The big three has most of their vehicles made outside of the u.s. but the problem is where the profit goes. 90% of the Chevy Chrysler fords profit comes right back to this country. Whereas only 10% of Toyota Honda Lexus etc. profit stays here. That's what hurts the American economy and that's why there was so many layoffs in the automotive industry.

I have passed quite a few toyotas that were pulling campers, the gap between the cab and the bed went from about an inch to around 3-4 inches which means friend that they have excessive frame flex which will lead to a damaged frame. Traded in my 08 silverado for 2010 TUNDRA. Well worth the money for what you get. American auto makers have sold out. They sell disposable cars so you'll by another in few years when the start falling apart. Wish I could say American trucks are better, but I can't. Time will tell who makes the better truck.

Toyota will dominate all the American cars if they allow Toyota to have diesel. U.S wouldn't allow that to happen otherwise they can't make profit off of their diesel trucks. In Asia all their Toyota trucks and pickups are all diesel, it will dominate all just like Nascar, Drag Racing, and even the off road races, Toyota is always on top. I have passed quite a few toyotas that were pulling campers, the gap between the cab and the bed went from about an inch to around 3-4 inches which means friend that they have excessive frame flex which will lead to a damaged frame. And yes these people were using a weight distributing hitch.

@HFCHSvids lets not forget that Toyota, Honda and Nissan employ 10's of thousands americans (if not more) in the manufacturing plants, dealers, sales people, mechanics, logistics, truck drivers and also create a sub-industry supplying parts and stuff. also, they generate sales tax, privledge taxes and income taxes on a corporate level and on a employee level. This is a win-win situation for America. they could always make them in japan and sell in the USA just as easily and more profitable.

@sbdizzle92 Toyota builds damn good cars and trucks and are giving Americans good jobs as well. It really doesn't matter, we have always been getting materials from other parts of the world, we could never keep making cars and trucks if everything about them was made in America. It's not about cost, it's about materials/recourses. Japan has really good ways of doing things like making toyota cars and trucks so why not support them, they are human like us.

Light duty "trucks" are just big cars ,most minivans will tow as much.
Your not even dealing with a true truck until you get in to the 3/4 ,1 ton trucks.
The biggest,baddest Toyota in the world is just a fragile toy next to a HD or a Super Duty.
Hook that rig up to a Cummins or a Duramax and pull it round the ring with that Toyota sitting on top if you want.

Traded in my 08 silverado for 2010 TUNDRA. Well worth the money for what you get. American auto makers have sold out. They sell disposable cars so you'll by another in few years when the start falling apart. Wish I could say American trucks are better, but I can't. Time will tell who makes the better truck.

I have a 1970 F-250 that is better than any truck ANYONE has made in the last 20 years. You will see what I mean in 20 more years. Mine will still be going and this new shit will be turned back into pop cans and detergent containers.. They may be nice now kids but time will not be good to them.
