I want to let you know. I lost my sister a few years ago to breast cancer. She took the time when I was a kid to share music with me. This and Whitebird (It;'s A Beautiful Day) were her favorite songs. I visit you when I want to think of her smile. Thanks.
hi, you played this song amazingly! Do you have any tab for it? I can't find them, just the chords, but I'd like to play Arthur Lee songs the way you do!
Around half of the sources/liners I've seen credit this particular song as co-written by both Lee/Maclean, instead of just Lee. Does anyone here know what's the deal with that?
Your arrangement of "Andmoreagain" is quite ingenious, yet alone outstandingly beautiful. I've never seen a Love composition played with that much accuracy and technical finish. Keep up the good work, for both Arthur Lee and Bryan MacLean would be honored!
Fantastic rendering and arrangement of a great song. Arthur Lee was a hero of my teenage days who seemed to disappear. I was in Amsterdam in 2002 and caught a handbill blowing down the street with my foot, picked it up, and Arthur Lee was playing a concert - that night!. Managed to meet him and buy him a drink after the concert. Thanks for the great performance.
Amazing! I first found this video about 3-4 months ago. Since then, I've watched it probably 25 times. What an amazing version of one of my favorite all-time songs! How about another love or early floyd song?
Hey fella, I'm nearly completely ignorant about Arthur/LOVE music, but a friend forwarded this saying you sound just like them. And, I'm digging the sound very fiercely. Thank you so much for the gorgeous tune!!
thanks (btw, i don't sound like them!). All you need is Love's album "Forever Changes" (their masterpiece) and then check out some of their other stuff too. cheers.
This has to be my favorite versions off this song. This version should be on some sort of tribute. I play this song and sing it, but don't do it justice after hearing this version. And it just an instrumental version. Very nice.
You do a fantastic version. I think this should be on some sort of compilation album or something. I saw this about a year ago and found it again. Just figured out how to write to people. Great version.
yes i did. i'd like to do some kinks. maybe 'Waterloo Sunset' and 'Shangrila', though those are both kind of obvious. i don't really know a lot of their stuff.
this song is so gorgeous....i wonder sometimes where these songs come from. there are 12 notes that everyone plays. but out of the debris of all that comes this. of course, you nail everything
Man that is super. I just learned that song for a band that I have doing all LOVE covers just for kicks. Lovely. Thanks for doing this. If you are ever in Austin, we'd have you play with us... Kindest Regards, Jas
I've been a Love-fan for a long time, and I think you should do all the songs on Forever Changes! I really love your arrangement! It's very, very good!
Yeah, it's incredible. But that album has NO low points. I have to work up some more ForeverChanges at some point (even if only to piss off MrGwangi haha see comment above)
If I had to choose for you, I would say do Maybe the people would be the times etc, Red Telephone, Good Humor man, Old man, Alone Again Or. Now I also think that You Set the scene is Love's bohemian Rhapsody. Try that.
Fabulous playing is it your arrangement as well? Doubly impressed. Kills me to watch it though. I've trashed the tendons in my left arm and no amount of rest fixes it. Don't overplay folks!
I think Arthur would love (pardon the pun) this actually, in fact, I think he would love each one of this guys arrangements, from his baroque to his Beatles.
i love singing the lyrics to this wonderful rendition, that is not an easy song to play either or to sing for that matter, auther lee perfected the turn around style i love it !!!
Fantastic! I think the proof of a great melody shows when it can be translated into a great instrumental as you have done here and as people have done for years with teh Beatles. Even Queens of the Stone Age have had an orchestra play their tracks.
I was very bummed to hear about Arthur. "Forever Changes" is one of those albums I grew up with, but whose genius only really hit me as I grew older. (I'm 29.) This arrangement is amazing. What a tribute. Five stars.
