@misellus7 I think he does. He has kinda.. well I dunno how to put it into words, but some kind of different growling technique that, according to me, sounds pretty much like Alexi. People say Alexi ''Got that voice by smoking a lot'', but I think thats crap. Everyone has a particular growling/screaming technique and I think they sound almost the same. Though, thats MY opinion, and I love both bands AND vocalists, so that doesen't really matter. : P

alexi screams with more treble in his voice but yes maybe there is a so small comparison that you´ll have to listen REAL good to hear it, a relation to the growl method but it is very small

I'm so glad Jimmy left the band and Antony joined. Antony is bringing back the sound of the real Nightrage and multiplying the awesomeness by ten. Same with the new drummer. And Jimmy started Dead By April which is also a great band and more suitable for Jimmy's vocals. Everything worked out perfectly =)

You have a massive point there. But i must ask you. Did you think that Jimmie had a bad voice that didn't fit to the band. Or was it just the singing/screaming? I think that the songs that Nightrage had with Jimmie were awesome. But like you said, it was not like old Nightrage. Thereby I am glad he started Dead by April since i love them too.. hihi.. but i think Dead by April is getting wayyy to popish now! Love their old demo songs though. :) What do you think?

i agree totally. the new dba stuff is getting too pop. and i thought some of the songs with jimmie were outstanding, especially spiral. i thought that a new disease is born sort of lacked consistency, mainly since only the first half of the album had clean vocals and the rest didnt. idk why but that bothered me for some reason. and there was nothing wrong with jimmies voice in nightrage, just that when i go to listen to nightrage, i want to hear nightrage =) thank you for sharing ur thoughts!!

This album holds my vote for Metal album of the year. It is an absolute fucking masterpiece on every level. Nightrage has evolved,and yet retained a high grade of there old school sound. A fucking definition of perfection.

i met Antony in person. He is a really cool guy. he performed guest vocals with Blackened Skies, a melo-death band from mesa, az. I talked to him after the show and he was very chill and down to earth. not to mention he has a great vocal style

Not at all, in fact i totally know where your coming from. This album is definitely heavily influenced by some old melodic death metal. It reminds me a lot of at the gates. Anyway, I like to think that Nightrage has there own sound. Also this is a message to everyone! if this video gets over 2500 views by next friday ill upload a better quality one. make sure its before Friday tho, i'm going away for a week.
