i don't like the player's in Days of ruin but i adore their themes much better than in dual strike. I miss Jugger and Koal already since they are a lot funnier than caulder and tabitha.

If Days of Ruin had not had the advance wars tag, I would have thought it was quite good. As it is, I hate it for replacing the awesome characters of the first three games with depressed emo people. Miss the old cast a lot, and now they're probably never going to make another game with these guys. Way to wipe out half a fanbase, Nintendo.

I agree with the cast. Personally I liked the more serious tone just as much as the original. Not the STORY or their PERSONALITIES, just the seriousness of it. Being in a post-apocalyptic setting is just a cool thing for me. Plus the game made me really value units more because they constantly reminded you of how little people you had and every unit was precious. As opposed to DS where sometimes I went "SACRIFICES MUST BE MADE LAWL *blocks with infantry*"

I think the one Eagle/Sami tag drawback is that it's such a long bar (17 stars?) And even when you get it you have to use it just at the right time. But when you do, you're golden. Just by then you may not have much left.

the most Lethal thing to do in Dual strike was to have Eagle have his turn, then use the Dual co power, so then Eagle Strikes a second time, and then the icing on top, end his turn and tag with the next CO you chose and have a 3rd turn on one single turn...

now that was my most lethal strategy in the game, lol

He is by far one of my faves. Why exactly? Not because of this meh music, but because on the last mission of AW2, all three armies were on their last pieces, in fact, Max's army on the side was about to lose its last piece, and the bomber I planned on using to destroy the laser was 15 spaces away, had 15 fuel left, and one last bomb. And I was on 9 life and so I couldn't destroy it on one turn.

Then I used Lightning Strike.

@MessengerOfDreams That is a story of awesomeness. Plus, Eagle with Sami as duals on AW DS is deadly. Store up a Tag CO power & use it. Load a T-copter, move 12 spaces and drop an infantry unit near the enemy's HQ, then move the infantry 5 more spaces (or something ridiculous) for a one-shot HQ capture. That's something few people see coming. I sure didn't. :D

Why the hell did it take me so long to figure out that it would make sense for the green earth troops to be more eco-effecient in general? (eagles planes use less gas, jess is always refilling teh gas, and drake... well, dosn't quite fit. I guess he steals gas.)

@The0megaZer0 They have something like 70% attack power when they do a tag power. This percentage is under 100% when the two character doesn't like/hate eachother and is over 100% when they get along well. And the cause of this lower percentage is the attack of the green earth.
