  • J. D. is boss of the banjo dept.

  • @RonsVideoKeepers Two thumbs up to you, RonsVideoKeepers, for that statement! lol! YES! I agree!

  • I love JD!! Hes a great father and husband as well...he will soon be my father-in-law and I feel so blessed to be a part of his family!

  • @rjoyce72 WOW!! You are so very blessed!!! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I wore out every cassette I had w/ JD on it, from playing along on my five string Gibson Mastertone. He has been my "mentor" since I first started playing back in 1983. Sadly, I had to sell my beloved banjo last December, but when I can afford to buy another one, I will also be buying up more of JD's music, lol! God Bless!

  • awesomeeeeee JD is a very nice person

  • Don't hate me or screw me KAT..

    But I dont know him.

But you look really exiting about him..

So i guess it was a great day for you to meet him..

  • Yes, Andy...He has always been one of my banjo pickin' HERO's! When I first started playing the five string, back in 1983...I would listen to recordings of him for HOURS AND HOURS....THOUSANDS of times....and I'd keep playing...practicing...playing...practicing.

To me, it was like meeting a ROCK star! J.D. Crowe is a most accomplished and awarded artist in the Bluegrass world.

I was so excited, I was nearly breathless! Pant pant pant! LOL! (Let me tell ya, he was HOT in his day!) Meow!

  • Looks like you had a lot of fun.

  • Oh yes! More fun than I've had in a very very long time! I felt so blessed to meet this man, and to see him and his band perform in person! He has been a banjo inspiration to me since I first started playing, back in 1983. Thanks for coming by, TruckerGeorge! :D

  • How cool was tHat?

  • WAY cool, Doc! I wish I'd had a beer or two before I met him...only because I felt so "shy", and I never even gave him a hug! Nor did I get a good pic of him and I together...I was just too in awe! He is a lovely, dear man!

  • Great meet...I could see your very excited...5*

  • Bluegrass people are so friendly and approachable. They welcome meeting you, and yes, this was a real thrill for me!

Do you like bluegrass music, too, JONTEJOY?

  • I think its pretty good..:)
