Agreed.... Absolutely nothing wrong W/ using a lazy Susan. The intent here was to demo a possible alternative. Of course what figures heavily into this option being viable, is having access to a camera tripod (or its equivalent). If the answer is no, then a lazy Susan is probably an option to be considered.
On the other-hand if you have the materials shown, this solution allows you to check not only gyro setup but cyclic too
a lazy susan would work real nice too mate i got a coupla vids of me using one ;)

No problem... Two that you might have missed, is the Extreme frame stiffener & Belt-CP upper rotor components. IMO, both worth their cost
