@RicTic66 You and me both would love to own the UK London issue. As for MARVA HOLIDAY, I read that she and Nancy Padron were the 'touring' members of The Treasures while Clydie KIng and Sherlie Matthews were the studio group.
I'm surprised that this 45 got as high as #77 on the charts because it is hard to find. I've only found two copies in my life and I"ve seen a fair amount of records. Sometimes a record will get by you though. Is this record really that scarce?
@tenerife967 Yeah! i was n like 3rd grade when i bought/loved the jodie miller 45 (only getting airplay for the season of release, los angeles), only hearing this great version for 1st time today!
You're right, it IS a magnificent production. Would love to hear the flip side..... THANKS for posting, and for the fascinating background info. with all these singles.
I've always preferred this version to Jodie Miller's. Interestingly, Charlotte Matheny has said that Phil Spector was actually present in the Gold Star studio for this recording session. Charlotte, unfortunately, died in 1976 when she was still in her thirties, a victim of breast cancer. As always, thanks for the great notations on this post.
Fantastic Song I have the Phi Dan issue still looking out for the desirable UK London Demo ......
Didn't Marva Holiday have something to do with B&TT?
I'm sure I read it somewhere

I love this track, and I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but, it's NOT produced by Phil. It was produced by Jerry Riopelle.
