  • sounds like nightmare on elm street

  • Dude I see you didnt bother getting that sky high point bonus midway. I wish you hadnt I never figuted out how to get it, but then again I was like 10 or something.

  • OMG. I could never, ever, get past the part at 2:20. I played the first 2 stages so many times, and every time was thwarted by that.. and now I know its mystery.

  • Best theme from the game <3

  • that boss thing wasted a lot of time in my childhood. probably the worst mistake a game has ever made in my opinion.

  • heh. no matter how many times I used to hit that boss I could never beat him. I was sure the game was bugged so badly the boss was invulnerable or something. many many attempts notwithstanding.

  • @shishikyuu There actually is a glitch that if you fight him in a particular month, then he's completely invincible. What month this is I have no idea.

  • @NarutosDemonForm sounds like a glitch that can happen in cheetahmen 2 where when you fight the monkey boss you get stuck in absolute limbo until you just die sitting there watching the game.

  • @NarutosDemonForm sounds like a freaky glitch!

  • Please, help me!!!

I played this level in the same sequence as in this video, but just before I must pick up 3rd orb, some blue moneybags falls instead. What I did wrong?

When I was a kid I never see the end of the game. I hated it over 5 years till I got Dreamcast.

  • @MrOreshkin Truthfully in all the years I've played this game, I've never had that happen to me.

  • @NarutosDemonForm

It's kinda funny, that blue bags appears only when playing VNES emulator. Recently I tried Nestopia and saw no that damned bags.

  • @MrOreshkin I've had the same thing happen!

  • @sevenpimp

I solved the problem recently. Try Nestopia emulator :3

  • Thanks for the video. Damnit I hated this stage when i was a kid. I think I managed to beat the boss once and failed on the next stage. So much time wasted just on this game, but it was worth it =)=)

  • (as a kid) I did 2 years to discover how to get the ball at 2:23

  • i could never beat this stage as a kid, it was very frusterating

  • I always hated this game when I was a kid, I found it creepy for some reason. Was probably only about 8. Anyway great vid, good to finally learn about those bastarding orbs.

  • i didn't understood why when i played this game as a kid, sometimes, the boss was killed and sometimes he seems to never die

  • @3anaurv2 Apparently there is a time limit to beating this boss. If you don't kill him before you reach a particular time, then it will become impossible to beat him. I think that this is the only boss that's like this.

  • @NarutosDemonForm i didn't knew that but now i understand , i think it's the only one like this too

  • For 20 years now, the third orb in this stage has haunted my nightmares. And now I watch this and find out you have to SHOOT IT?!

    ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

    ...I hate Rare so much for unleashing this game upon my childhood. ;_;

  • @SeraphisCain Lol. I sure helps to have someone who knew some of the in's and out's of this game.

  • Holy shit. I NEVER beat that boss. I tried hundreds of times as a kid. I tried using different guns, and even barefists. I went in with full lives and full health and still got my ass beat everytime. I actually thought it was a flaw in the game until i watched your video. I almost cried when you beat him in like 30 seconds..... my whole childhood wasted.

  • @Sifinland It took me the longest time to finally figure out that you have to use the pistol and that alone, which makes me wonder why they would even give you a shotgun to begin with...

  • Wait, how the FUCK did you just pwm that mexican gunslinger alien so fast?

You must have it down to a tee how to avoid being hit. I mean I knew it was all about hitting him a certain number of times successively *without* once getting hit yourself. But damn.

BTW in front of the stable if you punch 4 or 5 horse shoes you gain an extra life, only works once though. At the station if you collect the orb first and wait a second blue money bags fall and keep falling till grabbing the red.

  • @GTA2SWcity The key to beating him is to stay behind him the entire fight. He's not very hard, but he does take ALOT of bullets to take down.

Never knew about the horseshoes or the money bags, but then again I was trying to hurry and finish this game.

  • @NarutosDemonForm No I beat him, I was just admiring how FAST you did it and how flawless you were.

According to the MB rep/expert guy my dad called out to the house when I was a little kid (by now ancient history) it takes between 40-80 shots.

  • @GTA2SWcity We'll just call it a lucky draw then.

  • oh man, that final boss was NOT COOL!

that hurt my feelings, and i'm not even a mexican!

first time i saw him i scrunched back like someone hit me in the stomach

  • @rustyoneone I think that a better boss would have been either a outlaw or the sheriff of the town.

  • I love the music. I can't exactly put my finger on why, but the music has a different "feel" to it than a lot of other NES soundtracks. And it's quite memorable; it has stuck with me longer than any other aspect of the game.

  • Stage: Dead man's Gulch.

    Boss: Stereotypical Mexican.

  • @Shavarnarak i know lol fuck that

  • holy fuck i always remember that fat mexican being so hard.

  • Oh... wow... does this bring back memories. I never could get that one orb that lifts up whenever you get near. I could never figure it out. Then again, I was seven... I would love to get this game again.

  • Haha, fat mexican at the end.

  • This game was a bit unbalanced but as a child I didn't care; I just played the game until I was good enough at it. As a result I actually liked it :P

  • I like the theme of this game.

  • The song of this level is GREAT!!

  • awesome music

  • Couldn't agree MORE!!!!!!!

  • The music for the game is pretty good for a NES game, imo

  • You really think so? I actually think so too.

This game would have been one of the greatest had it not been for the horrible difficultty and some of the stupid enemies. Otherwise I think it would have been ok.

  • the nes was especially notorious for its difficulty, just look at the games today, sometimes i wish it was like it was back then.

  • U said a mouthful! :-)

  • U should be head designer/creator 4 games with that summarization! So so TRUE!!!

  • Are you using a turbo controller?

  • Since there is no ammo meter, I just said what the hell and used the turbo controller.

You REALLY need one against the boss in this stage. And oddly enough the damn shotgun doesn't do crap against the boss.

  • I can understand that. I have had this game for YEARS and never beaten it (I don't have a turbo controller). The furthest I have gotten is the boss at the end of the pirate level (the level after this one). One day I will beat it, respect to you for attempting it (even with save states it is frustrating).

  • music makes me laugh, plus this video reminds me of the old days!!!

  • Exactly!

    :-)
