The entire scenario is not shown here, it is totally possible (and probable) that the tiger caught the croc completely ofguard from the flanks or from behind.

I actually watched the programme in question, the croc was 14 feet long & the tigeress killed it stone dead. Estimates on length of the croc that are being banded about aren't including the tail, ( strange, but true) & 14 foot is a very good size for a croc of any species. The one in the video is neither saltwater or mile, it is known in India as a mugger croc & they get to a good size.

Actually, the internet is where I found this information. Check the wikipedia page for Saltwater Crocodile. As you can see in this video, a tiger can very much be a threat to an ADULT saltwater crocodile. It was chasing a zebra and the zebra jump into the luangwa river and managed to swim across but the Lion was caught in the middle by the croc. The camera was shaking and water was splashing then minutes later the croc swam with the lion in its mouth.

Actually, the internet is where I found this information. Check the wikipedia page for Saltwater Crocodile. As you can see in this video, a tiger can very much be a threat to an ADULT saltwater crocodile. Perhaps a 20 foot gargantuan, like all of you seem to like to think takes up 90% of the species (dumbasses...), wouldn't be threatened by a tiger. But any NORMAL sized croc, adult or not, is.

At their top sizes they are impervious to rifles shots some a tiger bite is no threat. with a bite force up to four or m ore times that of a tiger the same can not be said of a croc biting a tiger. A 700-800 pound Tiger (and that is larger then most, average is 650) lacks the power to tangle or man handle an adult Saltwater or Nile croc and being in or out of water has no baring on the matter. As for this video posted, small crocs have lots of natural predators including crocs themselves.

What these people are saying isn't information, what these people are posting are vast overstatements of the actual population of saltwater crocs that reach over 18 feet, which is very small.
Because I'm NOT an expert on this subject, I bothered to do a quick internet search and found that I was right. You can tell me I'm wrong all you like, but until you all get your own "crocodile expert" homepages, I'm going to believe the rest of the internet over you.

We aren't arguing over whether the largest specimens of the species are in danger from tigers, we're arguing whether average adult crocs are potentially threatened by them. You haven't listed a proven fact yet. You are basing all of your claims on the top size of the species (which less than 10% of the species ever attain) and assuming that all adult crocs are that big. And they're not.

In case you weren't aware, paleontologists study fossils. Ancient, buried pieces of animals and plants. I highly doubt he's done any such studies in such a field except perhaps as a hobby.

I've seen a tiger go into a lake full of crocs and take a deer from a crocs, he drags the deer away and no crocs tries anything. Crocs are great ambush predators but not great fighters.

I'm pretty sure a large male Saltwater Crocodile would kill a Tiger in deep water.
On land, the crocodile would most likely be killed.

Muggers have more "armour" than slatwater crocs, they're also more mobile on land, they can travel miles overland to find a new waterhole.
You'll never a tiger in deep water, they hunt the shallows, in Bengal they share the sunderbans with salt water crocs.

This is true! I watch a docu some years ago in witch a lioness was killed by a Large crocodile. It was chasing a zebra and the zebra jump into the luangwa river and managed to swim across but the Lion was caught in the middle by the croc. The camera was shaking and water was splashing then minutes later the croc swam with the lion in its mouth.
