  • Can it run a 4x12? (or just a bigger cab then the stock)

  • All talk and no play, makes Johnny a bored musician. Guess I will plug in my shit and play.Rock on!

  • Where was the "Hi. I'm Paul Fromguitarworld."?

  • ya why play the amp we can tell how it sounds by looking at and hearing u talk about it

  • whats with all these gay promotional commercials before the videos?

  • Paul must be sitting on a really small stool because in real life, the Haze full stack is TINY. When I saw it at guitar center I was baffled at the small size. It's like 3 feet tall!!!

  • @hotgluefingerboard11 you must have been looking at the MG or something, the haze full stack is just over 4 ft tall. I think the MG micro is 3 ft or some shit--but that thing is a toy. but sitting next to a full size full-stack in guitar center.... you're right, the thing is tiny

  • @12ax7s you're probably right. I bet it was the MG if the Haze is actually taller

  • No kidding Sportsport. These new models absolutely SUCK! Why can't Marshall figure it out. It's funny, you think they'd have someone respond here.

They need to create ALL class A, or AB amps that are rated at 30-35 watts, using EL84 OR EL34 tubes, 12AX7's, solid state rectifiers, and variable power switching.

Think of an Orange Dual Terror - only in a Marshall. It wasn't difficult for Orange to figure it out, so why can't Marshall do this?

  • this is seriously the last place where i want to go and watch a fucking progressive insurance commercial

  • if im on the OD channel, can i still change the EQ`s???

  • @qlino1313 yes

  • 0:01

  • Why isn't the head 40 watt?

  • @sonatastrato because you touch yourself at night.

  • @TheMusicDude1997 And cum all over your mum

  • @sonatastrato lawl

  • hi i got already i haze amp but i look insinde and its only 2 ecc83 tube,,,,,,but i see a review its 3 ecc83 and 2 6v6 tube...hmmmmmmmmmm

  • can u pls tell that speaker if 8 ohm or 16 ohms...cuz i want only one cabinet and i want to change the speaker into vintage 30 celestion 16ohms or 8 ohm plz answer me....pls

  • @ichi612 16ohms

  • I fucking hate pre roll ads so much!!!

  • I'd be definitely happy if i have that amp

  • He looks strung out

  • so play the fucking thing!

  • it wasnt a review dude, it was just a presentage of the amp, chill dude

  • @MRWHITE3535 dude its playing in the background the whole time...did you turn your volume up?

  • @MRWHITE3535 this guitar world dude always put us on fire lol xD

  • how big is the cab?

  • 4x12?

  • Those are actually 1x12s, but this thing has a good amount of bottom, and sounds it's best through a 4x10, or even a 1x12 and a 1x10.

  • the day of the mini amp is just about over.. its like 7 string guitars; theres no need.

  • not really on the money about 7 string guitars ppl can rip on them and they sell, i don't see them gion anywhere

mini amps who am i too judge

  • just seems like another product to shove... it is cool to be able to own a high end name i.e. orange mesa marshall at low price. but it just wets your appetite for high end POWER. I sound like an idiot hugh? oh well...

  • The Haze 40 is a bad MF'er. Sounds better than my JCM900. i RUN IT INTO A 1960A cab with a processor in front of it and its fukn amazing. If Slash heard my set up he would be blown away

  • This guy is such a fuckin' loser. Can't stand his reviews and his playing is always whack no matter what gear he plays. He'll play surf on a ESP metal guitar with EMGs, and then play chug riffs on a semi-hollow body, never gives a good review for the guitars intended audience or purpose.

  • he does that to show the versatility man!

  • @mdragoonx He always gives both a clean and distorted demo with the guitars, and he'll play riffs and licks appropriate to whoever the guitar's intended audience is, ie an Ibanez Xiphos, and you play shred licks. You're not being fair at all, and it's better than just demoing one sound and one style. You sound like a dick, man.

  • He tries to demo different styles, but all the settings he uses on them sucks. His cleans sound sterile, his rock sounds too distorted, and his metal sounds completely lame. He tries to, but just ends up ruining it. Sorry Guitar World, your magazine sucks, hence why I don't subscribe anymore. Tired of all the bullshit "new" interviews about hendrix and a total lack of any kind of consistent theory method.

  • I agree with you, I like a lot of the oversea mags myself. (Guitar Techniques, Young Guitar, etc.) Half of a Guitar World mag just have interviews no one cares about, and these infomercials with a couple of gold lessons thrown in. Guitar One was way better, more lessons, and Guitar Techniques and mags like that just slay this one. Too much filler. That said, Paul is a damn great shredder in my book.

  • lot of people say they hate this amp, but lots of people say they love it, im going to try this soon, i was put of from the tiny terror because of the shit clean tone i hate all the other miniature heads though. I'll probably take this one

  • I heard that its cabinet sucks alot, which is the reason for it to sound like it sucks, if anyone is going to try this marshall haze head, try plugging it into some good cabinets

  • @Mngus1994 all of marshall's modern cabs are shit. go with an actual wood cab with either celestion vintage 30s or greenbacks

  • I'm looking to buy this amp. I play alot of Alternative do you think this is good for it?

  • Review it Plz....

  • Would it be good for some metal, like metallica, or children of bodom and such stuff?

  • I doubt it, you'd want a pedal to get past anything beyond a strong rock tone.

  • if u play metallica and stuff, it would be better if you can get a mesa boogie or a peavey valveking

Marshall is better for hard rock like guns n roses and stuff

  • probs not, for that you should get a mesa dual rectifier

  • This amp can be outrageously loud if you want it to be, pretty good for small gigs. Has a very muddy tone though. And marshall please stop adding in crappy effects on valve amps and put a presence control instead!

  • I agree with you on the effects part. But I think the majority of the muddyness comes from the cabs. The cabs are awful. I think if you plugged into a 4x12 with greenbacks or the 30 watt speakers, It would actually be really nice. Just an overpriced amp IMO.

  • ive played this amp and i dont like it at all.

  • I don't really like this tweaky amp

  • Yeh it looks really good but what dosent is the price tag £670 on the cheapest UK website No thanks marshall i have a 100 watt combo and a JCM900 from marshall and im really looking for a smalll valve amp for practicing i think this is aimed at that market but when a blackheart 15watt head and cab is like £160 for both this seems not worth it.

  • Totally agree with you mate. I'm am also looking for a new practice amp. Saw this thought yep, That looks like it might do the job. Then I saw the price tag...No thanks.

  • lol =P

for practicin combo amps are prob better.

  • $1000.00

  • that amp combo sounds really good

  • @UnconciousHippie is not a combo, is a mini stack.

  • how tall is it?

  • Paul looks so much better with beardsies.

  • you raging homo

  • it's not 1200 i don't think, maybe for the whole stack, but it's 700 for the 40watt combo, and5 or 600 for head

  • I hate so much Celestion speakers...

  • how would one of these do for pop-punk? Andif they wouldn't anyone know a good amp setup for playing live pop-punk for under 1200?

  • 1200 what? £? $?

If you can spend up to £1200 look up at some VOX/

  • $1200

  • Of COURSE I love the higher gain JCM or JVM but this is wonderful blues. I love it

  • i prefer the haze 40

  • it's just sitting right there, just fucking play through it, everyone can get features from a million different sources, we wanna HEAR IT!!!

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • I own 2 marshalls, and my Limited Edition Blue tolex 30th anniversary 6101 combo is the best sounding marshall i believe they've ever made. I'm looking for the blue extension cab to complete the rig.

  • I always laugh when people talk about Jimmy Page's sound. People will say they have a Marshall that sounds exactly like Jimmy Page's Marshall. Jimmy Page a 25 Watt Supro Thunderbolt on the first two albums, not a Marshall. Hendrix was known to use this amp as well. Also, Page would do several tracks for his guitar pieces, each one with the mic placed in a different spot. He has been known to record with some mics 15 feet away from the amp. Even if you had his amp, it will not be the same.

  • Yeah, hell page said so himself!

  • I always ask myself: 'what is tone when it comes to an amp'? If you have ever done any studio work you would know that the quality of the mic being used is a huge part of the sound of a recording. If you have the best amp in the world but you have a poor mic, then you will not have a good sound. Plus, even if you have a great amp and a great mic; just where you place the mic changes the sound. Furthermore, how the song is mixed changes the sound. It is too complex.

  • Can use the head with out any speakers?

  • nope

  • @tab1990 sorry but stupid question.

  • buy the line 6 spider valve Hd100 Best amp ever!

  • don't... invest in a great all tube amp

  • This is an ALL-TUBE amp???

  • Notice how none of the seasoned pros use Line 6 and digital effects built into their amps? Because they aren't the best amps ever. There is no way it can compete with Hughes & Kettner TriAmp MkII, that of similar amps. It's okay if you like it, but saying it's the best amp ever is an outright lie.

  • Meshuggah uses line 6 vettas. Vettas are some of the best amps around, idiot.

  • I've never heard of them, but I (and most of the guitar community who care about tone) do not use Line 6

  • I have a Stomp box...with a small 15 wat amp. Buying a tub amp soon but not sure what to get. Any suggestions?

  • What kind of guitar do you have and what kind of music do you play?

  • I have a SG, also i'm going to buy myself a new AF 86 from Ibanez. I play hard rock/ blues/ rock/ metal...stuff like that.

  • Have a look at some of the smaller oranges, or the vox30's. Eggnators are also decent and affordable.

  • Cool, I'm looking for something affordable but worth the money. Like an orange amp...I heard page likes those too. But I just like the sound.

  • ok, thewords affordable, and orange amplifeirs. Should only be in the same sentence if theres the words" isn't " or " aren't" are between them

  • LOL Really? I thought it was around $800 or so for a pretty good one...like for average people.

  • at my guitr dealer, you can get a Peavey Halfstack i think its a 5150, but maybe not. with matching peavey cabs, for a less price then just the cabinet alone for the orange...

  • Really? DAMN! I wonder how much it would cost.

  • ita 1000 for the whole stack

  • Really? Thats a good price, but I need to save up 1000 for a guitar and a school trip. So yeah, its gonna be hard to save up 2 grand =/

  • The Orange 4x12 cabs are very expensive indeed.

Of course, you could buy a Dual Terror for less than that and get one of the smaller 1x12 or 2x12 cabs for much cheaper than the 4x12. The Dual Terror is sick, not loud enough (unless you use the PA) for an arena but it's still sick.

  • but for the guitar noob, its the cheapest amp with the most bang for their noob bucks

  • i own one and it sounds amzing for 600 bucks. I still like the JVM 4 channel combo more.

  • it's not made in China is it?

  • is that 600 american or canadian?

  • american.

  • @JamesG335 yeah it got 4 tubes on it.

  • Marshall is like Gibson now. They used to be so authentic and meaningful. But it's a manifestation of corporate ideologies and money making ventures now. So many different models, lower quality and maximum profit!

  • How many Marshalls and Gibsons have you owned? The Marshall Vintage Modern is good, really good. Most guys who make a big deal out of equipment are poor players and think they need some 'Holy Grail" piece of equipment to make them better. All those top amps are good. The sound is in your hands.

  • you have to start at 1000 Dollars or Euros for a good tube amp :-( don't have so much money but i can wait

  • Thats not really true. You can start around 500 and pick up some really great sounding amps. A lot of Fender's including the Hot Rod Series, Crate is making some really nice affordable tube amps these days, the Vox Ac-15, the Blackheart amps (which in my opinion match Marshall in sound.) It all depends on whatyou are looking for. The only reason you need 1,000$ + is if you want to buy an amp with the Marshall name on it.

  • i agree

but on stage something bigger than 15 watt [what is actually pretty loud] you need earlier or later

  • Blackstar Ht5 blows this thing out of the water.

  • Im a fellow Blackstar Player/Lover. I think Blackstar should be known as Marshall Slayers ha ha!!.

  • Yeah ham. Played one at a music shop earlier this month and now it's all i can think about.

  • @scorpia616 Totally, i am crazy about Blackstar products.

  • Paul should continue growing that facial hair, he'd look 10x more manly. Great guitar player nevertheless.

  • Paul doesn't look happy.

  • I can't figure why, what's the downside of a job like that??

  • will u ever sell 5150?
