  • he was was just as good as michael jackson as far as the dancing goes but wasn't a better musician.

  • @mrinnervisionz I agree with you 100% the problem is people really don't know that Ms. Houston brought Bobby down. The sad reality is that he got the shitty end of the stick at the end of the day. But hands down he was in his performance prime in the late 80's early 90's if he didn't get mixed up with drugs it no telling how much more he could have accomplished.

  • What I think is the hardest part of all this is singing and dancing especially the way he does it.

  • @batmancollegestudent I mean at the same time.

  • Classic!!

    I love it so much

  • damn why did this dumb ass take drug!

  • @200damary Whitney Houston turned Bobby on to cocaine & crack, a lot of people don't know that! Bobby used to smoke weed & drink, it was'nt until he got with Whitney that he started the cocaine! Still he was a badass on the stage & in concert! I got to see Bobby Brown in concert 3 times in the late 80s & mid 90s, the man was a fuckin beast!

  • @200damary

he take drug because you take dick.

    dumass!!!!!

  • Awesome!

  • bobby was smoooov when he was on his game....ralph tresvant was a hellafied dancer ane even he had to admit bobby was better

  • @gdub520 ppl have their own personal issues man

  • watch his feet at 1:07 How the F do you do that?? Noone does that stuff 2day! The best ever!

  • I totally agree he was a trendsetter and he looks good on here, hes great w his legs great dancer.I think him and Whitney were great 2gether minis the drugs and really loved each other but the drugs just made them toxic 2getha ,their personalities clashed because drugs r evil and love no1 but their 2 great entertainers,so glad 2 c them clean and redoin their career thang, love them

  • B.Brown !..... The One And Only!!!

  • he was the shyt. Then he started boozin and smokin and not giving a damn. There's a Mtv performance he was not ON POINT

  • @passion4posh

u have 2 be talkin about the on our own performance. that was TERRIBLE.

  • @mivado3

    yep that was it !

  • he was the shyt. Then he started boozin and smokin and not giving a damn. There's a Mtv performance he was horrible.

  • Usher and Chris Brown got nothin on this guy, period!

  • It's too personal drama has eclipsed Bobby's immense talent cause this performance was beyond stellar! Top notch energy start to finish and the music was actually really damn good...still sounding awesome 20 years later.

And even the audience was jammin and not just the kids in the rafters but the stiffs down front too! I have these AMAs on VHS and i still pop it in to reminisces.

  • era muy bueno en sus tiempos, te añoramos bobby, un saludo para todos sus fans, y desde madrid otro, cuidaros.

  • What a penis with an attitude

  • Go! BOBBY!

  • Naaah....You outta your fuckin mind to even think he was better than Michael Jackson..And that's real talk...But they were completely different..Michael had the robot and moonwalk era, while Bobby had the new jack swing era... Bobby was excellent in the 80's and if he had not turned to drugs he would have been doing more things. This performance here only shows that he was once a talented young brother. We're so busy with these artists personal lives..we forget how great they were and are. smh.

  • man too bad i was 1 when he performed this. i'm not a fan of bobby brown and the choices he made but damn he killed it. he kind of reminded me of michael, hardcore version. but there is only one michael. bobby owned that stage and i just wish he didn't turn to drugs and constantly getting into trouble. i think he would've had a bigger career.

  • i love bobby b

  • Excelente vídeo principalmente pela excepcional Anita baker.

  • He killed it. Too bad performers today don't put that much effort into their performances.

  • Just heard his new single "damaged" I liked it. Hope he makes a kick-ass video and album to compliment it.

  • this is great, thanks for posting it!!

  • bobby was the sh*t!!!!!...omg...i was in love with him.. went to his concert when he came to pittsburgh...loved bad boys...best performance EVA....

  • Bobby was the best since michael jackson

  • I'm loving this!!! I use to wanna be Bobby Brown, before "Being Bobby Brown"!

  • this dude is jamming, his dance steps are dope!!!!!!!

  • bobby was da fuckin shit!!! dont be cruel was wat it was bout back den aside from da immortal michael jackson. i only wish dat michael and bobby coulda did a concert or album together. also i wish heda sang dont be cruel in dis.

  • Gotta luv Bobby....ENERGY!!!

  • Man he Killed Dat Performance For Real....

  • what song!?!?!?!THANKS

  • Wow i never thought of it but aside from watching Michael Jackson Bobby in his prime would have been 1 hell of a concert.

  • That step they do at 0.41 is fricking bad ass, great video! Theses brother's are so in step is crazy.

  • Michael Hammer Bobby

  • The 90's

  • You can disagree with me or not but second to Michael Jackson he has some bad ass moves

  • Yo! he was getting it @ 1:19!

  • whether hes singing live or not his performance was still off the chain.

  • 0:43 - 0:49 dang i miss the 90s!!

  • Watch Bobby Brown On Our Own Live 1990, now thats singing "Live", big difference, here he is not.

  • so so true

  • bobby was alot more fucked up on drugs in the 90 performance than on here he was still on his A game here

  • U can't tell about drug usage during either performance, he did drugs as a kid as well. Drugs or no drugs, I prefer the 90's live performance cause it's always good to hear the artists. This performance is still cool cause Bobby knows how to entertain.

  • yea he is rally singing listen to the album version to this!!

  • i'm glad someone else noticed besides me!! thanks

  • that dont mean bobby brown is really singin cause this is diff than the album version, thats a performance were a 2nd version is made so he can play that song live, he can't be so on point with dancing and sing at the same time, he'll run outta breath, michael did it too , look up "dangerous live"

  • bobby ripped this performance,he was very talented! i still luv u bobby

  • King of New Jack Swing

  • iF YOU DUMB WHITE PEOPLE KNOW, HE SUNG THIS SONG NO LIP SYNC. HE EVEN TWISTED UP A LITTLE. WE DON'T MIND...CAUSE EVEN WHEN WE CAN'T SING, WE CAN SING...BLACKS I MEAN. FUCK ALL YOU NON-WHITE SINGERS.

  • Bobby use to be the 'ish back in the day. He was the King of R&B. In his prime he would give Usher & Chris Brown a run for their money. But sadly, Bobby Brown has to be the biggest waste of talent ever!! Who knows how big he could have been if he didn't get caught up with drugs! :(

  • When you upload on Youtube the vido doesnt always play together making it look lik lip-syncing

  • Hard to tell when the video and audio are poorly synced due to YouTube's fault, but I don't think this one is lip-synced. If it is, Bobby is singing to a backing track that is different than the studio recordings, which is rare for lip-syncing.

As for MJ, if you check out any videos from his 1987 Bad tour, there was zero lip-syncing! (Unlike '90s Michael..) So back in the day MJ danced like crazy and didn't need backing tracks!

  • even micheal lip sung...to dance that much lol you gotta lip sing, or else your breathing hard in the mic and you can lose breath faster

  • right, u would definitely hear him breathing in the mic as hard as he is dancing in this clip, it's OK if he is lipping it, he's dancing his ass off. good performance, listen to the crowd while Anita is intro-ing him

  • MY PEROGATIVE!

  • Great performance! Bobby at his best could give you goosebumps.

  • This was an A1 performance, Bobby can sing & dance, he's still the original King of R&B and one of the original New Jacks!!

  • saw him 20 years ago in Sydney

    50% singin and jumpin around

    50% humping the stage

    great concert

  • your an idiot he wasnt lip singing because there was no backround vocal of his voice its called back up singers i would know hes my dad he never lip sings dumbass

  • "Every little step i take,You will be there" (grew up on this) the man can dance his ass off but its those silk ass shoes hes wearing thats why hes sliding like that. "Bobby The Wonder"

  • i use to see them when they all hung out trying to get that big break at the talent concerts - ah the days of maury starr and the boston market downtown. lol i remember their 1st record deal - they (new edition) rolled through the neighborhood in tricked out jeeps! lol

  • This fucking guy was a trend setter and ahead of his time, but he let drugs get the better of him. Fucking crazy, so much fucking talent. The dance moves, song writing and natural musicality. I guess for some people its so easy.

  • WHen i was 17, i waited 15 hours for tickets to see Bobby Brown. It was the best concert i have ever been to.

  • Bobby Brown a great performer, dumbass messed it up with drugs

  • Bobby Brown was a better entertainer than Michael Jackson, pity he let the drugs ruin him...he coulda been HUGE!!

  • Better than Michael Jackson? I m going to have to disagree.

  • yes better than michael, you never know what Bobby coming on stage with , but Michael you pretty much knew what the routine was.....

  • Bobby Brown I have Much Respect for Him he Paved the way For Usher and .R.Kelly their songs have that Bad Boy Slow jamz to Bobby Paved the Way

  • I was bobby brown in the clubs if you know what i mean

  • Comment removed

  • and still bobby brown is unique...

  • This performance was THE best back in the day. B. Brown at his peak was better than any one out right now, imo. Still hoping someone comes a long and changes the game the way he did back then.

  • I don't know about ya'll , but Bobby Brown is a much better entertainer than Chris Brown. Music back then was much better. I don't know what happened.

  • Bobby 'Boogie Down" Brown!! Damn shame!! What talent!! The man could move!!

  • It's kinda sad to watch this, considering what happened to the dude later on

  • In the rap at the very end he says..."sip the spit from the tip of my bozack" I think that's pretty funny considering it got past the censors.

  • I remember watching this live and thinking the same thing.

  • Bobby was a beast on the Dance floor!!!

  • Now this is a entertainer Bobby was the shit back in the day.

  • best dancers top 3:

  • I have to admit he rock the house on this one and back in the day Bob was the BOMB!!!

  • He really was!

  • wow! i love bobby..he's great!

  • dope move he have alot of energy on stage

  • its crazy look how young he was back then damn

  • Wow, incredible!!!! Music was great back then and people didn't dress like clowns. Classic!

  • I smiled from ear to ear when he shouted Boston before leaving the stage..Only B-Brown.

  • Only 1 B-Brown

  • i remember this vid 2 years ago..

    Bobby is the shyt =)

  • Epic Win!!!

Bobby had some of the best dance moves I ever seen... even in todays standards!

  • the king of stage

  • noone was like him back then....noone

  • This was a great performance and I didn't see a peek of a Michael Jackson move. Unlike others in todays music industry, truly great stuff ALL BOBBY BROWN!

  • This is to show everyone how great Bobby Brown was during his prime. He will always be remembered as one of the greatest music entertainers of all time. Love you Bobby!!!!! King of New Jack Swing!!!!

  • anita at the beginning and then bobby...this was a wonderful time for music

  • You dont see dancing and moves like that these days....smooth as silk man! He was the best and in his prime, every performer has one good act left in them, come on Bobby we wanna see you in 2009, u u you know it!

  • He is not slipsiking!!! Impressive.

  • Bobby Brown really is the King of R&B.

  • Damn, Bobby Brown reminds me of Powerline on A Goofy Movie.

  • haha lol
