I think you guys are missing the point. Garrus isn't one for wanton destruction - when he shoots, it's because he knows that he's going to hit his target. That's what makes those places fun to fight in - there's an extra layer of challenge in that if he misses he'll destroy something valuable. That's Garrus' idea of fun.
