  • @Gurgi1990 Wilfully sinning over & over again is just being disobedient to his word. If you love the Lord Jesus He asked us to do as He commanded to show love towards Him.

    Exodus 20:6

And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

    John 14:21

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

    Fornication is against God's commandments

  • I don't have a problem with him being gay but leaving his family because of it is bothersome.

  • I can't get over how many lives of gay people he hurt before finding his own courage to come out. I'm not sure I can openly welcome him into the gay community

  • mel white is a living miracle.

  • If only Christians would actually READ the bible lol we still wouldn't be having this discussion in 2009. No need to thank me. x

  • By your ways, I can read the Bible that says such and say, well, it doesn;'t mean that, it really means this....That sir, is you...changing Gods word, I'm just reading it, WORD FOR WORD. Can't change it, sorry. It ...changes us. Or else, we remain, in our lives as they are. in sin.

  • You messaged me earlier saying that the bible says that homosexuals shall not enter the Kingdom yet there is no term that means homosexual orientation in the original Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts of the Bible, in fact the word 'homosexual' was not even IN the bible until it was TAMPERED with again in the 50's, the word being meaning more or less 'temple prostitute'. Once again, i urge you to research first before spouting out your homophobia here. God isnt against us, just people like u.

  • It's good to know people out there can read the Bible in its original Greek and Hebrew text as opposed to its current English translation. Where did you learn to read these foreign languages?

  • @Permaglo There are books on Biblical Hebrew Grammar and Greek News Testament Grammar out there, Just go to ammazon.com. You will find them, and you learn from those books.

  • @masyanto The people who write those books have difficulty deciding what certain words mean, so how does that help me?

  • will SABBATH-BREAKERS enter the kingdom? christians do not obey God's 4th commandment, which says Thou SHALL keep the Sabbath. Christians think the sabbath is Sunday, which is wrong. Christians wouldn't know how to observe the sabbath even if they knew which day is was. So why do sabbath-disrespecters/Commandment-disobeyers stay so focused on homosexuals? Jesus said "Why do you focus on what's in someone else's eye, when what's in your own eye is bigger?" since u want to use the bible

  • Just for the record, Jesus LET women speak unlike Paul and Jesus didn't even mention gays, in fact he healed a roman centurians 'servant' once, and anyone who knows anything, knows these 'servant's' didnt just cook sunday lunch....

  • God performed a miracle to show me he was fine with me being gay...when you have God (love) on your side, what else do you need?

  • Ruth 1:16-17 (New Living Translation) 16But Ruth replied, "Don't ask me to leave you and turn back. I will go wherever you go and live wherever you live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God. 17I will die where you die and will be buried there. May the LORD punish me severely if I allow anything but death to separate us!"

  • Christians who are slaves should give their masters full respect so that the name of God and his teaching will not be shamed. If your master is a Christian, that is no excuse for being disrespectful. You should work all the harder because you are helping another believer by your efforts. Teach these truths, Timothy, and encourage everyone to obey them. (1 Timothy 6:1-2 NLT)

  • You would think that Jesus and the New Testament would have a different view of slavery, but slavery is still approved of in the New Testament, as the following passages show. Slaves, obey your earthly masters with deep respect and fear. Serve them sincerely as you would serve Christ. (Ephesians 6:5 NLT)

  • 2 Sam 25-26 International Version 25 "How the mighty have fallen in battle! Jonathan lies slain on your heights. 26 I grieve for you, Jonathan my brother; you were very dear to me. Your love for me was wonderful, more wonderful than that of women.

  • It is so sad that we have stooped to such a level of perversion that now sin is just an "orientation."

  • After being an exgay for 18 years I know there is no "cure" and no peace in celibacy either, and yet I just can't agree....but good for you if you have found peace with your sexuality and God.

  • I love and miss you and your husband both, Mel! -Gabe

  • Thank you! My husband came out 18 months ago and he's since been excomunicated from his Lutheran church. It's been hell but heaven awaits us. We've found an accepting Catholic Church and are so grateful that God lead us to it. Keep up the good work.

  • Rev. Mel White brought us understanding and gave us hope that we would see the day the gay community lives in equality. As parents of a young gay man, we can't thank him enough for all he has done to bring truth to the people and justice to the gay community.

  • What a great gift of expression. Your style and marks of a gentleman as you speak here is encouraging and makes me feel proud to be a gay man.
