@scamrasc in the book, it doesnt happen that way, the hill was steep, but the horses didnt fall, what happened was they hadn't gone on the trail in a while, and something over flowed, so there was ice at the top off the hill. the black horse went up first, and when the chestnut horse was halfway up, the blackone slipped and the person on the chestnut horse froze, and so on and so forth
