  • hey i dyed my hair brown and it didnt take to well the roots took but the ends didnt so i want to go back to jet black, so my ? is can i put this semi permanent over the dye? or should i wait

  • That leave-in conditioner is good but the packet needs to be a little bigger.

  • okaay so im going to relax my hair today & in about 6 days later im going to dye my hair with dark & lovely brown cinnamon is that fine ?

  • @peaceeeoutttt I'm assuming as long as you are using the one I'm refering to in the video you should be fine. Make sure to read the package though =)

  • @peaceeeoutttt you must wait at least to weeks to prevent hair breakage

  • should u relaxer first or color

  • @nishnishbabes Relax first

  • is there a waiting period to coloring your hair after permnig?because I have an s-curl and I'm thinkin' about coloring mine

  • For crying out loud - why do some posters on here keep trying to scare others? I have relaxed my hair one day then dyed it the next many times before and my hair never fell out. In fact, there was one time I relaxed my hair one day, dyed it the next, decided I didn't like the color, and then dyed it again the next day! And guess what? It never fell out!

  • @SoXfused Okay, but seriously, it is because so many people go bald doing that. You are truly blessed to have done that many chemical processes to yourself in a week and still have hair.

  • @SoXfused i was wondering what products did you use to color your hair ? what name brands ? and was it permanent or semi permanent ? i'm a hair stylist and i'm just trying get info and want to learn more about the do's and don't about perms. I would like to know more, because in beauty school they made it sound like we were working with anthrax for something. I know it's not true, as long as your careful and work fast you're alright.

  • @missbish When I used to color my hair, I used any of the box dyes that they sell in stores - no specific brand and I used Optimum Care relaxer. Like I said, I've straightened my hair many times and then dyed it the next day. I used permanent dyes. As long as it's dye and not bleach and you don't exceed the time limits then you'll be fine :)

  • Whats a good PERMANENT hair color one can use right after relaxing ones hair, and a cololr that will cover gray hairs 100%.

  • if the colour that you are using doesn't have ammonium in it your okay

  • I think rinses are okay, but permanent is a different story. Your hair have to be in good healthy period to get either one. Rinse to me make my hair soft, and gives body. ( use it after you perm with healthy hair ) I think you should wait a month after a relaxer,if your going to permanently relax your hair, because it gives your hair time to strengthen. You can't keep dying your hair 27 times a year,or your hair will be dry, fried, and on the floor. I have healthy, blonde, relaxed hair,so I know. lol

  • youb CAN NOT relax and colour, wether its a rinse or permanent, in the same day. Its toooo much damage, and the persons hair is gonna start falling out

  • @rudegyal321 So what should U do first? relax, then wait approx 2-4 wks, then color, or vice versa??

  • @knowledgeispowerfful

i would relaxed and wait up to probably 4 weeks before colouring :)

    hope this helps!

  • huh?

  • You are absolutly right about this product this is the one that I use to when I use to dye my hair by my self until I decide it to change the color.the This video is very informative keep up the good work

  • When you wash your hair, does alot of color come out at once?! And does it make your hair dry??

  • what does that mean to relaxe your hair?

  • Relaxer and perm are the same thing. :)

  • I was thinking of doing the japenese hair straightening thing but it costs a TON of money like 400 bucks, but u only have to get it down every 6 months..

  • Yeah, But many people don't call it relaxing, they call it perming, they think of it as if black people perm it goes straight, white people perm it goes curly, but yeah it IS called relaxing.

  • @ThornellianKingdom everybody relaxes there hair, my mom know latino, and even white caucasian women who relax there hair

  • Relaxing and "perming" is the same thing actually. "Perm" is just short for "permanent". So you can permanent;y straighten your hair or permanently curl your hair. It's just slang and regions that determine how you use the words.

    For anyone who wondered.

  • I don't know about you but every woman I know, knows the different between straight perms and curly perms. It's a regional thing and about slang. I have walked into a salon and said I wanted a perm and walked out with very straight hair. I usually (not always) do my perms myself and will walk into a beauty store and ask where the perms are and I am shown to the relaxers. Like I said, it's slang.

BTW, look up the word "perm" it will give you both definitions, straight and curly.

  • So basically I just proved you wrong and the only way to redeem yourself is to insult me and then claim to be "bored". LOL. You're wrong, accept it like an adult and move the hell on. I mean seriously it's crap like this that's what's wrong with the world. Sounds extreme but it's true. Think about what you say before you say it. Do research and if you're wrong then be gracious and accept it. There's no need to act like a toddler. Seriously. It's not even called for. It just opinion, not law.

  • It has nothing to do with chemistry. The point of this is flying right over your head. You and I agree that straightening and curling your hair are two very different things. What I'm trying to explain to you is colloquialisms. In certain regions people refer to both as perms. IDK why it's even an issue. Just accept it and move on, like I said. And how can you take classes on something and not have to do research on it? Thinking like that will only help you fail your courses.

  • Oh and I may not study beauty but uh... I'm a physics major. Chem is a prerequisite. I know the fundamentals of chemicals and did my own research on what goes into the chemicals I use on my hair and how they interact with my hair. I've been doing my own hair for years. I probably know as much as you do. So let's not even take it there with the "stupid" comment. I may surf Youtube but at the end of the day I'll have a degree in physics and you'll be a beautician. Think about that...

  • Look at this: "dabadestceecee People on youtube are hilarious. She made no sense at all XD I keep reading it cause im tryna figure out where she tryna say? Is she tryna insult me or what cause we laughing lmao "

Are you seriously trying to reason with someone who talks like that??? lol Why bother shes fucking stupid!!!!

  • I NEVER said that relaxing and perming WEREN'T chemical processes. WTF?? Are you trying to be smart right now or do you just not have good reading comprehension skills? The issue isn't about chemicals. We AGREE on that, duh!! The issue is slang and local speak and colloquialisms. And for some reason you keep deflecting those issues so I'm going to assume that you just can't understand what I'm saying...

  • SEMI- PERMANENT don't have chemicals in it........

  • why are people giving this a thumbs down its true

  • ignorance?

  • News break hon, I'm not the one giving you the thumbs down. Maybe other people can see that you have trouble understanding the conversation. I never once disagreed with you about perms/relaxers being chemical or two different things. I was attempting to explain to you that in slang terms people refer to relaxers as both perms and relaxer. I just can't get why you can't understand what I mean. It's pretty simple. You keep twisting it into a debate about chemicals when that's not even the issue.

  • *sigh* I never twisted it into a debate. I really dont care anymore... Like i said im not gonna disrespect this lady video anymore. You guys can put as many thumbs downs as u want. I know what im saying so thats all that matters

  • your my hero MoonFaeries...having brains is so sexy

  • :-D

  • @08onlyalicia80 let me educate you on one thing a relaxer makes your hair straight a perm makes your hair curly. Whoever chemically straightens their here is getting a relaxer not a perm dummy.

  • @08onlyalicia80 nooo

  • perm it

  • glad I could help. =)

  • thanks for this product information. I don't have relaxed hair but my friend does and she is always trying to calculate the best time to dye her hair so I'm going to let her know about this.
