  • thanks for posting this video . ive been searching for this solution of covering events solo !

  • @thucie glad it helped you out. You can also check out the xshot which is a small extendable device for this. I made a video using it so take a look for it my videos. cheers, michael

  • Hey, Michael - Great spot. Wish you would have included a short clip of the view from the camera.

  • @Konabish thanks, seems like a long time ago that was shot. What did you want to see clearer?

  • this is the reason i am buying a mono pod, great review, thanks

  • @RyanXHavok great to hear, check out the xshot 2.0 as it's small and lightweight vs. a full monopod.

  • @projectgadget will do, also one last thing. I also have a Samsung HMX-H104 HD cam, do you think it would be too heavy for this specific monopod, if so which monopod of a different make or model would you be able to recommend?

  • @RyanXHavok You can do it, I use a Panasonic Lumix that is fairly heavy and not an issue.

  • Indeed a great idea! If you want to do the same with a more compact version you can easily carry with you, check out the XShot camera extender too.

  • Great timing as I have the XShot Review just about done in video / blog post for project gadget. The xshot 2.0 and iphone attachment were first rate and excited to publish. Thanks

  • Appreciate the feedback and thanks for watching.

  • I'm gonna tease you with the answer till I get the video up on my channel! I can say this much they are very very cool.

  • I'm going to shoot a video most likely Monday and throw it up on my channel showing some similar stuff and one that will blow everyone away! Great idea struck me while in Home Depot!

  • Sounds great, hmm pvc, wood or metal?

  • Great way to get another use out of gadget many would never have thought of.

  • I was looking for something that I could use by myself to film an interview or solo video. I had my monopod and flipped the end 45 degrees and though why not.. Thus, my inspiration for the video and love that it's a cheap solution that can be purchased in so many places. Enjoy!

  • I just finished commenting on your other video and how I wished someone would provide good advice for the common guy and then this came up. Way cool. You're on to something here.

  • Thanks for the great feedback and now that I have upgraded my cameras I will have lots of reviews coming! thx

  • Great tip! thanks
