  • can that also clean mold

  • @abwlegacy

It's not mold, it's copper oxide. It's the stuff that forms with saliva and brass.

  • My sax has like moss growing on it.... Oops. I need to clean it.

  • Just got an alto sax, thanks ! :)

  • XO my face when I saw the e flat pad

  • I love my sax. Iv been playing for 4 years, since I was 11. I play it atleast twice a week and anoy my family ;-)

Thank you for the vid cos I honestly had no idea how i was ment to clean out the inside but now I do. Thanks

  • Thanks for the excelent video! Lately I've been more careful with my sax, but I've played it for 12 years, since I was a little kid, and playing it under cold temperatures, under the sun, under the rain, and with inexperinece, it has got a bit damaged. I've been a lot more careful in the last few years, and it's still playing good :)

  • so your saying that the pad saver long fuzzy thing is good for a sax cause this is what i have been wondering

  • This is an excellent video. Thanks for taking your time with this demonstration - I really appreciate it.

  • Thanks! Just decided to get my own tenor tonight and just remembered that I had always shared one with another person and always let them clean it out. (I was too scared because I played clarinet before tenor instead of alto)

  • altos are horrible! bari sax is epic >:D

  • Good video, but I wonder if the left hand side keys don't get damaged by the position of the saxophone over the table ...

  • im gonna get a cleaning kit right now

  • This is the only reason why the Bari Sax sucks...

  • its been about a year since i've cleaned my alto :(

  • I think the spongy disc in the peace to clean the body is too big, it Got stoke in the thinner part..

  • do you store the sax with the duster looking thing (pad protector in the horn) I bought an alto sax and it arrived today. It has the pad protector but no pull through cloths. I'm on a tight budget, what online shop would you say was reasonably priced? Mel

  • I tell my customers this exact same stuff constantly. Ironic when you consider I'm advising them how to save money by reducing the amount of visits and money they would have to pay me to clean and fix them.

  • Thanks

  • I do disagree with this kind of cleaning. Gravity and breath push the moisture (saliva) down the saxophone where it sticks.

  • Thank you, you saved my new Alto Sax !

  • i need help what happens if there is paper stuck i need help ? could sombody give me a tip or a guidline please messege me

  • @FAFALCON86 inside the sax what happen ok go to a music store the can helo u can do it urself just find a stick and try to stick it in maybe come out

  • hi martinmusic i would like to know where your store is at so we can bring my saxophone in.

  • hey thanks

  • I approve of this video. Infact I started to pick up some of your techniques in cleaning my horn. You also make a very good point about taking the swab through the bell. I was like ouch, because I am so use to going the other way. But you are right, why drag all that spit through the entire sax. I quess old habits die hard. But thanks for posting this vid. I liked it.

  • how do you clean the bell end ??? ;-)

  • Nice video, how do you clean a baritone saxophone?

  • A very good video. Thanks!

  • It took you fifty three seconds.

    Not thirty.

  • That's because he went through the body more times to show you how. Cool off dude.

  • i so wish i'd have done this with mine.. got it out the other day and seriously it wasn't even worth playing.

  • Thanks, I am one of those that thought the fuzzy stick was actually some kind of pipe cleaner.

  • Nice job, Bill!
