Furthermore, according to many (and my own experience), the spacious atmosphere creates a passive environment. The New Testament depiction of what occured when the church gathered in the first century is one of spontaneity and one of equality. I (Realist) have never called anyone "church folk".

Error needs to be confronted as in scripture, even if it's error found within each of us, including these guys. Having a teachable & correctable spirit via the WOG is something that all Christians must have within themselves. Truth isn't always pleasant.

As I looked through their site, I have yet to see anything that does not line up with the teachings found in scripture. What is it that you find in error, that they don't believe in a physical church over the spiritual church? Do share. There is nothing wrong with meeting & preaching in a building, but their description of man's error in how the church gather in these buildings, is correct.

Oops! I did miss your point! I've never heard of it. I do indeed see the comparison now. The thing that struck me about the stuff in Daniel was that Daniel gives chronology for when the destruction of Jerusalem etc would occur and this was nearly 400 years before it occurred- plus the stuff about the Messiah. I'm open minded enough to check stuff out. I still doubt it all but 'believing' that God exists has had a positive effect on my life and I believe there is enough 'evidence' for God.
Flippancy aside, I'm as skeptical as anyone and having checked out the Bible I'm amazed at the prophecies contained in it- prophecies like the ones in Daniel that were written hundreds of years before the events took place, thus lending authority and credence to these prophecies. I'm rather more interested in books of that nature, that may actually contain truth, than Lord of Ring type novels. If you read the Bible and believe it to be a book of fiction then so be it.
It was their 'just deserts'. It was foretold hundreds of years beforehand in the book of Daniel (as was the Messiah's coming and being killed).
We can't repair the bad stuff going on down here- hence the Messiah coming. God said HIs creation was 'good', not perfect. The physical (which is now) is going to be replaced by the spiritual and then perfection will come.
Some Christians believe Jesus 'came' again the second time in 70 AD, in judgment against Jerusalem. He didn't come physically but in judgment. I tend to believe this, but I also believe that the full restoration of everything (new heavens , new earth etc) is for a future time. Jesus is presently waiting at God's right hand til all His enemies have been placed under His feet. I don't know why it's taking so long, but I'm glad it has, as I've had a chance to be born.

By not clarifying this, you may risk becoming as guilty as you feel the people are in those videos. God can definitely speak through anyone He chooses. God even chose Solomon to place on the throne and Solomon was a disappointment. Yet he was not a false prophet as he ended up repenting at the end of his life and learning God's wisdom. I am a believer of God and Jesus Christ risen and crucified for my sins. I am saved and God abides within me. That being said. We are called as children of God to preach the word. However, you need to be careful in the tone you want to speak. God has said he will open up a window to pour out blessings one cannot even begin to receive. Granted these blessing do not have to have a monetary value. But a man who has money is not automatically a lover of money.

For those who repent. Perhaps you forgot the words from God spoken in Ezekiel 13-14. Jesus is this very word become flesh. The 10 comandments are obsolete for believers under the new covenant. It was never God's choice for people to be under the 10 commandments. Let's take a look at Joseph, he lived before the "law" and was righteous because he was more aware of the love God had for him. Notice that Joseph did not sin with potiphars wife but when isreal came under the law their sexual sins were plentiful. We can also use abraham as an example. And Jesus indeed come to give hugs and kissess, GOD IZ LOVE!

marlerob, Jesus is the word become flesh, the whole word. If we're in Him, our hearts desire after righteousness. That doesn't mean that we are without error, nor does it mean that we deliberately embrace sin knowing the horrific death that Christ suffered for it & knowing each time we chose to sin, it's partaking in that death.

That is right, but you are confusing having the HS, followed by being led via the HS, to that of following after the flesh. Paul says this about the flesh:

Jesus does not take away anything that we are not willing to give up. For those with the HS, there is a very clear choice that is not passive by any means at all:
Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.
It's like listening to sinful music with worldly words. If we know it's wrong yet we still listen to it, we've made the choice to walk in the flesh.

I suggest that you read the seven letters to the seven churches in Revelation. These are clear rebukes from God against sin in the body of Christ & He clearly calls them to repentance, & His consequense for not doing such is very clear. The question is, are we still in Christ when we have knowingly turned away from Him? Eve may give us a clear answer for that.

I agree 100% with the response that TheRealDisciples gave to this post. It doesn't make me happy to believe & see such going on in the church today, but it is. As a person who knows them, they absolutely do not believe gathering in a building is demonic. I think u may have gotten that impression by their focus on the tradition of calling church a building. But its the traditions that come with that they are speaking against, Not so much gathering in buildings. There are actually vids of them gathering in buildings so, they clearly coudlnt think it was demonic

We do not believe that gathering in a building is demonic. We do however believe that the architecture of most buildings depletes the experience of every member functioning within church gatherings. Furthermore, according to many (and my own experience), the spacious atmosphere creates a passive environment. The New Testament depiction of what occured when the church gathered in the first century is one of spontaneity and one of equality. I (Realist) have never called anyone "church folk".

Furthermore, we do not believe that all pastors are "fake", we do however believe based on the New Testament that there is no biblical mandate for the "office" of the pastor. Furthermore, the New Testament had many elders (pastors) among each assembly (Acts 20:17, Acts 20:28), not a single figurehead.

oh alright...well I was "taught" this by a member of Mt. Gilead during dinner one night. There were other members there also that did not rebuke him for saying this...We were also threatened by a member of Mt. Gilead...actually a "leader" of Mt. Gilead. He taught/teach bible studies to the youth...(don't know if he is still doing it) This same guy said Jesus is not the only way....these are from the members..you can look on the website of mt. gilead and see why it breeds these type of people.

Error needs to be confronted as in scripture, even if it's error found within each of us, including these guys. As I looked through their site, I have yet to see anything that does not line up with the teachings found in scripture. What is it that you find in error, that they don't believe in a physical church over the spiritual church? Do share. There is nothing wrong with meeting & preaching in a building, but their description of man's error in how the church gather in these buildings, is correct.

You can check the "Atlanta" video and see that they do not know him....how do they not know one of the richest "Christians" in Georgia...yet he does so much for different communities? Oops! I did miss your point! I've never heard of it. I do indeed see the comparison now. The thing that struck me about the stuff in Daniel was that Daniel gives chronology for when the destruction of Jerusalem etc would occur and this was nearly 400 years before it occurred- plus the stuff about the Messiah. I'm open minded enough to check stuff out. I still doubt it all but 'believing' that God exists has had a positive effect on my life and I believe there is enough 'evidence' for God.

Flippancy aside, I'm as skeptical as anyone and having checked out the Bible I'm amazed at the prophecies contained in it- prophecies like the ones in Daniel that were written hundreds of years before the events took place, thus lending authority and credence to these prophecies. I'm rather more interested in books of that nature, that may actually contain truth, than Lord of Ring type novels. If you read the Bible and believe it to be a book of fiction then so be it.

It was their 'just deserts'. It was foretold hundreds of years beforehand in the book of Daniel (as was the Messiah's coming and being killed).
We can't repair the bad stuff going on down here- hence the Messiah coming. God said HIs creation was 'good', not perfect. The physical (which is now) is going to be replaced by the spiritual and then perfection will come.

Some Christians believe Jesus 'came' again the second time in 70 AD, in judgment against Jerusalem. He didn't come physically but in judgment. I tend to believe this, but I also believe that the full restoration of everything (new heavens , new earth etc) is for a future time. Jesus is presently waiting at God's right hand til all His enemies have been placed under His feet. I don't know why it's taking so long, but I'm glad it has, as I've had a chance to be born.

I have enough discernment to follow Yahushua and not Paul or any other man. Some say Peter wrote 1 Peter but not 2 Peter because there is a difference in the writing style, but either way, I'm not going to let one verse from Peter make me believe the lies & lawlessness that Paul preaches. Yahushua said to "follow me" do you think he was talking about walking down the dirt road, or do you think we are to imitate Him? He came to fulfill the laws, He kept the commandments, He kept the Sabbath.
