Appealing to kids doesn't even make sense to me. The idea of creating bizarre creatures and actually seeing them move realistically with all their faults would have made my favorite game list as a kid.
they should make the spore 2 by mixing 2005 spore version and final game to get every realistic movement,attack and interaction with objects and other creatures but with better graphic.they should also make,molecular stage(optional,if the player wants to make the cell out of molecules or start with cell stage and bring it on the planet with meteor),aqua stage,city stage and original spore creatures.they should make cell stage by mixing 05 and 08,creature by 05,tribe 05,civilization and space 08
I wonder what the reaction would be if I emailed this to one of the maxis staff members with a long description about how much better this is than kindergarten '08 and link them to the 2005 spore petition along with a few comments from this video.Should I do that?XP

Nor do I blame Maxis (at least not completely, they could have refused to turn it kiddish, or at least say they will continue this and label it as Spore 2) But I blame EA, who just want to pocket as much cash fucking POSSIBLE, I don't think they realize that they would have made a TON of more money from the old spore rather than new spore. They simply chose new Spore over old, because of a lot more possibilities of Expansions (eg. Galactic adv etc.)
i like the graphics from the new spore but i want everything else from this spore or perhaps i do want these graphics :P idk new spore grew on me i guess but this seems so much more in depth and freedom like and look at the animation to! WAHHHHHHH
EA realy has fucked up this game hasn't it? the old models look so much better and act so much better but with this new one its just childish. this was suposed to be the best game ever but EA has done it again...
I like the flying better than the gliding... I'm really disapointed, the whole idea of flying in this game, is much more interesting, well, it is to me.

Spore right now is a decent game, but it's not really 'sandbox' like they promised us. We can't put whatever we want on our creature because then it won't be able to function as well, and we can't just explore the world at our own pace. We have goals set out for us to achieve, there's not much to create on your own. It's not really like you're creating your own story, more like you're just doing whatever the game says to do. There's no freedom, really.
This actually reminds me of Conker's Bad Fur Day. BFD was delayed for quiet a long time because Rare couldn't decide whether to make the game a more adult game or a more kid's game. Had they not chosen the adult content, Conker would have faded into the past. Now, it's one of the craziest games we have seen to date because it's damn entertaining. EA, however, chose the kid's game. Now, we will see it fade away into being another shitty game instead of its true potential.

Its a lot more realistic. (with animals everywhere in herds instead of just at the nest etc.) TRIBAL: When you build things they get excited and such. They experiment with things you put down. SPACE: Build Underwater cities (you can't do that n 2008 can you?) and city stage and etc COPY PASTE FOR OLD SPORE

My guess is because they were scared people could make "broken" creatures. They could make a creature that could trip over it's own legs, or not be as great a fighter as other creatures, WHICH IS THE FUN OF THE GAME. I seriously want to cry when I watch the 05 video. I feel so sad over the fact that we could have had this amazing, wildlifelike game we could be playing for ever and ever, and instead we got this simple, basic, "nothing new" piece of junk. I hate Spore. It only brings bad memories.

i dont think it was maxis' fault. EA probably told them they wanted a younger target audience. so they dramatically lowered the complexity and
depth. and now it's a pretty good game but it could have been the best game ever. they need to make a spore 2
