  • ofcourse he is a dictator the country has oil, lol...

  • @Packerd01 Chavez is the president for his people, USA is owner of Venezuela?, they get into their affairs and not interfere in the sovereignty of other countries, the world hate republicans people without tolerance and brain like Bush , Palin.

  • Clearly many people viewing this video know that Hugo Chavez is the democratically elected President of Venezuela. Right wing scum around the world hate democracy, freedom and justice. VIVA CHAVEZ.

  • So Venezuelas elected president is a dictator? So would this make Obama and bush and all our past presidents dictators?

  • fuck fox! dictator? yeah sure, heres some more yankee propoganda, oepn up for manifest destiny you sick white fuckers!

  • Is Glenn Beck talking about propaganda?

Karl Rove is a machiavellian monster that has no place talking about democracy. No space to substantiate here - but I'd be happy to.

  • Beck is more of a dictator than chavez

  • I love how Glenn Beck claims to be an independent and also claims he's not a Bush supporter, yet he brings Karl Rove on to his show to discuss Obama's "friendship" with Venezuelan "dictator" Hugo Chavez. Deceit of the highest order.

  • Any of you Hugo Chavez supporters should talk to Venezuelans and hear their opinion on Chavez. They HATE him

  • @thestevester94

Is that why he is constantly elected in landslides?

    Moron!

  • @MrReco12 You actually thought those elections are fair?

    You are the moron.

  • @thestevester94

Well their were international observers, and yes you are moron. Screaming "Dictator" when Chavez defeats the fascists in free and fair elections.

  • @MrReco12 What ever makes you sleep at night.

  • Oh, yeah. good call every O supporter. We now have 60% of our private sector in the hands of the governent. We arent a dictatorship now huh? Whenever the government is in charge things just happen, and you better like it or else.!

  • @rjm4jmc And i'm sure you'll be calling me a : Sexist, Racist, Bigot, Homophoba, Masoginistic, etc.

  • You tell the truth. Your comment's are right on the mark.It is impossible to reason with liberal's. They suffer from a mental illness, LIBERALISM!

  • I bet these idiots sleep with a picture Pinochet under their pillow.

  • He saved Chile from Allende who was a communist who was getting ready to fully impose a marxist dictatorship upon the Chilean's when General Pinochet stepped in. Chile is a prosperous democracy today because of Pinochet even though Allende was duly elected. We have the same situation in USA where evil Marxist Obama was duly elected and after after getting in office showed he wasn't a democrat but a naked Marxist in office illegally! He is close to imposing brutal tyranny. I am for coup de tat!

  • @wconeal1 Allende was 100 times the human being Pinochet ever was, when the army bombed presidential palace he stayed to the end, when the Authorities came for Pinochet he hid behind thatcher.

What has Obama done that makes him a Marxist, I tell you now NOTHING!. I find it offensive as a Marxist that you call him one.

Bring on your Coup, but remember the left will be there.

    See you at the barricades.

  • @robertrulebirtannia

    I agree with you!

  • @wconeal1

That lie about Allende turning Chilie into a "Marxist dictatorship" was debunked by your very own CIA. PInochet increased poverty from 20%(1970) to 45%(1989)!

    What a saviour!

PInochet also murdered children and preganat women!

    What a heroic savior!

    Idiot!

  • i would vote for Chaves to be Prime Minister of Great Britain. why is everyone on american TV so scared?

  • I guess you are a mindless zombie like the stupid democtat's who need someone to tell them what to d and provide everything for them. That is called slavery stupid!

  • Venezuela is fucked, there is a major energy crisis there now and Chavez popularity is plummeting. Cities are in darkness, drought and the fact that the country is run by a madman will see it in ruins very soon.

  • 1 Chavez is democratically elected. ipso facto he is not a 'dictator'.

2 "Our neighbourhood"= the 50 states. fuck the monroe doctrine.

3 "trying to get leftist enemies... elected[in other SA countties]" they can damn well elect whoever the fuck they like this is democracy.

4 "ive shaken hands with alot of objectionable people" yeah you have.

5 "It was the progressives that did it" operation condor, look it up. pinochet 1973. videla 1976. beck boston and rove. the worst three men in america?

  • America doesn't like Chavez because Chavez kicked out the big america oil companies (bush's best friend) and socialized them there for decreasing the poverty rate from 80% to under 30%. he Uncensored the media (Before he was elected it was censored)

Labeling every enemy economy in the world as dictatorship only gets you so far.

(the USA has installed more foreign dictators than anyone else in the world)

Glenn Beck isn't even classified as news by an official fox news report. He is in opinions

  • Fox suck!, Chavez won all his eleccions for the people votes , i can say the same about Bush! Never forget his firt eleccion as President

  • @gambito0025 yeah. there could never be any voter fraud with guys armed with AK47's at the booths. The people of venesuela just heroiclly voeted themselves into slavery.

  • @rjm4jmc Morron, you should learn something about the elections in Venezuela, the most technological and approved by former presidents Carter and other world leaders, most of the people support Chavez almost 70%, but you can still believe in the Fox News' PROPAGANADA

  • lol since when any democratically elected president, like Chavez, are considered dictators!?

BTW the president of Colombia has very well known relations with Narcotrafficking groups and with the paramilitary

  • i wanna know how the hell in chavez a dictator

  • im not going to attack you

just please watch this video and tell me what you think

    Youtube the Caracas Nine

  • i agree. but obama did well.... i mean he had to be diplomatic

  • How to know ,, If an offer is given without resistance there is no offense. When a test of resistance is applied to the offer and direct force is applied, then a dictatorship is born. be warned !!

  • hugo chavez won with a clear majority in the presidential elections....

dosdnt that -not make him a dictator?

  • you said man , I support your comment

  • Chavez is a democrat... these American pigs who support neo-liberalism for latin america regardless of the democratic will of its people are the real 'dictators'.

  • You Americans are imperialistc pigs!!

  • You guys have imperialistic pigs? In the US we eat a healthy diet of bacon and ham keeping the pig population under control. If you guys are being invaded by pigs you should write your leader and have them ask us for help. We are all about giving money to half the world as we take out loans from china.

  • 9/11 1973 what happen that year?

so does Latin America not have every reason to hate USA?

  • For those who don't know (I assume that you do know) that was the year when Nixon and Kissenger overthrew the democratically-elected president of Chile, Salvador Allende, and put the war criminal Augusto Pinochet in power.

I would say that the people have every reason to hat the U.S. government, but should have no real reason to hate the people of the U.S. That is why Chávez railes against U.S. foreign policy, but also gives discounted heating oil to poor families in the U.S. in winter.

  • additionally, this whole "progressives bad" thing is garbage. It comes out of a right-wing attempt to vilify a name that liberals took when "liberal" was a dirty word. They do this for the same reason they say "fascism is left-wing," that being that it makes it so that people don't have rational discussions about political ideas, but rather concentrate on the names.

Beck and his ilk would never say so much about "progressives" (who were back in the early 1900s) if the name wasn't in vogue today

  • Progressives vilified "liberal" when they disregarded the root of the word. I believe liberals are fascist because they press for more power to the government, not to avoid the discussion.

In fact...it is "right wing" that is most often vilified without a true definition of the term. "left wing" was defined by the ideology of a certain group and everyone that doesn't follow this is a right winger. This puts me in the same category as authoritarians which are as dangerous as progressives.

  • I would agree that language in politics is a complete mess and nine times in ten its use only serves to confuse people.

"Liberal" became vilified under Reagan who constantly talked about "those liberals" who presumably wanted to destroy everything we hold dear (as Reagan was given to hyperbole, whether anyone knew it or not).

I think you meant "fascists are liberals," not "liberals are fascists." Again, it all depends on the chosen definition.

  • If you define fascist as big-government, (historically you would be wrong) most liberals would be fascists. Historically the fascism of Mussolini involved the use of his extra-governmental black shirt paramilitary group to assault leftists and labor organizers during a period of chaos in Italy (the biennio rosso) often at the behest of the owners of factories and large estates. Mussolini then used the political capital he had with the landowners to get himself made Prime Minister.

  • He was able to do that, even though the fascists were a tiny minority in parliament; he dissolved parliament a few years later. You can call that "liberal" if you want to, but the fact that he governed for the benefit of the very elite over the workers, as evidenced by the wages in Italy falling during his entire reign (the only country where that happened in that period) vote against that (say what you will about unions, they very rarely cut wages intentionally for 22 straight years).

  • As far as "left" and "right" are concerned, if we go back to the debates between Thomas Paine and Edmund Burke (a traditional left-right pair), Paine advocated the welfare state and the French Revolution while Burke advocated the monarchy and the continuation of class structures. That's why Mussolini is called "right wing" and "fascism" is considered to be a right-wing phenomenon.

sorry this took so long, but I hope it helps.

  • Not at all, thanks.

  • let me say this VERY CLEARLY so that even Beck, Bolton and Rove can understand it:

    - Chávez is not a dictator, he is a democratically elected president with a huge majority.

    - Chávez does not fund the FARC.

    - throughout history, the U.S. has destabilized the region whenever they "voted the wrong way."

    - the U.S. funds right-wing dictatorships and politicians in the region, so why can't Chávez try to elect allies?

Why anyone takes these people seriously is beyond me.

  • che, where are you from?

  • United States of America (I've lived in several states)

  • the world is tired of the same old white boys only club................wankers

  • Obama has life-long connections with black radicals, arab terrorist groups and the international communist conspiracy.

  • you were talking about the torture methods that's why I said if you don't like it then move. Our whitehouse has housed douche bags since the day Teddy Roosevelt moved in. I do have a problem with the war on drugs, specifically marijuana. Who gave them the authority to decide what plant i can grow or set on fire. As far as gun control goes, I have no problem with them coming to my house to take them from as long as they have no problem with me giving them the ammo first. This is why I watch Beck

  • and stupid people keep saying obama is awesome... people are so dumb...

i have a joke for you...

on obamas inaugeration day... only 4 people were reported not at work...

  • Hey Beck lovers, did you hear about the plane with 3 tons of uncut cocaine that crashed in Mexico that Chavez tried to smuggle in the U.S.A?........Oh wait that was a CIA rendition (That's the nice way of saying kidnapping and torture.) Plane.

  • If you don't like how we do things then move to Canada.

  • I'm in my country AssHole. You leave. And take all of the Sofa Samurais with you like Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Cheney,Podhoretz,Lieberman,Clinton, and Brzezinski.

  • You should listen to Rush Limbaugh instead of listening to the soundbites taken out of context on the news. He tells it like it is.

  • I do, though not as much as in the 90's. Rush became more of and apologist for the Rhino Republicans than a conservative (How many times during W Bush's reign, did you hear "This is great he's totally taken this issue from the Democrats." When in fact all he did was adopt Dems policy). I had noticed this when he took Dole over Buchanan, Not to mention his show promotes globalist mercantilism ,Woodrow Wilsonian foreign policy, and fear mongering to bring a Police State at home.

  • Once again I agree with you on your points (especially your second sentence) but I understand why he does it.

I believe that conservatism and libertarianism are closely linked if not synonymous (I had never heard that Reagan quote in your other comment) which in my mind makes social conservatism oxymoronic. This is somehting taht Rush would disagree with me on, but on the whole I think he has great points and a common sense approach to government policy.

  • It is my opinion that, on the whole, conservatives have given more thought on government's role on society than liberals. While the basic principles seem to be very close among us, there are details that are going to be different due to the fact there are never solutions, only tradeoffs. We tend to argue these differences passionately because they are OUR ideas. While liberals hear an idea and if it sounds good they stand together as a unified front without ever thinking of the consequences

  • or understanding there may be consequences that can't be predicted. This gives them the idea that they are superior because they stand as a unified front against the conservative standpoint where we are divided on the details. Anyway I'm just rambling, but I have enjoyed our discussion.

  • Edit - When I said "While the basic principles seem to be very close among us" us is refering to conservatives. I am horrible about using pronouns incorrectly.

  • Teddy roosevelt? beck, how about some contemporary LA history you dbag. US presidents supported dictatorships in Guatemala for almost 30 years and Nixon helped oust a democratically elected socialist president in chile in favor of Pinochet's dictatorship, just to name two of MANY examples.

  • Actually, Beck has stated numerous times that the problems in our whitehouse started with Teddy Roosevelt and each president after that has gotten more and more progressive. I don't know the order of presidents in it's exact order but I know that Nixon was after Teddy so therefore he would be covered in that statement. So get your facts right douche bag

  • who gives a shit? beck's a cock and so are you

  • wow, good response, I bet that took a lot of thought and research to put together. I will assume that since name calling was all you were able to do that you don't really have a good response since I just made you look like a dumb ass.

  • well you can think that if you want. name calling was all I felt like doing. I dont have the time or interest to leave back and forth paragraph-length comments on a Beck video I happened accross. Youre obviously good at it though. (no sarcasm intended). I'll leave it to the pros.

  • Yeah, that move to another country thing was a really good one, that's not played out. I guess you like our Government shipping in narcotics to this country. Then putting people in jail who use or sell them, not to mention the various laws they pass under the guise of the "War on Drugs" examples being gun restrictions, forfeiture laws, and rubber stamped search warrants. Now go back to listening to Beck and pretending your a Patriot, we all know you'll be the first to rat out your fellow man.

  • I agree that the war on drugs is not only a failure, but a major individual right violation. It is tragic that there is no room for violent criminals due to the cells taken up by people imprisoned for victimless crimes.

I feel that the democrats are the biggest danger to our individual liberty because they are developing a nanny nation where the government takes on the role of caretaker of the people. Look at the big picture. Bad laws can be changed. Entitlements last till the end.

  • Bush was the one who tripled the size of the BATF, gave us Prescription drug entitlements,no Child Left Behind, created DHS, and left our Borders Wide Open to create a class of people who feel entitled to Government hand outs. If you think it's just Democrats that are the problem you are greatly mistaken. Republicans and Democrats are basically the same Demonic being with two heads.

  • I agree with you completely. It appears we simply disagree on who is the lesser of the two evils.

  • I believe what Lew Rockwell has said, on the lesser of two evil, it's still voting for evil. If you haven't heard of him, check out his web site I think you might like it. Take care.

  • Thanks for sharing. I have enjoyed the few articles I've read so far. Do you believe that the Libertarian party will become the second party in place of the republican party or should the republican party be revamped to libertarian principles?

  • I don't believe that the Libertarians will become a 2nd party. One of the reasons that I believe the Republicans have been floundering is because it use to be composed of Anti Stateists (At least in Rhetoric) and now it is basically the same as the Dems. So yes, I do believe they should become more Libertarian if they want some legitimacy.

"If you analyze it I believe the very heart and soul of conservatism is libertarianism..." ~ Ronald Reagan

  • Also I'm glad you like it I may not be in agreement a 100% of the time with them. But the writers do get you to think, with out it being a Left/Right issue. More of a State/Anti State issue.

  • ok we all know that Chavez is a Jackass, but it's not going to help us at all if the president just gives him the cold shoulder. Chavez is a democratically elected president, even if he is a jackass.

What Obama is doing is changing how the would sees the USA, More friendly and understanding we become, more the other nations will fallow the US. Less will people defend contrary that just stiff the US, and start seeing them as they are, contrys that need to be dealt with.

    whats wrong with that?

  • "Chavez is a democratically elected president, even if he is a jackass.

He's a dictator, he wasn't "elected". The voting in that country is a joke. People who voted against him are now being persecuted.

  • He was elected, and he is a dictator. That shit dose happen.

But if we don't make the first move, nobody will, and everyone gets hurt.

  • He WAS elected. And the people keep voting for him and the legislations to keep him in power. Nobody has yet shown proof of any kind of voter fraud.

The fact that we disagree with 95% of what he says and does does not make him a dictator.

  • Actually fraud has taken place because Obama has yet to show a legitimate birth certificate. The constitution mandates to be eligible for president you must be a natural born citizen. If he can prove he was born on American soil (either in america or on a military/government building abroad) than he is not president by order of the constitution. Until that proof has been disclosed he is not my president and I will addres him as Mr. Obama

  • Uh, first of all, you're an idiot because I was talking about Hugo Chavez, the democratically elected president of Venezuela.

Second, you are a bigger idiot for buying into the "fake birth certificate" story that sore losers always bring up to discredit our current president.

If the document he presented was good enough for journalists, the health dept of Hawaii, and the RNC, then it should be good enough for the rest of us. If you believe it is a fake, then that's YOUR problem.

  • oh sorry chavez and Obama have so much in common that I couldn't tell who you were talking about. Thanks for playing right into that, you progressive ultra liberals are so easy to predict. However, Obama has not presented his birth certificate to anyone he has his lawyers fighting in court to keep from having to submit it, but nice try.

  • Nice try, but you're still an idiot.

For believing some fringe lunatics (who only got to see a scan on the internet) over the journalists and govt officials who actually held the document in their hands.

    Obama won. Get over it.

  • If the government has seen it than why is there currently a court case against Obama to force him to show those documents to the government. The problem is the constitution has all these requirements to be president but it doesn't say who has the authority to ensure those requirements are met. So Obama is able to dodge it through loop holes do some research before you call me an idiot, otherwise in the end you will look like the idiot

  • Someone's actually suing?!? That would be proof enough for me...IF I WERE AN IDIOT!!

For God's sake, anybody can file a lawsuit, but only an idiot would have it dismissed for lack of standing.

Do you really believe that hundreds of journalists and govt officials who actually saw the document have it wrong, while some anti-Semite lunatic who has NEVER seen that document in person has it write?

Only an idiot would buy the lunatic's conspiracy theory.

  • When that idiot is the former states attorney of PA (He's a democrat too by the way) I would say he has a little more credibility than just some crazy lunatic. You see sir I don't think that the government officials would get it wrong. I assure you CNN wouldn't tell you the document was fake whether they knew it was fake or not. Let's face the majority of media is far left and they want/wanted Obama in the whitehouse.

  • OH NOOO!! ITS A VAST LEFT-WING CONSPIRACY!!

So you follow Philip J Berg? Now I know you ARE an idiot.

This is the same guy who sued GWBush, claiming the WTC was demolished by explosives and that the CIA forced the FDNY to keep quiet, & that the pentagon was hit by a missile instead of a passenger plane.

A federal court dismissed his claim as frivolous and not worthy of discussion, & that is just one of the many rejections to this idiotic claim.

Does that sound like a reasonable man to you?

  • I remember all the libs crying bush is the devil. ahh The gratification for the return payback for the 8 years.

  • I don't recall ANYONE calling him the devil, except a latin american country's president.

I do remember everyone calling him the worst president ever, which he is.

  • talk to me when Obama invades a country for kicks and giggles (or the enrichment of his friends), doesn't make any effort to regulate the financial markets (and suffers the corresponding crash), shreds the constitution so he can make the U.S. that much closer to a police state and lets the corporations not only run Washington but their own policing....

We didn't call Bush names because he was a dumb Republican, we called him names because he actually did things that wrecked the country.

  • Iraq was invaded for treaty violations. Not "kicks and giggles"

Regulations and pressure from liberal congressmen on banks to make loans to people that couldn't afford them CAUSED the market crises.

The US constitution was shredded by a progressive over 60 years ago and has been abused by both parties ever since.

You all called Bush names because he was a poor speaker and because liberals find it much easier to win a discussion by making personal attacks, rather than argue ideology.

  • What did these two nut-jobs actually accomplish, foreign policy wise? They only made matters worse by threatening and demanding the rest of the world go along with our misguided attempts to find those damned WMDs. Did our relations with ANY country actually improve while these two clowns were around?

Now, they're tying to give advice on foreign policy?

  • obama scares the living crap out of me. as a man who lives in israel and hears ahmedinajad's threats everyday, i have to tell you that we in israel feel betrayed by this new administration. they are putting the heat on us while talking with tyrans and dictators who are using the intl. judicial system in a cynical way against the west. and obama is playing into their hands.

  • Maybe, if you would fix your problems with the palestinian people you wouldn't be despised as you currently are.

  • maybe, if you knew anything about our problems with the palestinians you would have turned that question to them.

they were offered the ENTIRE area and in return all they had to do was to stop fighting. they refused, and now we are where we are.

  • So, instead of accepting everything they were asking for, they decided to keep on fighting.

Suuuure. We all know that neither side wants to give an inch. Until they realize that BOTH sides will have to make concessions, that is when you will start to make peace.

  • take some history lessons mate... ehud barak (then the prime minister, now, defence minister) made the offer. the point is that there is one more thing that they want, and this is where they will have to back down - they want israel to stop being a jewish country, and instead take millions of palestinians inside, and be another muslim country. they call it the reurn right.

some demands we simply can't accept.

  • Don't they just want to go back from where they were displaced? Didn't the land that is now Israel belong to palestinians? Why is it that they can't go back?

  • it's more complicated then just this.

displacements happened on both sides. the undisputed historical fact is that there were no arabs in the land of israel before 1916. ergo - no palestinians - ergo - nobody could have been displaced. palestinians came here to counter the waves of jews comming to the land. the arabs have a plan called "big syria (lit)", which includes israel, jordan lebanon and syria under syrian-muslim control.

we are simply in their way, so they spread propoganda. check it.

  • Of course I agree that it is VERY complicated and that there were displacements from both sides.

But, two wrongs do not make a right. I don't think its fair that Israel continues to settle areas in defiance of international laws. That issue has to be addressed as well.

There are many, many issues that I'm sure you know better than I do. But I think you can agree that both sides are NOT doing the best they can to fix this situation.

  • correct. but it is much more complexed than making anything right. there is no right and wrong in the middle east, there are interests and rules. the palestinian problem will not be solved because it isn't an israeli problem - it is an arab - palestinian problem. or to be more specific - the palestinians in the west bank are (former) jordainian citizens, and the ones in gaza are former egyptians. these 2 states will have to deal with the problem too. and, of course, iran. who pulls the strings.

  • You make it sound as if Israel has nothing to do with it, and that they are stuck in the middle. They are part of the problem as well. Their heavy handed reactions & tactics to the attacks by Palestinians only makes matters worse, and turns the rest of us against it. And what about those settlements?

  • I fear the day where we no longer give 100% support to Israel.

  • thanks for the support.

god knows we need every little bit of it.

  • eldrad: "kinda dumb," Is that the opposite of "kinda smart?" If you're going to question someone else's intelligence, you should make absolutely sure your criticism isn't laced with stupidity. Only someone who is dumb would do that.

  • Rove belongs behind bars and, poor mad dog, well, he should really be on meds.

  • These dudes are the most paranoid Mfer on the fucking net!!!!

  • Glenn Beck dude you are working against your country..... plus you are kinda dumb... sorry i've wanted to say that for a while....

  • how is he working against his country?

    how is he dumb?

and is there anything to back up ur argument?

  • I like the way Republicans are criticizing Obama's diplomacy, when their idea of diplomacy is to just not have it at all. It's like watching a bunch of angry ten year olds trying make teacher look stupid.

  • All of you who support this anti-diplomacy movement by Fox news are complete morons, Glenn Beck is more unamerican then I am and I am Canadian, pushing for a seccession by Texas, you don't get any more anti-american than that. This message of don't talk to these dictators is will not create a better world. What have you been taught since you were a child? Solve your problems and disagreements with words not violence, LISTEN TO YOU MOTHERS!

  • Wow this people think that .all latinos are ignorant wake up .

  • I like people that say "read a book", as if reading something that spews one point of view is going to open up anyone's mind. I use common sense. The day that Americans are are killing themselves to reach the shores of Cuba or dying in the dessert trying to get to Mexico, is the day I will truly say "America is at fault and we are evil". In my many travels, I've come to one conclusion about Americans: We are our biggest critics.

  • You're so unaware of America's foreign policy. America has place dictators in place. Saddam Hussein was one, but he was "our" dictator and so long he is our dictator, he is all right. The same hypocritical approach is taken toward China, China is communist, but we don't care and so our president shake hands with them regardless of human right abuses. Chavez of course is NOT our dictator, so we hate him and it's not okay to shake hands with that bastard, right? Wake up man.

  • I don't understand your argument. "Saddam Hussein is 'our' dictator". Well, I'm willing to concede we put him in power. Then he got drunk with power and we took him out. Is Kim Jong Il our dictator? Is that why we're leaving him in Power? I don't hate Chavez and I'm willing to bet most people don't have an opinion about Chavez either way. That's how little Chavez means to Americans. He sure does express his hatred to us though. What am I supposed to wake up to?

  • If I (or you) were Chavez, you would be mad as hell as well. You probably don't know for example, that our government spent about 10 million dollars in 2002 trying to throw Chavez from power. This is not respecting the sovereignty of other countries. We would not want other countries to interfere with the politics of our nation. USA is sort of used to do these kinds of things. Did you know that this country through Kissinger masterminded the assassination of Chilean president?

  • What are your sources? Books, internet? You know there have been books and internet reports written about the America's moon landing being not being real either. Do you know for sure? Do you have inside info? Where you there? I only know human behavior. If Chavez believed we tried to kill him, he would have cut all ties with us. He would go into hiding (like Osama Bin Laden). Instead, he's doing the exact opposite. More, like a baby that doesn't get his way

  • My sources? I would say all of the above. But there is a documentary produced by a USA reporter, covering the coup in Venezuela. I have the DVD version but I checked at youtube to see if they published pieces of it. Well, you can view it. Type "The Revolution Will Not Be Televised " and you can watch it in parts. Another documentary that I highly recommend you is The Trials of Henry Kissinger and you'll get an insight into the politics of our beloved nation. Peace

  • Nice doc. "(Venezuela is)a country of immense oil wealth and deep inequalities". Right. "Free market policies being imposed on Venezuela by Washington"? Free market imposes it's own policies. A woman in Chavez's office says the CIA planned the coup and they have the plans. Well, where are they? The film portrays him as a self-righteous saviour. Another review of the film on IMDB calls him Eva Peron-like. True. Good leaders fix their own country before chastising other countries.

  • I don't expect you to understand, at least not now. Prejudice is deeply seated in the human psyche, but at least I wanted to be exposed to other views. You seem to believe that this country has the right to dictate what's right and what's wrong outside of its confines. And on top of that, you don't seem to understand your own country. Chavez loves his people and the majority elected him freely. Let the people decide, just as we as nation have the right to our own course of direction.

  • Well, if you really feel that way then your prejudice or just don't understand the United States. The US does not dictate policy outside of the country because it's impossible. How the US thinks and how the rest of the world thinks is completely different. The Kissinger movie shows evidence of alleged war crimes. Why wasn't he brought up on charges? Why did his boss (Nixon), resign over illegal dealings? America (though not perfect) polices itself better than other nations.

  • notice the left opens debate by calling people names and then calling books that advocate evil accurate because its spread around college campuses where flower power children thinks its still 1968

  • "Advocate evil"...hahahhaha...yes yes... if be advocating evil you mean documenting the brutal manner in which the U.S exploited Latin America...then yes your right....

don't worry one day when you go to college you'll understand for yourself that Fox News isn't actually news...its Fan Fantasy.....LMAO....

  • Ha...the book is actually accurate and used around College Campuses to expose the corrupt manner in which the U.S exploited Latin America...fu-- all three of these NeoCon Douche Bags.....Bush was a closer to being a Dictator than Chavez, Morales, or Ortega...

  • if bush was a dictator he'd still be in power you tool

  • We'll lucky for us he could only steal 2 elections....

  • steal 2 elections? lmao thanks for proving my point tool. you gave me a bunch of hate spew over the US and then even took a hit at fox news. lol wow your a living stereotype of the left. classic tool. epic fail.

  • They are right, the photo did work as propaganda. For Glenn Beck and friends.

  • i'm from southamerica, pinochet was a dictator NOT Hugo Chavez, he was ELECTED

change the title of the video mannn

    Love and peace

  • Hitler was elected at one point too.

  • do you know before we invaded iraq saddam was elected in a landlslide, because you were bullied into voting for him.

  • odio odio y mas odio..

  • you know, one of the last presidents to show this kind of weekness (kennedy) to the enemy(stalin) had pretty much started the cold war.kennedys intentions in the meeting with stalin were the same;showing a kind side of america and maybe they will change there attiyudes to possitive.that was an extremely stupid move on obamas part and they were right,he doesnt know his history as he should or he would know better.we are the strong country that we are for a reason ,we show no fear.

  • and thus boomer shows us he'd vote for a democrat even as a failure and proves my argument right. thus, he is part of the problem w/ bad politicians getting elected.

  • Bolton was the one who got the least cooperation from other nations at the UN than any other in history of that organization...hum wonder why. "shake their hand and walk away", in other words snub them, make them feel small and they are just going to respect the hell out of you right? What a douche.

  • the UN hated him from the get-go and the UN has always hated and blame the US since the USSR collapsed. their appoval rating is horrible among the US and some of the world and they've never resolved anything, just send angry letters. he's douche for pointing out their failures? or is because he's a republican and you hate reps so much? hell the UN got caught in the oil for food scandal. in other words the UN like your argument=epic fail

  • I just hate republicans, no matter who they are.

  • now thats not nice lol.. Whats the difference between Republicans and Democrats now? both want war, both enjoyed spending tax payer money at ungodly rates.. From what I've seen in the past 7 months there isn't a whole lot of a difference.. and if you think for one second these massive budget requests Obama seeks and Bush got aren't going to affect you negativily then your obviously not doing research on the whiplash effects that are happening even now with state governments.. (Taxes going up!)

  • Ok, I don't hate all Republicans, in fact there are a few representative in Congress I admire. But I do hate what is happening to this country over the fear that we are all being deliberately screwed. And I also hate all this bullshit the right wing nut cases are putting out there that we should all come together and Revolt against our government. This isn't 1776 and it's not a Monarchy it's a Democratic/Republic!!

  • I remember the same thing with Bush though.. Its hard to imagine young adults climbing buildings and getting arrested in Portland because of their Protesting towards Bush's Bank Bailouts. and the Anti-war signs everywhere and protests to the war when bush was in office He even had a SHOE thrown at him lmao.. It does go both ways.. Liberal News outlets bashing bush left and right open air because of his policies... same things going on now.. Now the Rights on Offense and the Left is on Defense...

  • I would say that's true up to a point. Bush got a pass for a long time in the media. Not so with Obama. Obama hasn't started two wars, eliminated Posse Comitatus, or put in warrentless wire tapping, sanctioned torture and the myriad of horrific legislation and signing statements. Yet Fox News and the right wing radio are accusing him of Fascism and whipping up huge numbers of people into revolting against the government. That's going too far.

  • I read Policies he constructed when he was running for President.. I know for a fact they wont work.. Its impossible.. Its Extreemly expensive to you and I not just in Tax form but the Regulations he's putting on Emission based power plants (Coal) all that reduced power creation makes you spend more for your Electric bill.. (Supply and Demand) insane amounts more.. I know power and I know what it would take to go green in just California alone! TRILLIONS! haha I did research before voting.. =)

  • i did too and didn't vote for him, i was hoping he'd prove me wrong but he's been failing me so far. the sad thing is that it'll take time until the majority weak up. granted he's already lost popularity in under 100 days. just look at Boomer1949 you call him out on being all about 1 party and he replies with the usual bush hatred and fox news bashing from the left that isn't going to get us anywhere

  • exactly.. its a serious failure by politicians from BOTH sides.. As well as do I wish he'll prove me wrong but so far... no go.. =( thanks for the comments finaly someone who thinks outside the tin foil box haha =P

  • why?

  • Right now I'm pretty pissed off at the right wing of the Republican Party. They are using people's fear and anger to gain back votes and seats in the next election. They are playing with fire here and don't give a shit. It's not for the love of country that all this propaganda is going on. hell I just got a robo call about Tea Parties for Christ Sake!! Where did the grassroots get that kind of money in a recession?!!

  • the tea parties are demonstrations not revolutions, we've watched 2 presidents from 2 parties run up the defecit and spend tax payer money on prok barrel projects. your dismissing them because they make obama look bad. its not about party its about stopping wasteful spending no matter whos in the white house. btw grassroots gets money by making those calls and getting donations nimwit, why dont you focus on asking why were doubling the budget in a recession?

  • They are not grassroots asking for money. It takes boo-coo money to do robo calling. Perhaps for you, it is all about pork and deficit. But that's not why they were organized by the Republican party and Fox News...it's for the mid term elections. What they didn't expect was the blow back from the wing nuts that are now out there calling for an armed revolt.

  • yes they were organized by the republican party so much that the republicans got booed during the tea parties and fox news didn't set up the parties, they reported on them and thus for being the only ones who did they got a boost in ratings. you then also reply to our concerns of obama with a bunch of bush hatred talking points. again blaming 1 side will get us nowhere but your drinking the kool aid so much you just spew how great the dems are and how crazy anyone who opposes him is

  • Wow! your are too far gone buddy, sorry. If you are calling the FACTS I've stated about Bush as "talking points", then your obviously beyond reason.

  • there FACTS to you because you hate republicans so much. its single party down the line for you and thus you are part of the problem

  • OMG! I've been having an adult conversation with a KID! 20 yrs old for god sake and already this brainwashed. Game OVer Dude!

  • considering obama won the 18-25 demographic 70%-30% your argument that as a kid im naive is idiotic condering your side won. i see that youve resorted to a personal attack as well and i enjoy how you call your conversation adult while typing "OMG!" what are you a valley girl? give me a break, keep drinking the kool-aid or demand accountability. as you yourself said: game over dude!

  • i should point out that by calling me irrevelant for being a young voter then you are hurting obama. after all obama won their vote as i pointed out. so then since irrevelant voters went for obama then wouldnt that make him look bad? your argument that i'm a "kid" and don't matter=epic fail

  • I'd like a Name of the specific person who shot Panama's President, who shot Allende, and so on.. Name's of these individuals would be alot of help for me to believe all this.. with out the names and ranks of individual soldiers it may as well have been someone in their own Country. I watched Economic Hitman as well.. but thats just one guys account stiring up Drama like the woman in those Consintration camp vids on Youtube.. WHICH gleen proved with HER name to be 100% Untrue.

  • Glenn didnt debunk shit. Look up H.R. 645, he never even mentioned that.

  • i wouldnt bother arguing with these folks, they just call you a liar and then put their hands to their ears as you point out the evidence. and if that fails, they hit you with insults and accuse you of horrible things. thats why i dont bother to get into a comment debate with these moonbats that make excuses for dictators

  • funny how from certain people, that comment could be applied to either party here.

  • I don't have the names you are looking for, but declassified U.S. government documents support what was said by many dissidents at the time of the Allende assassination and the Arbenz coup as well. I would urge you to go to your local library and look it up (I know that sounds like a cop-out, but it's the only way that the question can realistically be settled in this kind of a situation.

  • obama is now in a position to screw America. and that is exactly what hes doing.

  • How is that really bad Glenn??? To shake someones hand and actually meet or talk with them? If we all lived by your rules, there would be no fair trade and no free thinkers. You NeoCons are so insecure...

  • neocons? name calling will get you nowhere, i thought lefties were all about tolerance.

  • Tolerance?! They're only tolerant with things that they believe.

  • right and when you question them they call you some neocon or racist. its funny they call themselves liberals because there's nothing liberal about them. hell us in the conservative/libeterian movment are more liberal then them.

  • Gerald Celente articulated that perfectly yesterday. The liberals are the bigger hypocrites.

Just look at Obama. Continuing the Patriot Act? Expanding wiretapping? Controlling the internet as a medium with the new Cybersecurity Act? Ripping off trillions of dollars from taxpayers and funneling them to international corporations?

Obama supporters simply turn a blind eye.
