Next year, 57% of the discretionary budget is earmarked for military spending. The debate surrounding the cost of health care reform could be largely resolved for a fraction of that amount.
Stop Spending $2.7 Billion Per Day on War on war assholes and this will fix some of the Every day the United States spends $2.7 billion on war. That's $2.7 billion tax dollars that we can't spend on health care, education, economic development, energy independence, or caring for our seniors.

During that time government got rid of regulations that put a cost on employer ,cut the budget in half, and cut taxes for all. In the end we had the roaring 20s. Then they did that opposite for the great depression which lasted for more than a decade (more government, printing more money, raising taxes in the rich to 85% of income!, and introduction of government programs).

It's been hard. Medical bills, car note, house note, water, electricity, food..... ETC. I have lost almost everything, but I'm still trying. Right now America is riddled with debate about how to pay for the basic services, like health care, that we all need. Last year alone we spent nearly $1 trillion dollars on wars past and present. Next year, 57% of the discretionary budget is earmarked for military spending. The debate surrounding the cost of health care reform could be largely resolved for a fraction of that amount.

Spendocrats ignore re the fact that we had a huge debt left over from the Fair Deal, New Deal and Great Society programs...just becuase Clinton balanced the budget in 2000, we still had all that debt still to pay off. The Spendocrats have driven up the debt in the last two and a half years. Discretionary spending has skyrocked to 84 percent under this adminstration. We need to cut back on the spending, not raise taxes..
