This is interesting, considering that a 'Christian' band would take the same music played by a band inspired by the devil and use the very same demonic music, and just change the lyrics... you cannot take from the table of the Lord and the table of devils guys, dont be fooled.
@Apocalips320 Why is it people like you have to crap on a ministry . I happen to like ApologetiX, even though they use the wrong name. As a Messianic Believer I like this, its funny and comical. No different than Weird Al. At least these Guys are giving a Biblical message in the songs. I can't stand the legalism of Christianity when you don't even follow the same rules you impose on others, All Christianity has to offer is chains and bondage thats why I left to follow the true Messiah Y'shua
@DefenderofZyon2010 How do you know that I dont follow the 'same rules I impose on others'? I dont listen to this, but prior to my conversion I was fond of Apologetix music. If they are 'no different than Wierd Al' then there is a problem.
@freetotheworld1 Touch not the unclean thing. Instead of listening to music sung by an open homosexual (who I realize is now deceased) why dont you turn that garbage off and go share the Gospel with them?
@77grace7 HAHAHAHAHA! Provide proof! I have heard that a million times, quit saying things unless you can prove it. Also, I never mentioned hymns as music that I listen to, so maybe you should read more carefully!
There is no such thing as demonic music. It only becomes demonic if the lyrics are such. Change the lyrics and you change the purpose of the music.
It isn't fitting to reserve things for the devil. Everything we give to him is one more tool at his disposal. I will gladly yank anything I can get out of his grasp, and I applaud others who do the same.
@Orenotter Your one word answer is what it irrelevant, they took the music, changed the lyrics, so what? Both came from the same place. Answer my question
The origin of the tune is irrelevant. What is evil about the tune? Does it harm anyone? Does it lead anyone astray spiritually? Does it spread disease? Is it breaking an explicit command from God? No. None of the above. A tune can't do any of that. It takes lyrics. Replace evil lyrics with good ones and the song is no longer evil.
Besides, Satan doesn't create. He only mimics. I don't believe the tune COULD have come from him anyway.
First, do not use the Lord's title in that flippant manner.
Second, is was a leading question, based on the assumption that there are only two possible sources for the tune, a premise which neither you nor I ever stated. Therefore, your argument is invalid.
Third, I don't know where it came from and I don't care. The lyrics which Apologetix puts in their parodies sanctifies their versions of the songs. If it were not so, the Spirit would have told them so Himself.
You are not a higher court than God. If God does not approve of what Apologetix is doing, the holy Spirit will make it known to them very plainly. To date, He has not. Neither are you a judge over Apologetix. You haven't the authority to overrule God's decision. Only the audacity.
This discussion is now over. I will not give myself a migraine trying to talk sense to the senseless.
@Orenotter If one doesnt ask, he will not receieve, if you dont ask God to show you if something is wrong He wont. Calling me sensless is a little harsh, especially when you dont know much about me apart from this, I could say you are childish for some of the information on your profile, but that would be rude and ignorant of me. I never said I was a higher court or anything, I asked a question, if you dont want to answer or cant answer than say so, dont fly off the handle guy!

@Apocalips320 Then bad your reasoning the Hymns should not be used either. They were bar tunes in the day in which they were turned into "hymns".

@Orenotter So where do you think a unrepentant homosexual and his band get their music from?

@Apocalips320
Irrelevant.

@Orenotter Oh and to add to my former comment, I was really asking the Lord to have mercy, nothing flippant there, friendly otter.
