I always thought it strange as a child that when the DIC logo came up after my morning cartoons, it was dark out and the kid was sleeping. It was daytime for crying out loud. I thought maybe it was a different country. {rolls eyes}

I remember watching the DiC "Kid in Bed" one all the time (It came on after EVERYTHING) - I always expected one of his toys to jump down and start choking him or something. No idea why.

the third DIC logo was a logo I remember, born in 89! used to come on and I was blind and my mom would tell me the company logo. booyah! what shows did that 3rd one come after? but oh no the v of doom! and that PBS sounds like donkey kong at the beginning

The best Dic logo was at 25 seconds. That's from the Sonic SatAM , Adventures of Sonic , and Hetcliff the Cat. It will always be remembered from my childhood.

ONe thing I don't understand is what was the hype about shining synthy logos during 80s and early 90s? I would ahve been creeped out by them if ?I saw them. They play 20 seconds of synth music with electric drums, then when the music goes silent they sit there for another 20 seconds just shining.

The bedroom ones made me a little uncomfortable, but now it really seems inappropriate. The old PBS creeped me out, but I didn't see much of it. I absolutely despised the big freakin V, and never have seen the big freakin' S before.

Ok...I like the 'kid in bed' and Inspector Gadget DiC logos; I love the Hanna Barbara swirly star; I remember the coca cola telecommunications one--I believe it used to come on after episodes of Punky Brewster; The PBS music/logo was weird to me, but not scary, the screen gems one was b4 my time, but I don't see anything scary about it. The same goes for the viacom logo..

I LOVED THOSE DiC LOGOS BECAUSE I LIKED THE MUSIC TO EVERY ONE OF THEM. ALSO, THE "KID IN BED" LOGO WAS VERY INNOVATIVE, EVEN FOR THE LATE 1980'S AND EARLY 1990'S(1987-1994).

Oh wow, yeah! The slime covered hand with that dreadful kettle-drum dirge going on in the background...like RIGHT AFTER that "Dragnet" episode when that toddler drowns in the tub because her parents were smoking marijuana and the woman (in the "just deserts" part at the end) goes bonkers and they send her to the looney bin! Those were the days of television that ensured sweet dreams.

Even though DiC made a lot of crappy cartoons, their logos were okay. (They should've stuck with the "boy in bed" jingles from the late 80's.)
