Now, these same greyhound BREEDERS want an override of the veto!

Call your lawmakers. Ask them to REJECT any proposal to override Governor Carcieris veto of S 286, Substitute B.

Watching this always makes me shed a tear Andro, these dogs are beautiful on the inside and out, each time I meet one I just don't want to stop hugging them, they are almost impossible to let go! I never knew that until I had the pleasure to be around them and they simply stole my heart forever. Some have thier ears cut off and are abandoned. Some are hung when they can no longer race. Some are given to research facilities for horrible experiments. On the good side though, some are adopted out. Thanks my friend for the question. I hope I didn't terrorize you. It is unfortunate what happens to a lot of these greyhounds. I appreciate though that you care enough to want to know.

Such wonderful dogs. It is so wrong to abuse them for money and throw them away as if they are nothing. END DOG RACING NOW! Thank you to all those who save a life by working at rescue groups or adopting a 100mph lap dog. My Great Dane is a rescue and I'm so happy and lucky that I get to love him every day.

If any-one knows of specific diets - non-invasive therapy or anything else that would augment his steroid treatment I would be grateful. Surgery,even for the gold beads is not an option. My Tip has an anesthetic reaction also and he has a infiltrated lipoma that sits on his siotic nerve. So I sure know what you mean. Let me know if you find out what to do. Thanks again my friend.

Wobblers is a genetic defect. There's a narrowing of the spinal column and because the messages from the brain to the nerves are disrupted the dog's legs shake and and the paws are often placed incorrectly. Severity varies and many become paralyzed. There is more info if you google it. Please do not breed a dog that has wobblers. It is prevalent in Great Danes and Dobermans,watch for early sings. It breaks your heart to see your dog go through the pain etc.

When pooch adopted me I made a commitment for life. I will look after him for as long as he needs. Right now it is pretty common for him to lose control of his bowels,because of the wobblers. We just clean up and carry on. Most days are good, so pooch is happy and that's all that matters. I believe you make a commitment for life not for convenience.

You got it Pooch! It was so funny and amazing to see my partner fall in love with Pooch as much as I did. I did pay an adoption fee. If people want a dog I think it is best to see if you can adopt one first,sometimes you can't. Buying a mistreated dog to save it is a noble thing. Hope you get your Greyhounds.

Nice video and a good song. These dogs are abused too in several ways. For example in Spain the dogs are hung up in the forrests after the races if they don´t win.

There are some organisations here which rescue these dogs(not only greyhounds also the Galgo Espanol). No matter what breed we love they all need our help on this planet because no matter where you go there are human monsters everywhere.....
