I was about to cry when I thought that they were going to pick up a baby chicken and kill it there and eat it... :( I hope you were telling the truth when you said that they just take it home!!
Hey i love your videos.Well how hard is it to get a job as a teacher in japan. And are there any other jobs they offer to people with american college degrees?
I saw this TV show called Toribia no Izumi (Trivia fountain if translated) and they did a kabotomushi tournament(the beetle at 7:15 ) and they took a few from around the world and they did a tournament and the winner was Herakuresu ou kabuto. (giant heracress beetle)
this is awesom :) one questions are the food there safe to eat ? are they clean ? like will you get ill after eating it ? and would they sel dog meat or stuff like that...
oh M G... im sick and tired of eating Burger King and Jack in the box..... let move to japan... lol jk... but seriously every restuarant (i refer to american ones) such as Danny's, Chada, Ihop... most of the items on their menu are fried stuffs.... :((((
i know that kids in japan likes to keep beatles as pets so i think he was selling tthem as pets not food.
the baby chick thing i'm not sure but i know there are goldfish catching games at festivles and they keep what they catch. this baby chick thing could be the same so i think this title is misleading.
At 1:36 in this video and also other places on the net I see the "sa" is all connected together, but I was taught that there is no curvy bit, just a line... is that just a variation?
Jedi Cops, chick fishing, awesome food, Japan rules! When I get older, I want to move to Japan (after I learn to speak Japanese of course.) because I'm tired of America. Nothing special happens here but over there they have festivals every month, awesome technology, funny game shows and so much more.
This looked fantastic, makes me want to go to a festival now! Hope you put more videos liek this sometime, it's interesting to see actual life in japan.
lmao! ham is classified as vegetables in japan? lmao sugoi! i went to japan, my parents forced me to go with them to climb mt fuji. at the little food they fed us cuz they eat tiny portions walked for 8 hours straight (and climbed) slept for 1h45m and climbed to top. rested for 30 min and back down. omg i puked on top. I have marked my territory!
Ok, so the "Hiyoko age", in this "age" means "to pick". So it's not "fried hiyoko" When U say "to fry", I thought, you know what I mean. I used to stuff my face with these festival foods, and I didn't recall "Fried hiyoko" back then.
Well noticed. Yeah, in this case it's "hitotsu kudasai". Don't worry about it, you'll learn which one to use with lots of listening practice. e.g. in the Months of the Year song we use "ichi gatsu", but if you want a beer it's "biiru hitotsu!"
ohh ok thanks! hhmm maybe if i'm trying to buy or want something, i say 'hitotsu', but if i'm counting something, i guess i just say 'ichi'?? oh, and if i move to Japan, is it true they are racist? cuz i'm white american, and i hope i don't go to japan and get discriminated, cuz i think it's cool place
OMG i cant wait to go to Japan im having trouble learning japanese but apart from that if all else fails like that dude said Just Point at things hehe ^_^
i have to say that Yakitori is spelled wrong and i problably think its supossed to be yakutori... im just starting to learn japanese all by my self.. but i looked it up and the form for 'to bake or to grill is YAKU and tori is bird
Thanks for the feedback. Yaku is the verb "to bake/grill/etc.", Yaki means more like "baked/grilled/etc." so for the food it's Yakitori, or Yakiniku ( for grilled meat) etc.

it is very safe. very clean. No dog meat.
Just try to avoid Fugu on the menu unless a veteran who has prepared fugu for a long time has cooked it and cleaned it. And the food is fantastic.
I lived in japan until I was 8. I had to move to america because my dad gets more money in America than Japan.
But I am visiting japan for 2 weeks on july 3rd.

they DONT fry the baby chicken...
the "age" used here is 上げ(lift), not 揚げ(fry). They both are read "age" but the meaning is completely different, and the kanjis are different too.
But the fact they are using the baby chickens as toys is sad.

Japanese common sense, We buy TAKOYAKI and TAIYAKI and RINGOAME and DANGO by "MATSURI" usually and to eat.
Most girls wear YUKATA!
This is a picture of the MATSURI of the considerably old countryside.
When all girls wear it, YUKATA looks like pretty and cute!!!
