As far as i'm concerned Zep has still not played this song "For Your Life" in public yet because for most of this video the guy turning the lights on and off kept Zep in the dark for most of the song. What the fuck??? Nevertheless it did sound great!!!!!
I am so glad there is a real Bonham behind the drums....it comes near the real stuff!!!! Still think that Jason is tight, but not loose......sorry, can't help it.....
When will this be officially released?????? A must have for every fan around the globe, warming up, 'cause of Zep's music!!!!!
heksolson, thanks for th upload. This is the fucking shit, so tight. There is a fucking Santa Claus and his name is really Jimmy Page and this song is proof. The Presence LP was so killer when it came out in Sping '76. I must have listened to that LP 3 times a day for the first two weeks I had it and then I really played the hell out of it. Nice job.
This is pure Led Zeppelin. I have often argued that Presence was their best album, because it rocked and they cranked it out fast. It was not precious. It was Led Zep at their most challenged, and it was Page at his after-burner peak. It is no accident that this was the most lively and passionate number of the O2 show.
this song rips it up..PERIOD! im throwing it out there, youtube THE WHO's SPARKS 1970, you'll thank me, not looking to convert ya, but it is imho THE GREATEST, and i ve loved zep since 77 when i was 11..
NO ARGUMENT from me - simply the greatest rock quartet that has ever graced the stage, and Jason is his father on this song especially...i know this song intimately, and his drumming is Bonham all the way!!! Superb!!!!
I have been searching and have yet to find anything that moves me like the music of Led Zeppelin... It's personal and not to be argued with, to me this is the pinnacle of Rock & Roll...PERIOD!
@catmanbirdman can't top JPJ and the next level they reach playing with him. I think bonham played well, really felt like a zeppelin show. I think the best song of the night. like a dream
Man it's cool to see the names..... Page, Plant,Jones,Bonham flash across my scrreen at the end. Having Jason is a god send for the band and us fans, because frankly, nothing else but a Bonham will do! Right?
As a Zeppelin bootleg collector and listener for 35 years, I can say that from this performance, this song is the very best of the lot. Original key, solid vocals and great guitar work.
No one, I repeat no one can replace Plant in Zep. Anyone but Plant would be a tribute band, and one I would avoid in utmost contempt. Hey if Page, Jones and Bonham want to go on thats fine, do some new stuff, pull in Paul Rodgers, reform The Firm and ROCK the F out! Id pay good dough for that concert!
I saw Zep in the Spring of '77, the last time they toured that states as a band. It's most recent album was "Presence" and I remember being PROFOUNDLY disappointed that this song was NOT performed. I think it's one of their hardest crunchin' songs of them all! 'Bout damn time!! (Thankfully)
even if plant did a couple more shows to give the rest of the punters a chance..even if there was another ballot it would seem fair but in any case I will go and see the new singer...
A Les Paul with a Bigsby Vibrato. Probably similar if not the exact same guitar that Gibson has recently marketed as the, Jimmy Page Signature Les Paul Custom... ebony finish, gold hardware, triple pickup with a Bigsby option. Page had a guitar like this years ago, but it was stolen at some point.
My god. I am amazed everytime I hear live Zeppelin. And, to think, most of that is from 30 years ago. I listen to this and the same spirit is there unlike in previous reunions. AMAZING.
These audio enhancemnts, EXCELLENT! I've been watching these O2 video's since Dec. There are lots of good 1's. I really like Back Pack Dave's. I hope they release a DVD of this show. A show or 30 in the US would be even better. I had given up hope that they would ever play again, ever, and here they go. I'd say they sound better now than they did in 1980, and I would'a liked them then. I like all kinds of bands, but I always come back to Zeppelin. They are/were the best Band Ever.
Yep, this was my best ever evening....a bottle of champers followed by the four lads...awesome!!

Robert Plant doesn't even have to open his mouth to sound good.LOl
Nice remark about Jason's 'double bass drum pedal' great drummer he is,BUT his late dad was a one pedal master! RIP Bonzo :)

Let it be on the record:
No one can shred those brain freezing guitar licks the way Page does em.
No on can run through those haunting bass line frills like JPJ does em.
No one can rock out those thunderous vocals from the lowest low to the highest high like Plant does em.
And it seems the legendary signature drumming of the Bonham family lives on.
Enuff said.
