This whole Tattered Spire thing reminds me of the school system. Lucien being the head of the district, the Commandant being the principal, the officers being teachers and the recruits and prisoners being students. Only thing is that this is more honest about its goal to make you into a mindless member of a work force.

first of all what i dont get is, why would prisoners need guarding when its impossible for them to get out of the cell? and secondly, is there any point in starving people that are value to you? surely slaves would work harder when they had a full stomach rather than dying of starvation. MEGA fuck up story wise

I understand where you are coming from, but perhaps it is Lucien's morbid way of keeping them under his willpower. He kidnaps those he needs for construction on the spire and gains his guards from the crucible. Therefore, I think that Lucien believes the slaves as dispensable, a commodity that he can just take for his own from anywhere he pleases.

Its because they are teaching the slaves a lesson for being disobedient, and if one dies, they bring it more. In short, slaves are expendable. And the cell block has guards to torture the prisoners.

they can't be all that expendable lol theyre people and sooner or later ur gonna run out o people lol and the guards arent doin anythin outside the cell besides standin there. they just have a massive lever next to them that will feed them which they wont. lucius could go round doin that himself. god i forgot i commented on here since it was 2 months ago. not that interested in fable 2 now.....

Run out of people? They can simply capture more people. Slaves by nature are expendable. I mean since the Commandant and related creatures command Shards, they can simply capture people. And with the Guard flow, they keep recruiting them via Crucible and propaganda.

No matter how far you swim towards it after the wish is made, you don't get any closer to it. And there is a bit in the See The Future DLC that allows you to go to the spire to visit Theresa. She shows you a vision of the future, then kicks your ass out.

ummm, I just defeated the commadant and it tells me to use the cullis gate to the docks but...it wouldn't let me use them...I saved and quit to retry and now the cullis gates aren't even active! What do I do?
