She sounded as if she had a speech impediment at times. They should have given her less dialogue.

I agree her accent was simply awful! Instead of getting better, the accent got worse by the end of the series. She ended up sounding like a gangster moll of the 30's or 40's. No American I know sounds like that! It must have been distracting for the other actors. Thank goodness Richard Armitage was around to save the scenes they shared.

@helaughslikemuttley I'm an American and I totally agree with your comment. I had a very hard time focusing on the scenes; due to her bad accent. (Mind you I wasn't expecting much, but nothing that awful). But the other actors, in the series, were good enough to save the scenes or I wouldn't have bothered watching Series 8.
