hi, he has his guitar tuned down two frets! gives you a bit more range with an acoustic and also is easier to play standard tuning because the frets are closer ie, when capo is on second fret its standard eadgbe.

@thematt590 because if the guitar was in standard tuning he would only need the capo on the first. since its tuned 2 frets lower you need to capo the 2nd to bring the guitar back to standard again. its a really good trick and i use it too! it lets you play lower tones!
