom i suddenly flip over my handlebars and my face hits the gravel street. i had a helmet on but i still had a huge mark near to my left eye and gashes on my knees and elbows.
and yes i have found myself pretending i'm using the force to open doors lol. i'm a geek too but that's okay cuz geeks are cool! ~Sam~ ^_^
I recall when I was young, I used to step on the "automatically open the door" mat so that the door openned just before the customer got the chance to step on it. Oddly enough, I often got a "Thank You". People were so polite back then, or had a sense of humor.
Well yeah OK. I guess I have done the force power thing on things I DID'NT program, but I'm sometimes made the fool because it did't work the way I thought it should.

LMAO! im exactly the same! the other week i had about 10 staff members at a shop laughing at me cause i subconciously raised my hand like a jedi at an automatic door... that didnt open till i put my hand down, in which it suddenly started to open so i lifted my hand up again and tried to make it look like i meant for that to happen lol ^^;
my dumbass friend broke my scooter it only goes 30 miles an hour but he forgot to hold the breaks when he turned it on and it bent the suspension we spent $80 fixingit then turns out the idiots who fixed it didn't tighten it enough and the suspension fell apart that was 2 years ago I need to get it fixed.
When i can't sleep, if i am worrying about something or i have a head ache I have a hot whisky. That always works, warms you up, calms u down and its easier to nod off. Also try and limit your use of the internet etc. do it only for a bit each day, get used to it and u won't have any problems.
Oh my gosh! I'm glad you're ok! I gasped when you described how the mesh of the jacket crept into your arm. I would have gone straight to the hospital or something.
I dont know if its a good or bad thing, that I do pretend that I have super powers while opening automatic doors.. I think that if I put on a cape, and some spandex then it would be a problem right?
i accidently punched through a window three years ago...17 stiches...blood everywhere...ugh-ie ugh still have the scar as barable as it was 3 years ago XD love the vid.
Ohhh my friend crashed into a barrier on his bike wasnt pretty :( My dad refuses to let me ride my bike unless i wear these things called dragon jeans there kevlar lined really good when i came off i only got a tiny tear on the pocket :) yay for them
ugh your story reminded me of this guy i was in a play with. he had an accident on his motorcycle and got a really bad road rash on his arm and broke it. funny thing is, he had to play the violin (fake playing) with a cast :P we tried our best to conceal the cast, but of course there was that little bit peeking out of his jacket.
loved the vid hun! and the scooter footage rocked! just don't eat at burger jacks so much! :P
tee hee! riding on the left side of the road! i've always wondered how i'd managed if i went somewhere where i had to drive on the left side of the road.
I had no idea how many people are walking around pretending they have force powers!!! I've been missing out - I'll have to see if the force is with me next time I go to the supermarket!
I have to admit something; on occasion, I also use the force to open automatic doors.... so sad lol. I want a motorbike - but I choose life. But what sort of life would it be if I didn't try to cheat death as often as possible???!?!?
If you enjoyed the scooter ride,OR if you din´t you HAVE to check out MORDETH13´s videos..A canadian living in taiwan, who drives his ninja through intense innercity traffic, or goes for nice calming ride through the mountains of taiwan, while telling random story´s and/or commenting on traffic and his surroundings.
I generally find them very amusing! hope you enjoy.
maybe you wouldnt have lack of sleep if you didnt feel the need to make these videos... its weird because im sure im brain washed into watching your videos because when ever i see your face on most discussed i cant help but click it and hear your dull storys.
maybe i miss read discussed and i think it says most disgusted.... ah well i dont know
Ohhhhh, yeahhhh - duh! *sigh* I'm not exactly getting enough sleep either. I finally moved my computer out of the bedroom. Now I'll have to go to bed earlier!
Blunty, forget all those look-a-like suggestions that you've had. I'm telling you who you're the spitting image of in this video. Former French international 'soccer' player and Birmingham City legend - Christophe Dugarry. Look him up. I'm telling you! Hero of mine. Christophe that is, not you.
i friend of mine drives a scooter and he got into an aceident and ended up choping of the tip of one of his fingers...and yes..i do pretend i have force powers like that now and again
going that fast on the wrong side of the damn road, holy crap these australian or tasmaniacs or whatever place a small monetary figure upon things like value of being alive i guess.
Lol. I think I mighta did the door thing at one point. But now I find myself knowing when the toaster is going to pop. The mitochondrions or whatever the hell they were tell me so!
midichlorians, they are tiny sea monkeys with green lantern power rings and live up your bum, granting you the ability to bend any spoon and kick ass with swords or a bow staff

Climaco1160 5 years ago
Blunty, forget all those look-a-like suggestions that you've had. I'm telling you who you're the spitting image of in this video. Former French international 'soccer' player and Birmingham City legend - Christophe Dugarry. Look him up. I'm telling you! Hero of mine. Christophe that is, not you.
