I'm trying to understand why exactly they put an actual DQ title on the DS. Dont get me wrong, its cool and all, but...why not the PS3 or 360 (God no...not the 360 O_o)? The DS is great for the remakes, but I dont think that a title in the actual series belongs on a hand held console. It just doesn't seem...right.

Well Dragon Quest X is coming to Wii.

Personally I don't care though because I have a DS and A Wii. And me being a dragon quest fan thats good for me.

Its not big deal to me, either, its just unusual for them to put a game in the actual series on a handheld console, and not as a remake either.

Why does this game have to have cinematic cutscenes? Dragon Quest is not supposed to have cinematics, I knew DQ8 went too far because it opened up the possibility of this happening.

Dragon Quest shouldn't have these kind of cutscenes at all, it is the only true old school RPG series left, we cann't lose it to next gen like graphics and cutscenes.

Check the video response. That one is the video of the actual TGS event, with no edits. It is difficult to hear the music in that one due to all of the talking, yelling, and clapping.

This one has the sound clip (taken from a different event) imposed on the video so that you can clearly hear the music.

Man, this game is definitely looking like one of the best games of this gen. Just like DQVIII of last. Let's just hope they fix the horrible localization and translation junk they're doing to Dragon Quest outside of Japan before it comes. Heck, let's hope they get the message and fix everything before DQV gets released internationally!

I agree, I think this game will better represent DQ because the characters actually look like they would be in a DQ world as opposed to the Dragon Ball Z reject hero and friends from VIII.

PSX was huge in Japan of course. But with the almost fanatic sales rates of DS systems and games in Japan and their less than stellar of the console market right now, I think DQIX might be set up for the #1 best selling game in Japans history. Not only that, its been on the top of nearly all of the #1 'most wanted' lists off and on since its announcement over there. With NO coverage.
