RIGHT ON BROTHER!!! That totally rocked. This is what music is about, not that assembly line trash that they're shoving down our throats on the airways right now. Nice compilation, taking the song and remastering it in your own way. Korn did this song justice too, but it was merely a copycat, unlike what you've done with it. Awesome!
dude, you're a monster! seriously. this is my favorite song and cameo is my favorite band -- saw them live here in tokyo two months ago -- and you absolutely managed to come up with a great funky version all your own. massive respect!
I'm probably the worst person to ask, I don't use tabs, just chord progressions... and those I usually figure out by ear. I can tell you that the chords that I play are *** Em - G - A ***. Nothing fancy. Besides, the arrangement I play is a little different than the original (or the versions by Korn or Gun), and overall, I'm not THAT GOOD on guitar, I just enjoy playing, so you'd probably be better off checking with the GOOD guitarists on YouTube! Good Luck!
Nah this one isnt tragic - right now im doing a slow version of rick astley.. truth be told i like being rickrolled - dont tell my metal friends lol..... and Irene Cara "what a feeling"
That's cool, I was always misunderstood by my "genre friends" (people who only listen to ONE style of music, YAWN!) I was laughed at while attending Ozzfest '97 for wearing a tie-died shirt, and at a Grateful Dead show for wearing combat boots in '95... so what if I like Billy Joel, Motorhead AND Public Enemy! Let 'em deal with it! Heck, they pulled a 'Rick-Roll' at the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in NYC and both my Mom and I found it hilarious (I clued her into the 'RR' thing days earlier!)
Thanx, glad you enjoyed it, but nervous? Def not! I guess it might appear so since I was a little out of breath, this was my 3rd take of the song... my cat kept jumping up in front of the camera! btw, I'm glad (and a little surprised) to see so many views from the Baltic region, very cool!
wasnt what i expected to find, but i really dig it !!, keep up the good work tenatious d !!

i found this while looking for tragic 80's songs to learn/cover on guitar. I like your style :D
lilmisslacey 3 years ago 2
Thanx! I don't know how TRAGIC the song is, although the 'codpiece' that singer Larry Blackmon wore in the video was pretty horrific.

I just had to explain what a rickroll was to my mother ... her response "oh i loved that song"
I subscribed btw - im not much of a vlogger.. used to be, im more of a written journal type
