Actually, "FARMER ALFALFA AND HIS TERRYTOON PALS" began in syndication in the fall of 1958, with Sweets Co. of America [Tootsie Roll] and General Foods [Baker's Instant Cocoa Mix] as their national sponsors. The Terrytoon studio produced several "integrated" commercials for Tootsie Roll featuring Farmer Al and his barnyard friends, which also turned up on other children's shows they sponsored.

I don't know what you consider "early" animated Toosie Roll commercial when this aired in the late 1950s and was included in the syndicated FARMER AL FALFA cartoon show in 1957-58.
