were singing this in my choir!! i love it!!! we arent singingwith as long of vowels though were doing it kinda nasaly and opposite of what your normally taught in music class. the straights AHHHH part, we call it drone. Its a really fun song cuz its totally out of element (=
We're doing this song for our concert next week! My suggestion is that ya'll are making the vowels too tall. This song was made to be sung more through the nasal passages and sound kind of in your face and not pretty; apparently that's also the best way to get the overtones, too. But you guys did really good!
i love this song! we've listened to it in choir many times. i actually got to see it performed at the goshen college program in Sauder Hall. it was amazing!
I'm going to be singing this with my choir on Tuesday. Allthough mine is an all girls choir, but my choir teacher assures us that the best one he's heard of this song was an all girls choir. It's kinda sad that you cant hear the overtones in this song, but they preformed it pretty well. Is this a highschool? Cause my highschool is called the Blazers too. ^^ sorry random though!
besides the er...video lacking in quality, it's quite clear that this interpretation is pretty much the same as the original recording of this piece...the other two recordings on youtube aren't quite the same as the original interpretation...awesomeness...:D
such a contrast to what your normally taught, but i love it

@wildhockeyfan34 Not at all a contrast. You find your resonant spaces and make them dance to your will and design. That is singing.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
This song is shit. If sarah hopkins is the best that Australia has to offer, then the whole damn country can die in hell.

Mate, if this is not your style of music, perhaps don't listen? Or do you enjoy being insulted? Shmuck...
