Man this is an old recording! Please check out my ones. Almost forgot I had this up. The ending I play is from Bach's manuscript. The only pianist I have heard play it like that is Bernard Roberts.
There is no measure missing. I just read 3 editions plus Bach's own hand written facsimile and nothing is missing. I also played it on the piano with this video with different editions and you are incorrect. I think you are hearing a common dynamic change at bar 32 from poco F+ to P+. I believe it is creating an illusion in your mind's ear.Google Siglind Bruhn's Home Page to understand my reference on the dynamics. What edition are you reading from?
LVB is right there isnt a measure missing im guessing you juss have to play for quite some time to understand and notice the change of c major into some flats
btw LVB maybe its just the mircophone you're using but i cant hear the piano and forte parts.
I believe you are referring the fugue. I did not post the fugue just the prelude. I just listened and followed it with the score and all 35 measures of the
prelude are there. You should check out my newer post of this.
my 2twin 3yr olds and i were watching you play , and wow i've never seen them this quite when there together only if there sleeping the house is this calm that was great. now i know what to play if i want them to calm down .
hmm I've it MUCH slower and I enjoy that tempo much more...this is too fast for me...I like it to be slower...but you made it perfectly...it took me a lil while to get it ha-ha-ha
Funny. Thanks! I play it at many different tempi. You would probably like Vladimir Ashkenazy's version. He is on the slower side. It is actually harder to play slower.
Actually no. I find fuges difficult and time consuming to learn. I have many different recordings of pianists and have read a few musical analysis papers on the piece.more playing below.
if you have a mathematical mind, i'd suggest biting the bullet and starting to learn baroque fugues one after the other, bach's in particular. it improves your sight reading like you wouldn't believe, and it's great for developing your phrasing technique. and it excercises your brain :)
Thanks so much!I'm Not a teacher I played for 3 years in my twenties and started playing again almost to years ago. I will re posting new video with my Yamaha C3 6'1. It is a beautiful instrument. See more palying below.

Good job played with emotion. The sustained rhythm with the low notes and repetiveness sounds like the beat of a heat

I have a newer version in my videos with a much better piano. I thinks it is also a better interpretation.
