  • What is the foolish reason why Foreigner isn't in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? They should be entered into the R&R Hall of Fame. I never heard of anything so ridiculous. Lou Gramm was Foreigner, and Foreigner should ask Lou to come back to sing. Lou made those songs popular.

  • RESPECT to him.Go and entertain people.we still have a good time hear you singing.

  • The Hall of Fame is a joke.

  • @DaveRFuller thank you for putting up the history here ~ I have been wondering what actually happened to Lou & I am happy to be educated here ~ Many Blessings to the man & urself!

  • I was washed by the Blood of our saviour this year too,and believe me If you read the bible and give your life to the Lord, everything that is asked in the name of Yeshuah will be granted, Honor the Father and love him over anything else,I suggest you to read God's war On terror from Walid Shoebat To fully Understand the bible from the Middle eastern point of View and ultimate understanding.God bless you all

  • It will never ever matter if they make the R&R hall of fame! Period! People who've heard, and know Foreigner (only with L.Grammar) will forever be famous. Period.

  • I always wondered what happened to Foreigner. I watched the whole thing, great story. It appears Lou has a wonderful outlook all things considered. I hope that all of the original members do make it into the R&R hall of fame. Its time that organization starts rewarding Rock and Rollers and not pop stars. As far as that goes it doesnt really matter to us old Rockers, Foreigner has been in our R&R Hall of Fame since the late 70's. Thanks for posting.

  • Plus tons more Foreigner, Black Sheep (Lou Gramms First Band), Procol Harum, Kansas, Bad Company, Elton John, Billy Joel. There is way too many to name

  • I would like to see him get together with the other origiinal members of the band outside of Jones and do a tour doing songs he co-wrote. He can call the band Non-Native Sons.

  • he sounds jealous. let him fade out as he wants to.

  • I have been a Foreigner fan for YEARS, and I agree, Lou Gramm MADE Foreigner. His voice gives me shivers every time I hear him sing.Ya, Fuck the Hall of Fame, really. Lou Gramm has overcome some horrific medical problems and he came back..You're awesome, Lou..

  • thanks for posting this!

  • we get it lou, your still mad at mick for killing it with foreigner after you bitched out. get over it and let it go. mick is god and kelly hansen is the man. foreigner is stronger than ever, cant slow down is the shit! of course thats no suprise since mick wrote every foreigner song and still is. you have a great voice but its over. you would think after all the christian bullshit you would stop holding a grudge.

  • @natimaxx quit fighting the strawman you set up bud. he said whatever mick is doing "power to him." sounds to me like you're holding a grudge against an aging rock legend. get ahold of yourself man

  • FOREIGNER FUCKING RULES!!!! Yea I'm only in my 20's but got much love for this group....the songs are endless....PUT THEM IN DA HALL OF FAME!!!

  • Who needs the Hall of Fame anyway? Foreigner were never fashionable, but that doesn't matter - they've always been successful on their own terms.

  • How did he manage to get married and have kids after he got sick with the brain tumors?

  • Fuck the Hall of Fame. They have the Beastie Boys up for consideration and put Metallica in. They have ZERO credibility. It's nothing more than a reward for posers that suck dick of Rolling Stone blog journalists and MTV executives. Foreigner's discography IS a rock and roll hall of fame. Other artists should be writing in to Lou Gramm for induction at HIS Hall. He is the TRUE Jukebox Hero.

  • @utility4321012 i think that just about covers it.

  • @utility4321012

But Metallica did deserve to get in. They revolutionized metal. The R&R Hall of Fame is a joke though because it's all controlled by Jann Wenner and he only inducts artists that he personally likes whether they deserve it or not.

  • @NeilFraudstrong Metallica revolutionized the branding of metal, and newer-era bands in general, not the genre of metal itself. Hence why they inbedded the word, 'Metal', in their name. You simply chose to buy into their marketing scheme. I know of no genuine metal afficionados who regard Metallica/Megadeth/Testament/Slayer and to some degree Pantera, as anything more as well-rehearsed, wallpaper motifs of metal. Which is fine. But their intended art, was pedestrian and far from revolutionary.

  • @utility4321012 foreinger is in good company along with kiss, rush and chicago and your right rolling stone mag are usless idiots that dont know chit

  • The hell with the band, Induct LouGramm into the hall of fame, he deserves it.

    how many people agree!?

  • Thanks for posting.

  • Saw Lou Gramm Live at Arts Beats and Eats in Royal Oak MI Sep 3rd 2011 He's still Got it!

  • they always say he is the voice behind the hits. but he also wrote a lot of the hits with mick.

  • cute. the kids singing along. omg! love it. love it love it.

  • Wow!! Thank You, Dave, for posting this!!! It's really cool!!! I Love it!! Rock on Mr. Gramm!!!

  • Thumbs up if you saw Lou Gramm on TMZ!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unreckognizable but who cares he has the best voice in the world (one of em) and I love him! If I had ONE question-like if I were TMZ I would ask about this song! Who inspired it!? What would YOU ask?

  • Journey was nothing til Steve Perry's voice made them famous......

  • @Silltony51 Your kidding right listen to Journeys 1975 self titled debut nothing Steve Perry has done with the band comes close to that album. Steve Perry watered the band right down what a shame

  • @TheBeaugraham

Didn't say they were not a good band before Steve....they would not have had and enjoyed the type of success they have had without him.....

  • @Silltony51 That is true its too bad because the original Journey had a great hard prog sound with the Organ and Guitar upfront once Steve joined both instruments were somewhat delegated the background.

  • @TheBeaugraham Steve Perry MADE Journey you MORON.. NO hits before him, NONE AFTER. Any questions??

  • @NoSteveNoPoint Fuck you man who cares if they had no hits before him. In terms of musical and song composition the first Journey lineup blows that sellout, bubblegum gay radio friendly Journey away. I can see you are in Love with Steve you better bring more to a discussion than Hits. I bet you are one of these guys that think Chicago-17 was their best album as well. Once again Steve didnt make Journey he helped with their record sales because as you know the mindless masses love that shit.

  • @TheBeaugraham The MINDLESS masses would be the MAJORITY. So that would leave morons like you in the MINORITY. Sorry, Truth hurts.

  • @NoSteveNoPoint The truth does hurt but unfortunately its the other way around look at it this way Michael Jackson's thriller is the second bigget selling album of all time. Is anyone gonna tell me that Thriller is actually the second best album in the history of music i think not. Britany Spears's albums have out sold the first Journey album im sure record sales mean shit. Its people like you and other with generic taste that just love that AOR garbage era of Journey. Sad stuff

  • @TheBeaugraham U mean ROR don't you?? LOL And NO, My favorite Perry years were with Greg Rollie 77-80, so don't lump everyone in the same boat. Perry's voice was the best I've ever heard on ANY man, regardless of what he was singing. What is SAD are these morons that think Arnel sounds like Perry. What an insult

  • @NoSteveNoPoint Feeling That Way/Anytime is the only song i like from that era. Your serious Steve is your fav singer of all time i have never met anyone who ranks him first. You would put him ahead of Lou Gramm, Paul Rodgers, Jon Anderson, Roger Daltry, Ian Gillan, Daryl Hal. High pitch singers i can only take for a short time they get on my nerves quick because of the tone of their voice not to mention the kind of songs they sing. Dennis Deyoung is another example.

  • @TheBeaugraham Go listen to " Mother Father Live in Houston 1981" and tell me there has ever been a better live vocal performance.

  • @NoSteveNoPoint I hope to hell its better than the studio version some suggested i listen to Mother Father from the Escape album. Thanks a lot what a horrible song hearing him sing Mutha Fatha in that tone almost made me sick. Still They Ride takes the cake for the only song i like from the Escape album

  • @TheBeaugraham It's MUCH better than the studio version. Go listen. And while you're at it, look up Still They Ride Live in Japan 1983. It's WAY better than the studio version as well.

  • @NoSteveNoPoint At some point im not much into commercial music anymore i cant stand the radio. It takes good songs and ruins them by being overplayed. Im into obscure stuff from the late 60's and 70's there is so much greatness from the time. The original Journey wasnt commercial i loved the Hammond Organ and Greg Rollie's voice a limited baritone but easy to listen to none the less. Look Into The Future could be the best song they did all 8 minutes of it.

  • @TheBeaugraham Mother Father Live is FAR from any commercial music I've heard. Neal Schon said it was his favorite Journey song to play Live.

  • @NoSteveNoPoint Thats what i forgot to mention once Stevie boy came on board Neal's guitar playing wasnt as prominent too bad.

  • @TheBeaugraham Too bad for you, not me. Neal has said many times, Steve was the reason for their success ( check out my page. I have the video) While YOU may like rock fusion, most people don't

  • @NoSteveNoPoint Luckily i was blessed with great music taste it dont matter to me what the mindless masses listen to its for the most part radio friendly junk. My favs are Allman Brothers,April Wine, Steely Dan, Chicago (early stuff), Grand Funk, Humble Pie, Deep Purple, Yes, Free. Southern Rock, Blues Rock, Jazz Rock, Pysch Rock, Horn Rock, Hammond Organ Rock and other gems from the late 60's and 70's. Im eclectic but i dont like every genre of music because there is some garbage out there.

  • @TheBeaugraham I am a vocalist, therefore great voices lure me to music. Guitar players are a dime a dozen. Voices Like Steve's are one in a Billion

  • I can understand Lou, I admire this man. He is the original and definitely the true voice of Foreigner. In Journey case, Neal Schon is the co-founder and the original voice behind Journey was Gregg Rolie. Steve Perry was hired Journey singer.

Fuck Rock N Roll Hall of Fame!! more power to you Lou

  • Now 61, Good luck Lou! I turned 45 August 8th The RnR Hall of Fame politics has NO PLACE in music, and SHAME on them for doing such things as Lou describes. It would not even merit credibility Lou is someone I always sing along with, he does have THAT Voice, and Mick ain't bad either, he felt a younger band would help Foreigner have a new fresh approach. I'm in MN by the way

  • @MetallicBill Ozzy did a stint at Hazaldine I think it is, one of the drug rehabs here in Minnesota and said it was the worst one for him, or at least of all the ones he'd been to, all I can say is WOW! haha Lou always sang about relationships and love in a way that's not offensive to Christians really, so it's surprising he felt he had to convert his belief system?

  • Too bad there isn't a LOVE button, here!

  • Who wants to go around the world with that chicky babe newscaster?

  • Lou will always be the voice of Foreigner. The rest can be replaced by the endless rotation of hired gun musicians that populate bands these days in order to try to sell concert tickets. I've always found the human voice to be the most unique and powerful instrument and great ones are rare. Lou's stands far above most in the rock genre. Be well and live the life you love Lou!

  • Foreigner should be in the Rock and Roll Hall of fame and lou Gramm in the best voices of all time list. All his fans should contact the Hall of fame ...R.E.S.P.E.C.T. for Foreigner !

  • Foreigner without Lou Gramm...lol. No Way! Hang it up "Mic" you're just another band... without sweet Lou. Good Luck with your health and with the "Lou Gramm Band".

  • @bohtzsah2002 I was in a Foreigner concert a week a ago and the new lead singer is really GOOD, very good never like Lou but the band sounded great...NOT like Journey without Steve Perry which the new guy really SUCKED >

  • Mr Gram , I made a comment awhile back on one of your resent Videos that after seeing this I am so sorry I had no idea , I guess I put my foot in my mouth...to your health Mr Gram ..again I feel bad and I am sorry.BTW you should be in the hall of fame

  • @tjrtherocksponge Yes Gilmour did the right thing but I think waters needs to play some of gilmours own music not just gilmour playing floyd with waters

  • Mick Jones split FOreigner and he fucked up their chances at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, dickhead!

  • Comment removed

  • @guitarheroguy5 Amen ! So True

  • The R&R HOF is a SHAM! Foreigner absolutely belongs! I saw them in Toledo in '92 at a free concert, ALL of them, and they tore it up!

  • @cep32101 they do but as Doc Emmett Brown would say no one should know too much about their own destiny and Foreigner tried that, at least mick did and now he's paying the price no hall of fame

  • You are in my Hall of Fame, forever.

  • i'am very impressed by Lou ,once again

  • The RRHF is merely a private business/club that choose so called inductees based on their own subjective whims. It really has no legitimacy. It should be shunned altogether.

  • We love you man, but you're wrong when you said, that is ridiculous to see all this bands in the 60's still playing. Listen you're strong believer in god, well you were sent to this planet to entretaint us, AND YOU CERTAINLY DID, so what's wrong about keep doing what you know best and blessing us at the same time, I'am not asking to go on tour every year, But please don't quite for good, CAN'T YOU SEE, you changed our lives at one time, you quit and some memories in our lives will die.

    god ble

  • I miss music like this, there's no true special voices anymore! :( I'd pick Lou Gramm over the new voice of Bruno Mars any day, although I'll happily state that the latter is hugely talented with a great voice. But I miss the rock singer voice, especially since the 70's and 80's were littered with em!!

  • SOU FÃ DO LOU GRAMM,ADORO SUAS MÚSICAS....PEÇO A DEUS

    QUE LHE PROTEJA!!!

  • Grand Master Flash is in the Hall of Fame.....But no Lou Gramm or Foreigner...WHat the Fuck is Up With That !!!! ROck fans should be able to niminate, vote, and uliimately decide who deserves to be there!!! Breaks my heart to think that a few POMPOUS ASSHOLES get to decide who becomes a member of the Hall of Fame, instead of the fans who listened to the music on the radio, bought their music at the stores, paid for concert tickets, went to their shows, and supported them for years !!!!! WTF !!!

  • @reggiemag True that! We as fans, listeners and rockers should have the say. Peace and Aloha!

  • Fuck mick LoU is the best singer ever and deserves to be put in the hall of fame

  • none of us look the way we did! you're great. Come as you are. We all love you!

  • Go Lou!!

  • I believe lou gramm is in the same class of vocalists such as steve perry of journey and dennis deyoung of styx, irreplaceable. As far as the rock and roll hall of fame? what is maddona doing in there? sounds more like the hall of lame!!!

  • Foreigner, Rush, and the Moody Blues-to name a few-not in the Hall of Fame? Are you serious? I propose a legitimate Hall of Fame be constructed without the politically correct idiots on the selection committee! Let's start a movement rocker's. I'm from Fort Wayne, Indiana; we can put it here or any other city that appreciates true rock talent. Thank you.

  • @kennyvegas1 Rock hall is overated and soon will be out of business.

  • I am hoping that someday Lou will write an autobiography. What a life story! You are an inspiration to us. Thank you Lou. God Bless You and your family.

  • If there was a ever a time for the original guys of Foreigner to back together one more time it's now, or very soon. Mick Jones needs to wake up and realize a lot of fans aren't interested in the new singer.

  • I'd like to see hime get back together with the original members of Foreigner outside of Jones and do a tour.

  • Rochester LOVES you, Lou!! The world loves you! May you continue to be blessed with health and happiness.

  • What's the youngish blonde woman's name? Holly? Halle? WOW. She is so gorgeous.

  • Glad your doing good Lou...awesome twins! F..the Hall of fame, you gave us some great music. Thanks

  • my dad went to same school with him.

  • Glad he feels better! Hes a very lucky man

  • They won't get in the Hall of Fame because too many people listen to douchebag "music critics". Most of the stuff the critics hate, I like and the stuff they like, I hate.

I don't like people telling me what to like and what not to like.

  • @TCall2004 ur so right

  • Lou has much grace and decorum dealing with all the questions about "Foreigner". Let it go. Micj Jones uses the name Foreigner because he gets way more gigs than if he called it, "The Mick Jones Band".

  • It's the dollar store robert plant!

  • Lou...You are such an inspiration to your fans...you were one of my favorite singers/bands in the 70's and I still love your Foreigner hits and your new praise songs. I listen to you almost every night and it gives me great joy to hear your beautiful voice sing for our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. May God continue to bless you and your family!!

  • We all here in Rochester love you very much LOU, you are a hall of famer to us !!

  • The Lou Gramm Band is much better than the current refurbished Foreigner lineup. Lou's voice has improved significantly in the last 8 years. Sounds like Mick dropped the ball of getting Foreigner into the Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame..funny how history is repeated. I vote for just Lou Gramm/ Lou Gramm Band to be in the Hall of Fame he has had three successful solo albums now! That would really get Mick's head spinning.

  • I really hope he comes to England before he hangs up his mic for good.

  • Lou's time with Foreigner may be done, but it was his time with them that put them on the charts again and again! They are'nt Foreigner without him and they should hang it up!!!

  • I went onto the Hall of Fame website. I was even more confused on how musicians are voted in, after reading the procedure. Popularity has nothing to do with it, according to the Hall of Fame. Go Figure.....

  • I went onto the Hall of Fame website. I was even more confused on how musicians are voted in, after reading the procedure. Popularity has nothing to do with it, according to the Hall of Fame. Maybe talent is in the eyes of the beholder.

  • @northernlitez1

I disagree. The singer they have now is Excellent. I'm sure Lou would want the music to continue.

  • Comment removed

  • Enjoyed the interview with one of my favorite singers that I grew up listening too...May God continue to bless you Lou! You sound as great as ever.

  • Thanks for posting this. I almost came close to meeting him backstage at a Foreigner concert, but I chickened out.

  • DAVE, excellent job! you have made many of us happy by posting !!Thank you :O)

  • Muchas Gracias for posting!

  • David, thank you for this post.

Lou, if you're reading this, how about a second career as a vocal teacher?. You'd be innudated with students. I'd like to be first.!!

  • i am shamed i do not know him!!!

  • 1 of the best singers in the last 40yrs

  • @diagreen yeah along with steve perry, russell hitchcock and a few others.. no more

  • Cool. Nice Dave!
