  • Aww~ I love KFC (or fried chicken whatever) but seeing those cute little baby chickens... :O And the next moment they're fried meat... Aw.

  • JEDI POLEEECE

  • Hmmmm, yakitori. The chicken hearts one looks soooo tasty. I love chicken hearts.

  • Hey i love your videos.Well how hard is it to get a job as a teacher in japan. And are there any other jobs they offer to people with american college degrees?

  • I saw this TV show called Toribia no Izumi (Trivia fountain if translated) and they did a kabotomushi tournament(the beetle at 7:15 ) and they took a few from around the world and they did a tournament and the winner was Herakuresu ou kabuto. (giant heracress beetle)

  • this is awesom :) one questions are the food there safe to eat ? are they clean ? like will you get ill after eating it ? and would they sel dog meat or stuff like that...

  • it is very safe. very clean. No dog meat.

Just try to avoid Fugu on the menu unless a veteran who has prepared fugu for a long time has cooked it and cleaned it. And the food is fantastic.

I lived in japan until I was 8. I had to move to america because my dad gets more money in America than Japan.

But I am visiting japan for 2 weeks on july 3rd.

  • What part in Japan where you in this Video?

    Also Really Cool!

  • oh M G... im sick and tired of eating Burger King and Jack in the box..... let move to japan... lol jk... but seriously every restuarant (i refer to american ones) such as Danny's, Chada, Ihop... most of the items on their menu are fried stuffs.... :((((

  • wats jack in the box? we dont hav that here in aus :) but burger king is called hungry jacks.

  • I love GenkiJapanNet's videos!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    when are they?

    thx

  • plz at 3:51 wat did she say?

and awesome vid X D All tought i feel sorry for the baby chikens *sniff*

  • The do not cook the baby chickens, they take them home as a pet.

  • 冷しパイン or Hiyashi Pain (Hi-Ya-Shi Pah-ih-nn)

  • What happened to the baby chick?

  • it got deep fried and eaten :)

  • I think he says that people bring them home. Some kind of pet, maybe.

  • I'm sorry to ask, but how hard is it to meet someone, romanticly I mean, in Japan?

  • It's just the same as anywhere else! It's all a case of how well you present yourself and how special you make the other person feel!

  • Okay, thank you ^^ I love your videos btw, can't wait for more.

  • dango is the best! :3

  • they DONT fry the baby chicken...

the "age" used here is 上げ(lift), not 揚げ(fry). They both are read "age" but the meaning is completely different, and the kanjis are different too.

But the fact they are using the baby chickens as toys is sad.

  • cool :3

i want to go to japan ._. and catch some fish at a festival. that would be so awesome

  • oooooo! =Ddude im like ur biggest fan D< i admire u get to travel so much ;~;

  • What a very wonderful video! Really captures the true feeling of the festivals!!

  • YUMY YUMY

    Japanese Food Are the best

    I wana eat some S:

  • i know that kids in japan likes to keep beatles as pets so i think he was selling tthem as pets not food.

the baby chick thing i'm not sure but i know there are goldfish catching games at festivles and they keep what they catch. this baby chick thing could be the same so i think this title is misleading.

  • You talk too much in this video! But some of the food looks good.

  • maaaaannn throw that hercules beetle on a girl and watch them start crying dont ever bring that thing to american

  • whose happened to girl who fishing on chicks head? they eat it? tell meh please!

  • hey c'mon we don't eat baby chickens lol

    btw ty for video :)

    have a nice stay

  • oh uh

  • Ok I'm confused, do they actually EAT the baby chicks?!

  • LOL awesome video! planning to visit Japan some day.

  • omg i though it was going to be fried but I know you just "fish "for one and take as pets

  • Fresh ginger LOL

  • At 1:36 in this video and also other places on the net I see the "sa" is all connected together, but I was taught that there is no curvy bit, just a line... is that just a variation?

  • Thankyou so much for sharing!!! Great video, as always!

But, dear god...you scared me to death with the deep fried hiyoko thing; I was SO, SO, SO glad to hear that they don't really do that. x'D

    Anyway, 5/5~ XD

  • that's horribe, poor chickens, just newborns....

  • It's no different then veal in America which I think is baby cow...

  • is it safe to h´just han over a sum of money, and trust that they'll give you the right change???

  • Oh yeah!

  • poor baby chicken :'(

  • those baby chicks remind me of a posting in a newspaper from a reader, who told about a conversation with his younger brother.

  • Phew... I'm glad the chicks aren't deep fried! :)

  • jedi police.. lol

  • That all looks good- besides the squid, octopus, and baby chickens. o_O

    ...I'm obviously American.. XD

  • Me 2! :DDDD

  • that was awesome dude thx

  • why is bacon a vegtable!?

  • whose is this funny voice?

I think she's your girl friend in Japan

    I envy you

  • I'm a bit confused, isn't ichi one?

If yes; then wouldn't it be ichi kuda sai?

  • just like how english has first, second and third. japanese is sortof the same but abit different so hitotsu is one

  • Yes (Hai) Ichi is one. But i guess they change it around or he made a mistake. Idk

  • Thanks 4 the video!

  • i love your videos!!!!

  • Aaww lol, poor baby chickens <3

  • where is this?

  • Awesome I love festivals. Japan looks so cool. I wish I lived there :(

  • word

  • I actually thought they were gonna eat the chicken!

  • man, now I'm hungry..I want to try all of those foods.

  • i'm hungry and i already brush my teeth. o well

  • i didnt see any taiyaki... ;p

  • Sugoi! I really want to go now! Sounds so fun

  • I want to go to one!!!

  • Jedi Cops, chick fishing, awesome food, Japan rules! When I get older, I want to move to Japan (after I learn to speak Japanese of course.) because I'm tired of America. Nothing special happens here but over there they have festivals every month, awesome technology, funny game shows and so much more.

  • i thought they were going to eat the chick too. That was a clever trick.

  • Japanese common sense, We buy TAKOYAKI and TAIYAKI and RINGOAME and DANGO by "MATSURI" usually and to eat.

    Most girls wear YUKATA!

This is a picture of the MATSURI of the considerably old countryside.

When all girls wear it, YUKATA looks like pretty and cute!!!

The opinion of the Japanese man...^^;)/笑

  • This looked fantastic, makes me want to go to a festival now! Hope you put more videos liek this sometime, it's interesting to see actual life in japan.

  • if i go to japan i would be fat because i would try all of their foods

  • actually you wouldnt because alot of its seafood. i would have trouble with food the only thing i would eat is Avacado Roll.

  • man i love japanese

  • Was anyone wearing a yuakta?

  • oooo man i wanna go to Japan soooooo bad!!!!!

  • lmao! ham is classified as vegetables in japan? lmao sugoi! i went to japan, my parents forced me to go with them to climb mt fuji. at the little food they fed us cuz they eat tiny portions walked for 8 hours straight (and climbed) slept for 1h45m and climbed to top. rested for 30 min and back down. omg i puked on top. I have marked my territory!

  • Wow... that is some very interesting foods...

The video was good though! I actually want to try some of the foods! (Not the octopus or squid though) >.>

  • thats just evil with the chick lol. i would love to bring a chick, or a turtle home....but a hercules beetle??? ugh...omg

  • i like turtles

  • ew octopus XD

but this is very informative video, thanks for making it

  • the okonamiaki(spelling) looked DEE-lishious!!

  • That lady's voice made me have a laugh or two!! :)

  • Ok, so the "Hiyoko age", in this "age" means "to pick". So it's not "fried hiyoko" When U say "to fry", I thought, you know what I mean. I used to stuff my face with these festival foods, and I didn't recall "Fried hiyoko" back then.

  • wwoww... I want to try them all.

Where in Japan? I will eat good Japanese food someday. I'm broke for now. hehe.

  • cool felt like I was in japan

  • Thanks !!!

  • i thought "ichi" means "one", not "hi to tsu", can someone explain please? thank you, very appreciated!! xD

  • Well noticed. Yeah, in this case it's "hitotsu kudasai". Don't worry about it, you'll learn which one to use with lots of listening practice. e.g. in the Months of the Year song we use "ichi gatsu", but if you want a beer it's "biiru hitotsu!"

  • ohh ok thanks! hhmm maybe if i'm trying to buy or want something, i say 'hitotsu', but if i'm counting something, i guess i just say 'ichi'?? oh, and if i move to Japan, is it true they are racist? cuz i'm white american, and i hope i don't go to japan and get discriminated, cuz i think it's cool place

  • i always wondered what dango wass...

does fishing the chicks hurt the chicks?

i mean u hang something in the fishing rod,

does it go in the stomach of the chick?

    uuughh

  • Lawl. I like the japanese jedi police XD

  • OMG i cant wait to go to Japan im having trouble learning japanese but apart from that if all else fails like that dude said Just Point at things hehe ^_^

  • THE DANGO LOOKS SO DELICIOUS!!!!!

  • omg they dont hurt the baby chicks do they @?!!?!!?!?!!?

  • Think of the food. Not the chickens.

  • i have to say that Yakitori is spelled wrong and i problably think its supossed to be yakutori... im just starting to learn japanese all by my self.. but i looked it up and the form for 'to bake or to grill is YAKU and tori is bird

  • Thanks for the feedback. Yaku is the verb "to bake/grill/etc.", Yaki means more like "baked/grilled/etc." so for the food it's Yakitori, or Yakiniku ( for grilled meat) etc.

  • very welcome..now i didnt mean to be smartmouthed as you see.. but im glad i can help:D

  • Fruits covered in sugar...

    GOD BLESS JAPAN!!

  • KAMI BLESS JAPAN

  • Oh, I wish I could go to a matsuri. i wanna try all of those foods!
