Actually the straight 6 and 8, which for all falcon and fpv range, are developed and designed in Australian. Reason why FPV is called Ford Performance Vehicles, this range only exist in Aus and NZ. Not much American influence with Falcon range. It has almost always been a Ford Aus development. And ironically the FPV range, actually uses a lot German parts. Starting of with the F6 transmission. One thing Ford Aus wont do like Holden is rename the car and sell it in the US.
