Is it heresy to say that Joe is not *that* hard to beat, so long as you have a high-class chocobo with plenty of stamina, so you can get a massive lead on him at the very start? Generally Joe doesn't bother to catch up - he runs on the same script as any other rider.

I found a chocobo with natural 999 stamina, thinking that there was no way Teioh could top that. Next race I was in, Teioh had like 1034 stamina. He broke the barrier to prove me wrong...Damn that chocobo....

@Princessstarify With a lot of time and dedication, it's a very long process if you want one that will wipe the floor with the competition including Teioh. Or you can just defeat I think it was Ruby weapon, take the desert rose to the guy in Kalm, and he gives you a gold chocobo, it was either that or defeat Emerald weapon, one of the two! :) Check neoseeker . com, they will most likely have a chocobo breeding guide! Hope that helped :D

Joe and teioh is actually beatable, you can raise your chances by breeding a black chocobo to race against him and by feeding it reagan or sylkis.
