That's where this game fails utterly. In reality AK-47 is one of the worlds most reliable weapons. In FarCry 2 it will jam after two clips and explodes after five.

if the game should be that realistic you should fire just about 10.000 shots, there arent even that much ammo in the game, so they cut it down.

if the game should be so realistic too, you should not even be able to be shot, irl if you got shot in the leg you would fall down not even being able to think about anything else. and not at all be able to stand and shoot back.

and they dont want to make it too realistic because, take for example reloading a shotgun, in a lot of games they load the shotgun like they're on speed right, well, in real life you would probably take a handful of shells and get them straight each time and load them, its not like you're going to be in a gunfight and you run out of ammo, and you're reloading for about 5 minutes, not 5 seconds

Good option to use if you prefer assault rifles. At the moment, I'd sell one if I could.

Me... Dunno. I just prefer sniper rifles, but hey, that's what replayability is for. Play it again, and play it differently.

Besides. Make your shots count, and replace your weapon as often as possible, and corrosion should never be a problem. I've only had one gun explode on me, and that was when I was using an enemy's Star .45.
