If I had all the money I every wanted, I would pay you millions of dollars every month to just sit in my house and play your guitar at random times throughout my day. I can't stop watching your videos, well done. I applaud the hard work that you have put in to your craft and am now depressed that I gave up on the violin so many years ago.
@Klaverenga If I can have anything I want, I want to marry you! How's that compared to having all the money in the world by tuelis? No, just kidding; I love tuelis' comment! You're a talented guitarist, and I am sure you can only get better with time. Thanks for all your posting! Best wishes!
Beautiful performance of this marvellous piece of music.I love the little rasguedos you introduce now and then to give it maximum feeling.I think that this is by far the best version posted on You Tube. You are brilliant!
Hey I recall that you asked David Russell a question in the GFA forums about nail shaping, he said that he'll have to see your nails in order to give you tips. Did you see him? And if you did, what tips did he give you? Thank you Chaconne, and great job playing.
nice yes....I learned a few things in your video and few things in your replies...thanks for the picking angle filing advice and the silk cloth reinforcement tip..the arm band to keep from getting a wood bruised forearm is...pretty sharp...do you use that arm band under your sleeve in competition? schweeeeet!!
I wear one only if I'm wearing a dress (which almost don't come with long sleeves anymore) in competition. That's my best-looking arm sock. All of my others are really unraveled and full of holes!
Well I'm always constantly changing my shapes, but for right now I have a certain shape that you get by filing at a 110 degree angle; the file in the direction of the string. I also file off the left edges (I have hooked nails)so they won't catch, and it makes a slight ramp. One of the mistakes I always made was to file straight up and down, but the file should be a little more angled. I also use about two layers of silk with a special glue called Bondini glue.

Hey Chaconne, I'm from South Africa and wanted to know where you get these 'arm socks' from......
Do you order them online? Always found them fascinating and wanted to try one.

You are an amazing guitarist ( already a virt )and a very beautiful girl.
It will be a surprise if you don't go on to be one the best guitarists ever.
In case you don't know , your name comes through music ,from a place in Peloponnese called Chaconia.

Is Your prename, Chaconne, in a predecessor relation to " J.S. Bach: Chaconne In D Minor BWV 1004 " ?
ssvalhall 3 years ago 7
Yes, it is. I can also play it too, and I'm in the final stages of learning it right now.

It made me speechless. I just had my very tiny
dance music BWV 806-11 for this composer added.
Still breathless ...: Can't wait till You play.
Thanks in advance!

Nice.
I have a question.
What length and shaping of nail do you typically play with?
unvmoi 3 years ago 4
Hey!
Well I'm always constantly changing my shapes, but for right now I have a certain shape that you get by filing at a 110 degree angle; the file in the direction of the string. I also file off the left edges (I have hooked nails)so they won't catch, and it makes a slight ramp. Hope that helps!
