I don't listen to much modern country but I like the standard bearers (Hank and Johnny) and i do love this song (Real Good Man) as it has a strong country soul lyrically and musically. I remember hearing it a lot on a cross country road trip in 03 when the song first came out. The same time Shania's "Forever and for Always" came out. These two songs sort of became the theme to that trip.
