Sometimes i think of a line ...like "we have just one world, but we live in different ones" And i try to remember where it was from, was it from a movie i had seen when i was little? Or from a poem? Or was it something i said? I would not be surprised if someone says "thats what my grandfather used to say" ....something like that. This man and his songs always created "special moments" for me. @MrBillyLaw No question, Miami Vice was incredible cool, for it's time. One of the things that really separated that show from others, at the time, is they used REAL music. Not lame cover versions performed by lounge bands, like most shows did. They used powerful music and enhanced story lines - with the help of music. Oh, what an awesome show Miami Vice was... Some people think it's a bit hokey nowadays, and in some ways it is, but it was groundbreaking at the time...

This is an example of a true musician, someone that can write music, co-ordinate a band and spend countless hours tweaking and honing such a masterpiece. Bizzare but i can assure you true most friday nights they used to play BIA about 50 times.

DS world tour in i think 84 / 85 radio baghdad actually said DS would play in baghdad then Sadam realised MK's heritage and could not allow it especially after DS played Tel Aviv during the tour.

So there you are another bit of DS / MK trivia from that golden age.

Just the sound of that guitar, live, is something you have to hear to appreciate.

So loud, so powerful, and yet so delicate at the same time.

I managed to get right to the front row, in a large stadium, a couple of metres in front of Mr. K.

A truly amazing sound. You had to be there to really appreciate Dire Straits.

These videos on Youtube just serve as reminders of how good that 'sound' really was.
