  • el parkour es mas antiguo... su mae

  • The Jackass in the XX century.

  • Can anyone tell me where the last part of the video was taken? The first few parts have been shot in New York, right? When the stuntmen is in the wheel at the end it says Ostseestrand on the sign next to him. That´s German.

  • Ha, ha ... Interesting stuff in this one ... ;)

  • Wow. Can't believe parkour was hip in the thirties too.

  • whats the name of this song? its very pretty!

  • If you want to see some extreme FreeRunning check out 3run, TeamTempest,Daniel Ilabaca and Ryan Doyle.

  • 0:08 = precission 0:10=sort off catleap or maybe also a precission 0:13= wallrun/wallcimb/wallpop 0:25=wallwalk (that's what it was called in the game FreeRunning)

That's what their called in Parkour/the Art of Movement. It's about overcoming obstacles both mental and fysical. Parkour is about being as fast as possible, freerunning is about being creative with you'r environment by just plain stunting with flips and shit. If you want to see some real parkour, then check out David Bell.

  • This guy deffinetly should be the basis for the next assassins creed make it a little modern this time :D

  • This is great

  • love this :), The term parkour is used too much, I might just start calling it this :/

  • What's the song?

  • I'd love to know the song too, but can't find it. Do you know now ?

  • that tree part is amazing, i cant stop watching it over and over.

  • The man in the first half of the video was my father, John Ciampa, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. The tree climbing took place on Eastern Parkway and the school is Public School 155 on Herkimer Street.

    Donna Ciampa

  • fantastic. cant believe you're his son...watched this for years and was wowed by it so much! Nice one mate

  • actually I think Donna is a girls name.

  • @LoneDerangerer Pretty sure she isn't his son.

  • @iambroom =))

  • @LoneDerangerer Ummmmm I think he's a she.... Donna is more of a girls name don't ya think? Lol ...

  • @LoneDerangerer why SON?? I thought "DONNA" is girl's name!

  • this is Arnim Dahl ..

  • @librariansrock

how can you proof you'r his son?

I mean, I can say 'I'm the cousin of the cousin of Obama' Do you believe me?

I'm not saying you'r not his son, but maybe you'r just lying.

  • @bboyfreefighter - I think that librariansrock is very likely to be telling the truth. (BTW, given that the post is signed "Donna Ciampa", I think that she is probably John Ciampa's daughter, rather than his son). John Ciampa (note, not German stuntman Armin Dahl, who appears in the second half of this clip) was a self-taught stunt performer in New York City and performed on Broadway, in rodeos etc. during the 1940s and '50s There are several articles about him online.

  • @librariansrock - thank you so much for that information. I've been wondering about his identity for DECADES!

  • @librariansrock do you have more videos of him?

  • @librariansrock

    Wow! He's astonishing! An inspiration!

  • Is Douglas Fairbanks, a Stuntman...

Who know the title of this song?!?!

  • Bloody hell this is the root of parkour!(except the wheel bit!)

  • Yeah, this is not Georges Hebert

  • Jumps in the water is not good, but his technique is really good. Love his tree climbing. Great!

  • The first minute is Georges Herbert, the person behind a movement discipline called Methode Naturalle.

  • Probably an American stuntman (or maybe firefighter ?) decades ago.

But this is absolutely not Georges Hebert.

First off, if he knew what Hebert looked like, you'd know it's not him.

Secondly, he got his right arm injured in 1914 in WWI and this left him disabled for the rest of his life.

Last, if you knew about his philosophy and the ethics of Methode Naturelle, you would know it was not about showing off or entertaining an audience.
