Two, no matter how fast a car is, there's always something out there that can beat it. You don't need a V8 to be fast. There's always going to be some fast imports that will smoke muscle cars, and vise versa. That's life. Get over it.
Supra's don't have the low torque launch, so it always plays catchup, just imagine if the Foxboxy played a little game of Highway Pulls with the Supra! Hell or even circuit track. The mustang was obviously sick, but you gotta give that Supra some props.

Mustang got the jump, still lost. On a different day, might turn out different. The supra is the better car in this video because the BUILDER is better. What I think is that each country has there specialties. I feel America is great with V8's and superchargers, Japan is great with V6's and Turbo's, and Europeans are great with N/A V10's. I just feel thats how things are. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong but thats just personal opinion.
Not trying to start no arguments but I just think everyone has different tasts. If you love muscle cars fine don't hate on imports. If you love imports don't hate on muscle cars. I mean can we all at least try to get along. In the end we all love cars regardless of the make or where they come from. Imports win some times and Domestic wins some times. Its alway's gonna be that way.
I like supras, I love American muscle. I like anything that goes fast. i have a fox body, 428ci SBF with big squeeze and and even bigger turbo. I'm shooting for sevens this year myself. I intend on driving to the track... ;) more cubes=less stress for the same amount of power.
Muscle heads always compare V8s and up to 4cyl Hondas. Great job, guys! Very impressive. Maybe one day, I'll ask some random white kid in his American made Dodge Neon SRT-4 to go heads up against a WRX STI or maybe a GTR if ones at the track one day and see how what kind of response i could garner from that. I mean, why not compare a care with 350+ HP to a car with only around 180?
@GTSRBOY yeah, because that 7 second supra sure can take corners as well right? It all depends on what the car is built to do. Change the suspension and modify the chassis of the foxbody and you'll have a car that is more than capable of taking corners. You usually see muscle cars dominating the 1/4, and imports dominating the track. But either class is capable of doing both (think of supras on the 1/4, and mustangs and gtos dominating drifting). Both imports and muscle deserve respect.

It's basic mechanics. You can see it in Formula D heh, look at the number of imports running import engines.

My point is, dont type-cast, stereotype or label cars because of where they were manufactured or by what company. but if you want my honest opinion, you take an LS1, stick it into a 240z, 350z, 240sx, rx-7 and then if you want, turbo it. then you will have a car that has the finesse of an import with the torque of a domestic v8. and since the LS1 is aluminum block, it's just as light as the 350z's VQ motor, or even lighter than the 240's KA motor.
Oh, and a couple more things, yes, imports are (generally speaking) lacking the torque that v8's have, but they make it up in their high rpm's. AND any of you v8 guys (especially 350 small blocks) will know that any v8 revving to 8 grand is not going to last long, whereas the standard for any performance honda I4 is 8k rpms (f20, f22, k20a to name a few).
furthermore, the whole straight-line vs corners argument, you import guys are retards. look at the tiger racing mustang, does that not corner?
and pushing out almost as much power as the ls1 camaro's, 05+ mustang GT's, LT1's etc, which also have anywhere from 0.8 to 2 liter's more (depending on which motor's we are comparing).

A bike is way too light, therefore thats the logical explanation why its as fast as a car. however, a supra weighs 3500lbs or so, and thats pretty heavy, therefore comparing a supra and a camaro is a more realistic comparison than comparing a bike and a supra
Maybe because you race things within your own class. A motorcycle is a motorcycle, you race with other motorcycles. That's like comparing a car to a plane. There has been races where a motorcycle and car raced each other, but that's in good fun, not to really be taken too seriously, and if a car can keep up with a bike, than that's amazing.

Mustang got the jump, still lost. On a different day, might turn out different. You could watch a civic run an 9 and a mustang run a 9 and the muscle guys would say the civic cost more and the tuners would say the muscle cost more. The supra is the better car in this video because the BUILDER is better. Not because of where the car came from, not because of how much money was spent, but because the person who built it was good at what they did. Just sit back and appreciate the work and the car

What I think is that each country has there specialties. I feel America is great with V8's and superchargers, Japan is great with V6's and Turbo's, and Europeans are great with N/A V10's. I just feel thats how things are. I'm pretty sure I'm wrong but thats just personal opinion.

Not trying to start no arguments but I just think everyone has different tasts. If you love muscle cars fine don't hate on imports. If you love imports don't hate on muscle cars. I mean can we all at least try to get along. In the end we all love cars regardless of the make or where they come from. Imports win some times and Domestic wins some times. I like supras, I love American muscle. I like anything that goes fast. i have a fox body, 428ci SBF with big squeeze and and even bigger turbo. I'm shooting for sevens this year myself. I intend on driving to the track... ;) more cubes=less stress for the same amount of power.

@GTSRBOY yeah, because that 7 second supra sure can take corners as well right? It all depends on what the car is built to do. Change the suspension and modify the chassis of the foxbody and you'll have a car that is more than capable of taking corners. You usually see muscle cars dominating the 1/4, and imports dominating the track. But either class is capable of doing both (think of supras on the 1/4, and mustangs and gtos dominating drifting). Both imports and muscle deserve respect.

Look at Heffners/Hoffman GT, 1900 rwhp boost only with the stock block and heads. Titans Celica would get beaten pretty bad in 10.5 outlaws, if it could run that is. 2Js are beasts but not on the top of the power game.

I'm am also talking about cars that weigh quite a bit more than that Celica. Relatively speaking you can do all you wish to a 2JZ but the same can be done to a V8 and make more power in a much more usable and reliable way. Simple displacement. Do 2J powered cars hold any records outside of the import world?

But both are still slower than the top guys running on true 10.5s in the outlaws. Saying a small strung 3l anything is more reliable than a respectively built, larger displacement v8+ is a stretch. It's basic mechanics. You can see it in Formula D heh, look at the number of imports running import engines.

My point is, dont type-cast, stereotype or label cars because of where they were manufactured or by what company. but if you want my honest opinion, you take an LS1, stick it into a 240z, 350z, 240sx, rx-7 and then if you want, turbo it. then you will have a car that has the finesse of an import with the torque of a domestic v8. and since the LS1 is aluminum block, it's just as light as the 350z's VQ motor, or even lighter than the 240's KA motor.

Oh, and a couple more things, yes, imports are (generally speaking) lacking the torque that v8's have, but they make it up in their high rpm's. AND any of you v8 guys (especially 350 small blocks) will know that any v8 revving to 8 grand is not going to last long, whereas the standard for any performance honda I4 is 8k rpms (f20, f22, k20a to name a few).
furthermore, the whole straight-line vs corners argument, you import guys are retards. look at the tiger racing mustang, does that not corner?

V8's sound nice, turbo's sound cool. i've seen all-motor honda's spank the shit outta v8's. people talk about fuel economy, but when your dumping anything about 13psi into a motor, you are killing your fuel economy. Plain and simple American V6 is the forgotten child and Japanese NA engine is the forgotten child. American's loves V8+SC and NOS. We import lovers love our turbo's. The GENTLEMEN'S AGREEMENT is over now for Japanese auto maker. a bike and a car is like comparing apples and oranges. A bike is way too light, therefore thats the logical explanation why its as fast as a car. however, a supra weighs 3500lbs or so, and thats pretty heavy, therefore comparing a supra and a camaro is a more realistic comparison than comparing a bike and a supra

Maybe because you race things within your own class. A motorcycle is a motorcycle, you race with other motorcycles. That's like comparing a car to a plane. There has been races where a motorcycle and car raced each other, but that's in good fun, not to really be taken too seriously, and if a car can keep up with a bike, than that's amazing.

yeah i get it... but still not all motors are dependible at 40+psi. and the only 6 cyllinder i can think of that's anything similar to a supra in my opinion is a grand national...and even then, the quality of the 2jz, the way it's build is undeniable it is truely an awsome engine

@500hpsohc the clelicas you speak of are tube chasis import funny cars running in the 6s. There are tons of door slammer 10.5 inch tire domestics running the same times at highr mph with a stock body car. Look its cool that the imports are running those times but they cant hang with the big boys yet. Now that they have some jap 8s to mess with maybe in time but not with ANY 2jz motor sorry. Oh and some of the 3.8t gm motors are in the 6-7 range better do some research lol

and just so you all know, the class in this vid is street fighter and it limits the size of the domestics motor and allows only 1 power adder, whereas the imports are allowed 2 power adders. FYI that's my buddies mustang and it's only got a 306 cubic inch motor and it won the class this year. 8.0s @ 172 on a 275 50 drag radial

1. Top Fuel: Who fucking cares?!!!
2. Import car used a turbo: Who fucking cares?!!
3. Add ( FI part) to domestic car and import loses: Well the car didn't have it in this video so go fucking cry!!
4. Stock for Stock the import would lose: Well they are both not stock and the import won so cry yourself to sleep.
