  • it wasnt like this in the uk

  • Oh my god. It's the Mona Lisa!

  • so awesome. i love these commercials, as well as my little pre nugget

  • Yeah i like them too haha and this isn't frantic piano playing, it's just a french style of playing which makes this music very tight haha

  • how can people think she is scary? I find these commercials very relaxing.

  • its kind of like a soft, nurturing woman who is waay too good to be true.... and then in reality turns out being a complete psychopath..

  • Palm Pre <3

  • Everything about this vid is so surreal...

  • This would be less creepy without the frantic piano playing XD

  • I didn't hear a song, I heard music.

  • I can't tell if I'm more annoyed at how pretentious this is or scared at how eerie it is.

  • so bizarre..

  • that doesnt make sence

  • Comment removed

  • thats really scary

  • This is somebody's idea of control. Control over everything in and around your life. They're trying to sell the idea that this phone can give you that (or at least help you maintain it.) The calm serene background, her seemingly flawless, almost anticeptic looks, that confident little grin. Like, You too can be master of your own little "stepford" universe. I think that's what's creeping people out.

  • shes not flawless... she looks like the girl from the ring, like I honstly was like OH SHIT RUN

  • That's why I said SEEMINGLY flawless. All that stuff together looks like something out of a brainwashing video. (Running would be a good idea!)

  • HI!!!!!

  • song name please??????

  • That chick is weird.

  • any one knows the song played in this commercial?

  • Her name is Tamara Hope, and she's a Canadian actress who's had some minor roles in TV and movies.

  • y does no1 seem to like her? her face looks flawless at the same time giving her something special, its not creepy, its intellegent and the people that say its creepy are idiots. shes mesmorizing.

  • does any1 know who this actor is?, i always stop to watch the commercial because she looks so familiar, and it bugs me that i dont know where ive seen her be4.

  • She was from the Disney movie back in 2000 Stepsister from Planet Weird

  • it does kind of sound like that, but i'm more focused on the part of the song with the sweet beat at the end of the commercial

  • Someone needs to do some palm-pre commercial youtube poops. Any volunteers. Mark?

You can always put Billy Mays in there.

  • What the hell is this song!!!!?????

  • It sounds likes a sample of the piano music from "A Charlie Brown Christmas". If you see the first part of the special, when all of the kid's are skating on the frozen pond, you hear piano music that sounds so much like this.

  • its the most frustrating commercial!

  • for some reason whenever this comes up i always tell everyone in the room to stop talking so I can hear it... i don't know why because it scares the hell out of me and yet there's something hynotizing about that girl

  • yeah i know.

at 0:09 she looks like the mona lisa...weird lol

  • Holy jesus I see this commercial at like 1:30AM and it's CREEPY

  • Nice to see Maculay Culkin can still find work.

  • That made me laugh, out loud, very hard.

    :)

  • I almost peed myself when I read this.

  • dude i lol';d

  • WTF?????

  • okay, why did they have to put all that confusing shit? why not say "you can multitask with the palm pre." i mean i know that all the other phone ads say that and they probably want to be different... but come on. this is on the verge of just plain creepy.

  • i dun get it...

  • She's SOOOO sexy! When this commercial comes on, I stop what I'm doing, just to watch her. It doesn't matter what she's selling, it could be anything, I don't even notice the product.

  • LOL you can have that mannequin with a butter wig.

  • Everytime it comes on, I stop what I'm doing and watch it. Why? I have no clue....She looks hot, but at the same time kind of creepy...

  • shes so awkward

  • I saw the "Palm Pre CM (Traumatizing Edition)" first and was creepped out alot!

And then I saw the actual commercial and was even more creepped out because that's what she actually said!

  • But still I can't help but watch cause like the commercial alot.. XD

  • i dont think its creepy at all.

the "traumatizing edition" is fucking freaky.

but all in all, effective and memorable advertising

  • love this ad

  • she freaks the crap out of me

  • Why is this ad creepy? Because she is not a minority that fits into the liberal politically correct bullshit?

  • lol wut?

  • Didnt you say you liked it and couldnt understand all these hate comments, midnitefairy?

Well, basically there are two sorts of people in this world, people who think abstractly and people who think concretely. Most people think concretely. They hate this commercial because to them its weird and creepy. People who think abstractly cant understand the hate; to them this ad is at worst slightly pretentious but nothing to hate- basically a soothing change of pace from normal, obnoxious TV

  • I do! Idk if its her voice or what? But she captures my attention. Not in a creepy way like everyone else says but in a calming way.

  • Why so Creepy?

  • shit hide the children!!

  • The nervous music in the background combined with the soothing voice of her, this might be one of the creepiest ads ever.

  • haaah, my video is sooo much higher than it should be in the related videos to this, lol

  • I think what angers people so much is that the ad attempts to elevate the product to poetic levels of importance. It all comes off as stupid and pretentious. The "reincarnation" palm pre commercial is especially guilty of this.

  • WOw its so odd but I happen to like this commercial. No one else finds it soothing like I do?? lol I don't get what you people are talking about.

  • They tick me off. They make me so angry - I don't even really know why. Maybe there is something subliminal under them or something. I dunno. I've never had such a gut reaction to any commercial. I just get angry when I see them. I HATE the music. It reminds me of Jaws.

  • hm thats interesting, jaws huh? Im a psychology major and I can't even explain that lol but it seems to be having that effect on a few people. Google Tamara Hope and Tunnel by The Dining Rooms, they're not that bad seperately lol

  • I love this commercial and I do not Know why. I always see it when I'm trying to sleep but when I hear it have to look..I HAVE to. and after its done I feel happy for some reason.

  • I understand what they're trying to say, but they chose an abstract way of communicating it

  • why in the hell.

  • That is HOT!

  • I thought it was computer generated. Her mouth is black inside.

  • This commercial has the potential to kill someone. Like Hypno-toad...

  • I hate this commercial.... so much.... with a passion

  • Me too! Heck I've just hit the OFF button on my tv before when it came on.

  • "I fear the wind."

  • The Flood was here!

  • The Flood is here. Also if Skynet had a face it would be this chick's

  • I know right! This commerical is horrible! The woman is annoying...the music...and everything sounds perverted to my ears...maybe that's just me. There are more annoying commercials though.

  • God, evertime i see this, i want to punch her. Shes so... creepy

  • I saw a juggler, she was good.

    Buy this phone, it's great.

    /commerical summary

  • What is that song i love it

  • The Dining Rooms - "Tunnel"

  • freakish actor , freakish voice and super pale skin !

  • SOUNDTRACK ???????

  • this commericial gives me nightmares.

  • i'm scurred

  • HAHAHA my friend you are absolutely HILARIOUS!

Good for you, though...you are one of the few people on youtube that leave sensible comments.

  • lol was that at me?

  • This frightens me.

  • what is the name of this song??

  • The name of the song is Tre - Tunnel

  • I was just having some fun with this but I do think it's a bit pretentious. I get the metaphor but I'm just not the type to be convinced to buy a phone because of it. If i researched the phone and saw that I needed it okay...but this isn't going to convince me trying to make the situation deeper than it is.

  • The other day I had sex with Nudiford... it was very good. His penis was like... bing, bing, bing. And the weird thing was, the more balls he had up in there, the more the bed shook. It all made me feel really swell.

    The sex was very good.

-At least that's the commercial the way I see it.

  • ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • the song in the background is called "tunnel" by the dining rooms.

  • Look at me! I'm thin, my hair is slicked back and my head is rather large so you know I'm artistic as well as intelligent. I'm possibly nude below this frame shot and now I'm going to talk in metaphors about clowns juggling so you will by a smart phone with about 500 features you will never need or use.

Upgrade your technology so you can upgrade your life.

This is like American Beauty in commercial form. Pretentious garbage.

The type of people who buy these phones eat that shit up

  • I just love how this chick's head looks really big. It makes her look smart and artistic. I also love how she looks almost nude, yet so pure and delightful. I also love the way she says, "...she was very good" because I can hear her saying to me, "the sex was wonderful last night. It was very good."

And most of all is the phone! This phone has like 500 features- way more than a person could ever use! It can really upgrade your life. Awesome!

  • A big head and 500 features is what does it for you? I guess for a fanboy.

What the hell does "500 features" mean? I could make a phone that has 5,000 features... Does that mean it's better than the one with 500?

  • It means you should look at charmedgamer01's comment below to get the joke. I'll bet you have a normal-sized head, don't you? A normal-sized head and pigment, like all freaks. Leave me and my albino goddess alone!

  • well, i was going to agree with u until the end. i like how she does look almost nude, while at the same time delightful and pure of heart.

  • WHAT"S THE SONG???

  • some words that come to mind that describe this ad - sublime, eerie, mesmerizing. i must say i really like it and can't really stop watching it

  • Can I find this song anywhere? Anyone know the name?

  • These commercials are classy. Unlike most commercials that do random and stupid shit just to get attention.

  • Random and stupid shit? Like tell a story about seeing jugglers while trying to sell a phone?

Casual watchers aren't going to get the multitasking insinuation.

It's just a total random statement about jugglers and nothing to do with a phone.

  • if you don't understand it, then your not their target audience. Meaning, you and idiots like you should stay out of smart phones.

  • Yeah, THAT'S the way to convert people.

Treat them idiots if you think they are not your target audience. That's a great way to grow market share.

Oh, and idiots like me are the ones BUILDING the cool stuff that makes smart phones so smart.

Think before you call people idiots. It might end up being a reflection on yourself.

  • Really, bobringer? And what part of the assembly line do you work on, the part that clips together the outer casing or the part that puts the finished phone into the box? You didn't need to take a test on understanding simple metaphors to get that job, did you?

  • Those of us who are ALREADY in the know get the metaphor. We are also the ones that do the research on our own to find the right products to fit our needs. An ad like this talking about jugglers isn't going to change our opinion.

So, that leaves the target of the ad. The non-technical people that need to understand these things. Instead... she talks about jugglers and flips through a few apps on the phone. The TARGET of this commercial is not going to get the metaphor... at all.

  • Look Guys its macauly caulkin HAHAHAHAHHAAHHAA

  • "I can not deny that my heart has longed for this... In place of a dark lord you will have a glorious queen as beautiful and as treacherous as the seas, all shall love me and despair!"

  • good one ihamoitc

  • ah, is she balding?

  • I think most people "get" this commercial. It's bizzare, which is a bit of a change of pace, but it's still a terrible ad.

  • i like this ad. for some reason i cant stop watching it

  • For all you complete fucking morons that think this commercial is cryptic or meaningless and has no correlation to the phone, I will explain. The juggling woman is a direct metaphor of the Pre's ability to have multiple applications up at once that you can browse through. She even fucking shows you this.

  • Great ad and yes, dimwits won't get it, but they won't be able to juggle either.

  • actually... i dun understand why ppl hate this ad...

the only thing that makes it different is that its not flashy like iphone's ads...

but... it strikes me that my life don't have to be so difficult to handle even though i have tons to juggle...

  • What is she talking about? I have no clue how this relates to the phone, and this cryptic shit needs to stop.

  • juggling balls is a metaphor for juggling your life

  • PALM PREEEEEE

  • Nevermind, I found it. It's called "Tunnel" by The Dining Rooms

  • Why does everyone hate this? This is actually a really good commercial, and it's not hard to understand. And who cares what she looks like? What I wanna know is the name of the song that's playing

  • Comment removed

  • Does anyone know what song is playing in the background? Some good drum and bass!

  • most retarded add ive seen besides the pointless bill gates seinfeld commercial

  • I'd like to report the theft of Tarma Hope's eyelashes and skin pigment

  • UNCANNY VALLEY IRL

  • Who is she?

  • Her name is Tamara Hope. Do a image search on google. She looks ten times better with her hair down, along with some nice clothes and some color to her face. But instead they wanted her to hide her hair, look pale, and wear nearly nothing.

  • Thanks. I just googled her, she is way more attractive in the photos I found.

Don't know what the director was thinking. She's a pretty girl and they made her look creepy.

  • worst phone commercial ever!!!!!!

  • This lady is just strange looking, and I hate the commercials...But I want the phone..

  • Uhhh... this definitely does NOT make me want to own a Palm Pre... UGH! Frightening!

  • This is something out of the twilight zone.

  • The woman Lacks Color. People with very fair skin should have light hair. and this commercial doesn't say really anything about the phone in which she is advertising.

  • That's why it's so fuckin wierd o_o;

  • She is creepy

  • what the commercial was trying to get at was that the palm pre can handle multiple applications at once, (the more balls in the air....)

  • So you buy products based solely on the commercial?

If a commercial is intriguing enough, a potential buyer would hop on the internet and do some research.

  • I usually do research on stuff I would spend a lot of money on. But a commercial is supposed to be entertaining and informative, not boring and confusing. You learn almost nothing about the phone and in my opinion they do a horrible job grabbing your attention compaired to Verizon or Sprint. The commercial is intiguing, but only because of the way it is being advertised and not the phone itself. It would be like someone advertising a car while playing baseball, it is confusing and makes no sense

  • Nice research, tazer. The phone is on Sprint, and the concept that the commercial is advertising is the fact that someone can run - or "juggle" - several different applications at once.

  • You: Nice research buddy

Me: I'm not your buddy friend

You: I'm not your friend guy

Me: I'm not your guy buddy

If you do not know what that is off of then I feel sorry for you. And if you had actually listened to me instead of looking for mistakes you would have realized that I hate this commercial because of the way they advertise it, not because of the phone itself. I got what they were trying to say, but the way they said it was stupid and they still haven't shown off enough fearured. Got it?

  • clearly you are missing the message they are trying to get across in this commercial.

"The more balls the juggler had up in the air, the easier she made it look."

"It was a feeling I knew, like deja vu"

lets make the connections here. The Palm Pre is capable of running multiple apps at once. So relate the juggler to the phone. The more apps she runs on her palm pre, the easier she makes it look.

Moral of the story? The Pre easily runs multiple apps making it easy for people to multi-task.

  • And also I hate this woman. She is so unattractive. All she would have to do is put her hair down, put more/less clothes on, and get a tan and this commercial would be much more bearable.

  • But she certainly does make them memorable =P

  • For some reason she reminds me of Hannibal Lecter.

  • balls lol

  • song iz hot girl iz creeepy

  • 0:13 - 0:26

    Thats what she said.

  • nice girl

  • this lady is weird

  • does anyone no the name of the song

  • Yeah, it's called "Tunnel" by "The Dining Rooms"

    Wicked good song.

  • Does anyone know the name of the song playing??

  • This lady is so scary!

  • She is so beautiful :]

  • she is very beautiful; almost unreal, like a vermeer painting.

  • seriously? this ho looks nasty

  • you know why some people find this ad creepy? it is because the scene is so serene and heavenly that they think there is some evil behind it. She seem like the mona lisa come to life.

  • ok so who in PR decided to cast a Children of the Corn girl?

  • I personally find Tamara Hope a beautiful and exotic woman and the music has a calming effect. Thanks MannymanGomez.

  • this commercial gives me nightmares

  • this is the scariest commercial i have ever seen and i cry everytime it comes on

  • There is cute-creepy like the Japanese Goth loli's, there is the intriguing vampiric-creepy of Creepychan, and then there is this ads pre-creepy, which is more like "my emotional and reasoning centers have been anesthetized and there is a slight delay in the commands coming from my mind controlling neural parasite, would you like to buy one?"

  • niiiiiicccee lol

  • that was somehow creepy

  • whats the name of this song?

  • ya what song is that?

  • the tunnel

  • Most people hate these commercials because they hate anything that requires any thought. Alot of people hate the chick because she obviously avoids the sun and pasty isn't cool..

These commercials are odd, but at least they're not Extenze commercials. And the chick will probably look 30 when she's 50 thanks to her obvious avoidance of the sun.

  • yeah thought....or the people in the ad agency figured they could spew out anything obtuse and add a sprinkling of albino girl and that would rope in the 'intellectuals' because if they admitted they didn't know what the fuck the girl was talking about they would be labeled 'not with it' if you sell a phone you show what the phone does

  • if you had seen the mona lisa, you would have recognized the eeri land scape in the background.

  • like I said 'intellectuals' love this stuff, eat it up little beret wearing cigar puffing stuffed shirt, throw your dollars at a phone that will be obsolete in a year

And it's not the mona lisa background unless da Vinci decided to come back from the dead, paint over the roads, lighten up the sky to a 'clear day in florida'. And Mona had eyebrows til some idiot scrubbed them off, so this girl is not 'like the mona lisa' and I still wouldn't chuck 300 bucks to own it if she was

  • this ad is way smarter than you're giving it credit. The imagery is so fantastic--like from a dream. it is perfect for the current economic situation.

  • .......right so if anyone wants to know u1b2 is a plant from Sprint.

What's good for the economy is not to watch ethereal hairless albino and pay $300 for a phone. When you could buy a planner, a basic cell, have two brain cells dedicated to your schedule and have $200 left to pay off your interest only mortgage or your outlandish credit card debt (which by the way HELPS the economy). It's a fad and we who do not follow fads have more money.

  • the girl more than the background . Yes both her and the landscape are reminiscent of the Mona Lisa. Very good call.

  • I think its more Sandro Botticelli. Google his art work. You will notice the faces of the females in his pantings and the landscapes are similar.

  • i love these commercials for their creepyness

and she is hot..even hotter because they make her look creepy

    lol i'm not well

  • WHAT IS THIS SONG

  • Im amazed at how much people hate these commercials. I thought they were a bit pretentious but the chick is very hot and I like the mellow vibe. But I like these commercials now that I see everyone talking about how creepy and weird they are and what an albino freak the girl is. I realize Im weird and creepy just like these commercials. I like it that way.

  • wierd ass commercial but that song is awesome, does anyone know it?

  • this is the worlds stupidest commercial

  • anyone know the song, its actually cool
