I agree with 98al00an. It's the highest compliment when someone loves your song enough to want to sing it. It's obvious Michael likes & respects Freddie. I think he did a great job. He's not trying to be Freddie-Michael has his own style. Freddie Mercury has his place in music history. The expletives are not necessary. If no one wanted to sing Freddie's songs then new generations may not know him. Original artists' song sales always go up after their song is sung on Idol.

Well, I do agree that American Idol totally lost the real spirit of the show, but that guy was too good to be on a TV show, he should join a band!! And remember that the only guy/ girl that gets screwed in the end is the big winner cause they're being offered the "easy way" to get to the top.. And when people are starting to get "bored", they loose the good reputation & that's the end for them after 2 years. At least in france, it's that way. Only the 2nd one gets the chance of his/ her life..
