Fallout NV VE error

I download the Fallout nv ve and it opens in word pad what do I do?

@izpwning33 Are you sure your running the .exe file? If you open the folder that was downloaded, there will be "itemdb" (folder) FalloutNV VE (Application) and "readme" (Text Document) You might be hitting the readme because your computer should know how to run applications being your internet browser is an application. Also, that might happen if your trying to use it on a Mac.

Just like to say thanks to GuiltyJunkEater for asking my question and Badassbusdriver for the help and also it corrupted for me when i modified what I was wearing just if you want to like bring that to attention in another vid if you haven't already...

@GuiltyJunkEater It means that the file is corupt... When does this happen? Is it when you open the save on your computer with FalloutNVVE or when you try to play it on the Xbox?

@GuiltyJunkEater Did you Rehash and Resign the save with Modio? When you don't the Xbox will say the file is corrupt.

@GuiltyJunkEater Try using a different save. Go into your game and save twice (one as a backup)

Then, add a few items, not many though (don't touch your specials or level)

Make sure you save your changes in FalloutNVVE

Now drag the file into Modio and hit rehash and resign (It will be in the bottom left of the box that pops up)

This is when you drag the save back into your hard drive

Safely remove device (Right had corner of your screen. Their is a little arrow that opens more options Now try it

I get what your doing and everyhting, just moving things around to create a path, but when I downloaded 7zip(no problem) I couldn't find users/{name}/downloads i couldnt even find users, so i have no idea where to look. This is the path that it is trying to find.if thats helps, C:\Documents and Settings\Mary\My Documents\itemdb\falloutnv.tsv­'.

@BadAssBusDriver you have to put the file you download it with the itemdb thing with the falloutnv ve in a folder

@imRootyy I have no idea what your trying to say... Itemdb is the item database that FalloutNVVE uses, so with out it, the program can't run. It comes inside the folder with FalloutNVVE, as well as a "read me" text file.

So I started a new game so I can play it on Hardcore mode, and I edited my charter with VE and I maxed out the specials and my stats and changed the other stats like wg ap etc, and I loaded my game, and my charcater just tipped over and he’s just laying there on the floor, what seems to be the problem? I tried almost everything. Is it because I changed something? And What’s player size? Or size?

@GeeDGAF If you want to be 10 stories tall, knock your self out. Only problem is that you take fall damage after the same height, meaning even if your 80 feet tall, you take fall damage after 10 ft.  I don't suggest it.

Okay, now to answer your first question. The number that you put in the box "WG" is how much extra weight you can carry. Meaning if you character holds 200 lbs, then you put 300 in that box, you can now hold 500. Negative numbers make you carry less. I did that one time.

I'm using the version 4.1 and every time I load a save into the editor the player exp, player skills, all other stats and the hardcore stats are all set to -2,147,483,648. I will reset all numbers to 0. and change the numbers to what I desire, but as soon as I load the save into the game they are all -2,147,483,648. again. Any suggestions?

@MicrosoftInJapan I'm not really sure. When you load your game on your xbox, what rank does it give you? I know you tend to get problems when changing your xp, but I'm not really sure to do for that? Maybe trying different saves, it might just be one is somewhat corrupt.

@MicrosoftInJapan Are you in a DLC? I know in the 2nd one, it lowers your Hard Core stats so you don't have to sleep, drink, and eat.

Respond to this video... Sorry to make another comment, but I tried going back to version 4.0 and all the stats are -2,147,483,648 as well so it must be my saves, but I have no idea what could be wrong.

@MicrosoftInJapan I have never actually experienced this problem unless your hard core were reduced. My suggestion is try another save. If you still have this problem then try clearing your system cashe.

@MicrosoftInJapan i had this problem too but i found a way to fix it im guessing you downloaded old war blues? it causes this bug where everything is negative like you said to bypass this start a save that doesnt have old war blues on it then modify what you want then after youve done all that and it worked then you can reinstall old war blues and also you can modify stuff later stiil with old war blues after youve done that bypass and it wont be all messed up hoped that helped

when i open falloutnv ve it says could not find 'C:\users\landon\desktop\readm­e.txt'.

@landocomoando Instead of looking for "Itemdb" the program is looking for the a text file that was included in the folder. If you would like, I could email you the text file. Being it is a text file, I would be able to email it to you. Send me a message (Not comment) if your interested. You could also search your computer for "readme.txt" this would be quicker, unless you deleted it.

@DaRkzVeLoCiTy The folder ItemDB has to be in the same folder that that the program is in. Thats why it says "index out of range"

Its out of date. Currently that Fallout NV editor needs to get deleted. Download the new one Fallout NV VE 4.0

@HeAdFuLLOfBullEts The person who makes it is always working on a new version. Every few weeks their is a new one out. 3.9 was released about a month ago, but I'll go try the new version. All of them work though... All that is really added is stuff for the ad ons.

@BadAssBusDriver what exactly do you mean by in the same folder because for some reason i dont have a folder for the editor its just a .rar file that says it extracts but it just opens the editor and when i go to my documents and downloads it the rar file doesnt show up i have to go to my downloads in firefox....and also i have not messed with it i downloaded it and opened it and thats what happend

@ryanvalentine911 do to downloads, right click the file and click "Open containing folder" then you can drag it to the desktop. You'll need to use 7zip or winrar to extract the files with in it, being you cant run an rar file
