About the snapshot.

It is not said that a photo of 1 megapixel is bad per se.

It depends on what type of light-sensor you have and what saturation-iteration it can handle.

if you have for instance, a beautiful photo from a professional photo-shoot, and you'll make it 1 megapixel, it will still look the same.

its a pretty good camera but i hate the touch buttons,

when your recording if you bump them the menu comes up and then you cant see what your trying to record thats why i went with the model previous to this one, its the exact same camcorder except instead of micro sd its standard sd and no touch buttons. (:

of course you can charge the battery, it can last years, you just have to plug it to an electricity outlet.

I just got one mz-mg670bu, and for the last 3 months it was working so fine, until the vid cam quit uploading in you tube.Any ideas? I was calling the pixella, for the last 2 weeks now, and dont have any reply. Is anybody outhere who can help mewith this.

I also have the problem with the compressing the video and I also had problems from JVC support the software with the camera. I was sent to the software company for the problems I was having. Other then this you're right it is a great camera. I got mine on sale for 249.00

I have purchased a JVC pro 1/2 inch 3 ccd camera ,it had problems so I sent it in.

After spending $500.00 on it 19 hours later it had the same exact problem.

Sent it back and was told they wanted another $200.00 from me to repair the same issue.

If they treat a pro camera this way how do you think they'll treat your $1,000.00 camera ?

lol everyone should stay from jvc, i always heard it had the worst customer serivce.. Was your jvc cam under warranty. I don't understand why do consumers buy new video cams. This jvc gz mg330 is an awful over priced cam. It has a 1/6' sensor that almost all consumer cams have been having for the past 20 yrs lol. (basically no image quality increase). Plus you paying for a camera that puts waya way way way too much compression. At least mini dv is not terribly compressed lol. Consumers are idiot

I have a JVC GZ-MG670BU with a 80GB hard drive... what third party software did you use to compress the video?..

Also, is it possible to stream video from the camera through my pc to my TV? Like, my pc is connected to my HDTV via 1080p HDMI, can I stream the video from the camera itself through a USB connection instead of having to export it to my computer?.. I don't want to have to buy a miniHDMI to HDMI cable just for this.. haven't tried it yet, will try when I get the camera back from fam.

hook it with usb or fireiwre while it is in the playback mode, not the record mode. It'll automatically detect the connection that way,

there is no mic input for an external microphone on this featured jvc model.

canon's fs100/10/11 range does have a microphone input.

i have the JVC HD7 when i play back my video i can take photos straight from my video mine has a 60GB hdd and it was worth the money as i am getting into photography so i wanted a better camera.

that camera is great for small projects like the vacation holiday's and school memories
