Chav, Chava or Charva is a derogatory term applied to certain young people in the United Kingdom. The stereotypical image of a chav is a white aggressive teen or young adult, of working class background, who wears branded sports and casual clothing, who often fights and engages in petty criminality, and is often assumed to be unemployed or in a low paid job.
It's basically white kids that think they're punks and badass LOL. It's making it's way to the states, if kids are into it here, they call cigarettes fags and pick up other random UK words. It's basically a mixture of "punk" and "gangster" loser poser-ness.
