  • I just wanted to say thank you for all of your videos. You are always so intelligent and well spoken. I can always count on you to offer clear, logical, and level headed advice on trans topics. I have recently started using a home IPL device, and am begining to see some results. I have been thinking a lot lately about getting on an androgen blocker. My hair loss has recently increased, and I would like to stop it. Unfortunately, I do not have a doctor, or insurance. Any suggestions?

  • @AutumnPath3 If you're in the US, you can get hormones and anti-androgens online pretty easily. What you can do is start on your own and then look into finding a doctor who will prescribe it and follow you.

  • @TrannyGirl15 you are a star !

  • The world can be so weird sometimes.

  • It gave me some facial hair that was unwanted and patchy. I use a tweezy on them. Hope they go away, Some new hair has started but is still thin in some spots.

  • wow thanks far answering quickly. Although transplants are not viable yet as my hair has thinned "globally"from a one year chronic MRSA staph infection and also 2 months of heavy cortical steroids for severe allergic reactions.I'm planning on a scalp advancement L8R but now am just concerned with stimulating hair regrowth to speed up the natural healing process. It was almost bad enough that I did not want to live for a while,Now however I'm doing anything I can to live.Baldness is death to me.

  • @WheedWhack3R Well, topical minoxydil is apparently fairly effective at promoting hair regrowth. Just make sure you get the generic stuff, it's much less expensive... And get the men's minoxydil. The women's stuff is the same thing at a lower concentration.

  • I am starting transition and Have had some MPB and patchy baldness related to severe illness. Some has come back other places are still patchy. overall I lost 1/3 of my hair through out my scalp. I am on dutasteride/avodart and taking spiro 200/MG and 6MG oestradiol / 3 MG norethisterone orally every day. I will soon be switching to 5mg conjugated estrogen daily without Progesterone and or injecttion. Any thoughts would be appreciated. 24 MTF 2 months in to HRT and 2 days into Dutasteride.

  • @WheedWhack3R Outside of minoxydil and hair grafts, I don't know. I'd advise consulting an expect. You can get pretty good results with hair grafts.

  • If you've got the topical minoxidil, use it. For someone with your skin type, the odds of growing unwanted hair are slim to none. If you were black, the odds would be high.

Now, if your minoxidil is meant to be taken orally, don't do it! It may regrow hair on your scalp, but it is just as likely to grow more body hair, like on your back.

  • hellow tranny by the way im jerry a cross dresser ahmmm

i was amaze in u dears

u know i want to remove my hair too but is it safe

i really want to see ur legs if it is good

  • You are beautiful! I just started IPL treatment in my legs, I would like to know how long it took you to see some results in your diferents treatments.

    Thanks

  • With IPL? Not long, 2-3 sessions. That being said, I still haven't managed to get rid of all facial hair.

  • I didn't use minoxidil much, I had the impression that it made me grow a few extra hairs around my eyebrow/temple area, and that was enough to make me stop using it.

You should probably look into propecia/proscar, if you're thinking of transitioning at some point

  • I always had problem with stubborn hair. I got the NoNo on a free trial from 'gratismakeupsamples' - does the job really well. Im really happy with it.

  • thank you for your wid... I am a MtF transsexual with hair loss concerns. My hair was good until I turned 42, but after than my hair started to fall off. My transition started at 43 with HRT, yet I did not notice any improvement in my hair at all; the loss continued. At 44, I started propecia but the hair keeps falling off. I am now 46. Now, I need to take serious action. Do you think by removing my balls will stop this? BTW, you hair look just fine.

    Thanks, Malin

  • I would recommend you consult an expert. Male pattern balding begins at puberty, not at 42. Your balding may be caused by something else.

  • i know exactly what u mean about the only shaving once a week, i have to do that now cause my face is so sensative, and i feel like the razor just chops my face up and it doesn't even have to rub against my face that much, waxing is inaffective too, and i wish i could start my lasor hair removal before hormones, but i have no job and can't afford any treatments :( i'm kinda in a slump now

  • Comment removed

  • I kind of doubt that, honestly.

  • ...sorry, forgot to add this....

...and anyways...some born women's hair lines are further back than yours, even mine!!!

  • hey...since you have hardly any facial hair...you could use facial hairremoval cream...there must be some that is for sensitive skin...my hair line is not as good as it used to be when i was 11years old...but...it only came out because i used gel in my hair to control it when i started growing...im 19 now...and i looks worse than it is...

  • I tried facial heir removal cream, gave me chemical burns, only removed half the hair, and it's obviously not permanent. I don't think it's a very good solution.

  • The only hair removal cream with thorough documentation is Vaniqa. Unfortunately it's not available in Denmark.

  • if your skin is like yellow/pale brown and hair black will it work?

  • im concerned, im 18 and im wan t to transition, but im nervous about my hair. its quite masculine and grows upwards. Is there anything i can do to gain more femanine hair? (like your self)

  • I talk about that in the second part of the video!

  • sorry bout that :) ill rewatch

  • i also can only shave like 1 time a week :/

    it kills me

  • Hi

Thanks for the video, but I had a horrible time with Laser. I spent over $2000 on laser, and two months later it was back, like it was before. Now I'm on the regular electrolysis.

  • Hi, thank you so much for the information, I actually have gone for three laser hair removal treatments so far and I have been very pleased with the results...I have been shaving for 22 years every day now only once every four days and like you....my chin seems to have still some growth...I was told to go through 9 treatments and am still very excited abotu it...

good luck and please keep the videos coming.

    thanks

    cassie

  • Interesting, especially your mention of IPL. A Danish metaanalysis including split-face RCT's concluded IPL had no documentable effect after six months in biological females. They recommended alexandrite- or diodelaser. I hope your results will last.

  • It's worked much better than the outdated laser equipment I tried before.

  • congrats for making to move to HD!

  • My understanding is that the minoxodil topical solution has to come in contact with the area surrounding the hair in order to possibly make it grow better. In order for hair to become more visible in the middle of your forehead either the solution would have ran down your forehead or you touched that spot with the solution on your fingers.

  • I've been told by people who have undergone laser hair removal, facial hair can return after a few years. Health Canada also does not list laser hair treatments as true hair removal, only a reduction. Electrolysis is the only proven hair removal process, according to Health Canada. However, certain versions of electrolysis (thermolysis) can produce scaring or a permanent five o'clock shadow effect, that cannot be removed!

  • I believe when you have a male hormone balance, you can always regrow hair. In my experience though, hair removed by laser hasn't returned. You should keep in mind laser and electrolysis are based on the same fundamental principle. They both aim to burn the root of your hairs. Laser just stops being efficient when your hair is too pale, that's its main disadvantage in my opinion.

  • I start my laser treatment this Friday. Like you, I am starting this before the hormones which will hopefully start within the next few months. Thanks for the video

  • One important thing to keep in mind is that baldness is actually common in both sexes.

  • Great info there. I am going for my first laser hair removal consultation next week. I am anxious to get started.

  • Hi, I will have to use a wig. I am willing to spend whatever it takes to get a good look. Have you seen a lot of TG/TS with wigs? How did they look?

  • Mostly people early in their transition. Unfortunately, you can almost always tell it's a wig, but then that's probably because it's not a high quality one. If you're willing to invest, I would advise you consult a wig specialist in a wig shop, if possible. They might be able to make something custom just for you.

  • Could you speak about Montreal as it concerns the TG community? What's its level of acceptance? What services such as therapy, surgery are available?Employment and renting issues?

    Thank you for sharing! Merci!

  • Montreal is a very accepting place for a trans person. We're also very fortunate in having Canada's only SRS clinic, as well as the yearly trans pride day.

There are, of course, bad apples everywhere in the world, however, the law does protect against discrimination based on gender identity.

  • why do u shave?? it doesnt feel feminine.

    did u try waxing?

I just started IPL, hurts a little, but I dont have to wax my face as much. I actually get bad reaction towards waxing (acne, scars), so IPL is nice.

  • Im going to laser hair removal its good and it makes my skin softer but i also get microdermabration and its suppose to remove skin layes off my face to make it smoother

  • Thank you for the information, I appreciate it very much. I seem to learn more and more by watching your videos!

  • Thank you, this is very instructive. Many greetings from Luxembourg.

  • she is a partner now, so there's pretty much no time limit.

  • ive been getting electrolysis and its worked the best for me so far. as for body hair though, that would take a life time. so ive been thinking about laser.

  • Unless you were using some different form of electrolysis to myself it isn't so much an electrical discharge as a chemical reaction.

Lye is released through the needle, and a pad with hydrochloric acid is attached to your arm.

The pain can be horrible, but I usually use the chance to concentrate on my breath and meditate, and its not a problem.
